Our CR Meme CR Workship is where players can drop all the cool info for their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. Be sure to look over the MANTA Board as well as current events if you'd like to include them in your post.

We also include a designated toplevel for Crew Recruitment where players can make OOC ad posts for others to either join or request to join or make a crew. This is all for OOC coordination, so you'll have to figure out how it works ICly.

About: Roxas is the Nobody of series protagonist Sora. Or former Nobody, it gets a bit weird. Regardless, he's recently gained a body of his own and was all set to start living his life properly as a normal kid and ended up here instead. He's a little less than thrilled at having his plans messed with but you do what you gotta, even if that means dealing with seasickness and the big scary ocean.
Roxas himself is a pretty easy going kid. He's very much a teenager and doesn't trust super easily. He's fairly cautious, unless you manage to rile his temper up. But it's also pretty easy to break through that veneer and reveal the good kid underneath.

Abilities: Roxas has two keyblades, Oathkeeper and Oblivion and he knows how to use 'em (20x attack modifier baby!). He's also acquainted with various forms of magic, usually for combat. He's largely self-taught with both of those so someone else providing guidance is also welcome. Even if it's in an abstract way.

PLANS

General: I don't really have any major plans for Roxas this month. Mostly just exploring and getting used to things still. He's got two major hurdles to overcome, being his seasickness and not being able to swim, so he'll be working on those. Or just avoiding the water. (Please don't let him avoid the water)

He's got a couple castmates now, so he'll probably be checking in with them.

Also maybe getting a house? That would be cool.

MANTA Board: Roxas will be adopting Addersnap the Warrior Cat, who might make a good ship cat? Otherwise, I'm open for suggestions

Event: Roxas will probably have a top level. He'll probably be helping with pumpkins, helping with turkeys and all around just trying to be helpful. Maybe get some hot pot out of it. That sounds good.

CR Dreams: All kinds! Roxas needs friends, mentors, responsible adults, irresponsible adults, people who don't mind dealing with a teenager, rivals!
He can offer being a loyal friend, a person to go exploring with, a stubborn rival, among other things!

About: Permissions post first! His background has a lot of cws. Holland is so dour. He is so unsettling. He is just a wet blanket of a man. He acts like he doesn't care about anything, but he also gets seasick on boats and has never tasted cake. He is just so doomed by the narrative. His hobbies include enjoying nature, contemplating all the ways that his home sucks (and yet he still loves it,) and maybe discussing magic just to hear all the ways that other people's worlds suck less than his. He's going to take a while to open up to people, but if you want to chat up a guy who's definitely a stick in the mud, he's your guy. His world, Makt is also called White London, because it's cold and lifeless and dying, so that's what he has going on.

Abilities: Find the full list on his app but basically Holland can manipulate the elements with incredible ease, and is able to control people against their will, if he really wants to. If you want him to, that is. His cool unique thing from his world is that he can use blood magic and will probably do that often, so once again [points my hands at his permissions post repeatedly]

PLANS

General: I don't have any solid plans for Holland yet, besides giving him a chance to try and do some of the quests so that he can chill the fuck out. He doesn't know the first thing about most things that aren't survival, but he can kill stuff real good. He'll honestly probably be settling in to start, so he'll probably be sticking to Nogard for the month (and getting seasick on every journey, ugh.)
MANTA Board: You know he's got opinions about Gallows, that's a must.
Event: Did I mention he's good at killing stuff? And that his magic can control bodies (bones)? Holland will likely be doing some hunting

CR Dreams: Honestly maybe people who are patient with his weird ass. Or someone who engages with him academically. He's snarky at heart and it'd be fun for someone (besides Kell) to see that side of him. You just have to kind of stick with him, I promise once he cares about you, it'll be ride or die.

About: Straight-forward and rebellious, Aerith wears her mischievousness like a badge of honor. She's a spunky young woman and shrewd business woman, having spent a great deal of time selling flowers— As a naturally adaptable person, she's surprisingly street smart even though she definitely comes off as being very quirky. Aerith is sweet, kind, flirtatious and snarky; she's got a biting sense of humor that likely feels a bit pointed, thanks to how perceptive she is.

Abilities: She's here with her Mythril Rod, four materia, and all that Cetra weirdness! You can read about that in depth here, in her app, but the tl;dt is that she's a healer who can talk to flowers. No, really! The materia she's come in with are elemental ice, healing, and Summon Bahamut (self explanatory). As for tattoos, I'm very heavily considering giving her some purification powers at some point (soooo useful i'm sure lol) but also probably something that might help her grow some flowers!

PLANS

General: In the short term, I would adore for her to open up more to people about her history as the last of the Cetra. I'd also like to get her started on potion crafting in lieu of floristry, just for the time being. Additionally, I'd love for Aerith to get out and enjoy the free world for a bit— she's spent so much of her life under some kind of steel ceiling that the possibilities are endless for her right now! I'm open to whatever CR happens to blossom between our characters, and I love playing things by ear since organic development is my bread and butter. In the long term, I'm hoping to have her set up shop on her own and settle in as an independent adult in her own right, living freely and happily; that said, she has an uncanny ability to get in trouble thanks to her need to have fun, and will likely be on that (or any!) treasure hunt like white on rice.
MANTA Board: I'm signing Aerith up for Claws & Companions, but I'm eyeballing Leap of Faith and A Healing Mix-Up for general prompts. For Paladin-specific quests, I'm definitely looking at Fountain of Blades because, hello? Who wants to see when Aerith and her mother escaped Shinra?? Finally, both bounties are appealing to me... Someone help me narrow it down HAHA
Event: I'm going to be tagging out this time! I'm happy to write up starters, though, so please let me know what's up on your end. Aerith will be there telling everyone that Cloud looks like a turkey, but she will likely be there on Nogard for monster wrangling, with bells on. Food? Food. Feed her.

CR Dreams: I would Love for Aerith to get challenged a lot on being a Paladin, mostly because she's such a free bird that I thought people might be surprised by how easily she shrugs about it! I would also adore for her to deal with sourpusses who might be caught off guard by how much of a tomboy she is. She loves people she can banter with, tease, and drag into danger with her. She's the sort to not really care about any armada rivalries so expect her to stick her nose in everyone's business regardless of what happens. Additionally: Non-humans, please! Come to me! Aerith is half-human, and I would adore the chance for her to tell people about it on her own terms. Don't you want to hear about aliens?? (Sorry about ffvii lore) Finally, anyone who can understand how she might have felt being locked up for part of her life in a testing facility... It may take her a bit to open up about, but I'm sure we can work on something!!

Phennoix || Fenris

About: Best known as a magic hater and a slaver killer, Fenris is a complicated elf covered in lyrium markings who wields a great sword about the same size as himself. Prickly, broody, grumpy, and world weary, but often holds a veneer of calm for the most part. Fenris can come across as prideful, unfriendly, blunt, and harsh, but he can also apologize for his unkindness when undeserved and even make very sarcastic and dry jokes.

He comes with some CWs in general due to his backstory, these include Slavery, Murder, Amnesia, Body Modification, and Trauma related to being a slave. I am able to skirt around them but if you want to get to know him these are likely to eventually come up.

Abilities: He's an excellent twohanded great sword fighter! As far as canon supernatural abilities go, Fenris is giving in and getting a tattoo.

So canon abilities is he has Lyrium scars all over his body, these look like tattoos or markings to most people but due to the lyrium in them they connect him to the Fade. These markings give him a number of abilities, the primary one being the ability to phase completely through objects, attacks, and people. Also allows him to do things like partially phase through people before becoming solid again and killing them. He can also fade into a wraith like state and become difficult to track and help him negate magical attacks. When in his wraith like state he can flare with dark energy and cause a blast of spiritual force.

As far as tattoo abilities, I want it to be something like healing, something that he ends up having to use against his desire to. Maybe something shielding that he can use accidentally in combat and such. Something that's useful and he can't really help but to use at times.

PLANS

General: General plans are for him to come to terms with magic being different here than it is back home, he wont ever become comfortable with Magic completely, but to find a middle ground of not hating all magic so viciously. I would love for him to make friends and allies and have some complicated relationships. Still figuring out what else to do with him both short term and long term but I am looking forward to the game!

MANTA Board: Fenris is getting himself a cat and teaching it to hate Anders. Also think the Coin of the Crescent might be fun! I definitely want to do lots of MANTA things, it seems super fun.

Event: MONSTER HUNTING!!!! YASSSSS! This is where Fenris shines, he's a battle boy! I will be topleveling, so please feel free to keep an eye out

CR Dreams: I would love friends and more found family, I would be super into possibly a romance (polyamorous something?) or a complicated something! Friends with Benefits for anyone he can come to trust. I don't do purely negative CR, but I do like it when it's got a level of friendliness or tolerance to it. Fenris lends himself to negative CR, so it's a careful balance.

About: Grumpy little shit (4'11) of a drow who'd be more funny if he wasn't a powerful psionicist who could shove nightmares into your brain by force. (He's still funny though.) Deeply antisocial and kind of a workaholic who basically only likes Jarlaxle, but he has an interest in magic items and a general curiosity for knowledge. Acerbic and mostly incredibly blunt, sometimes just very sarcastic.

Abilities: His laundry list of psionic abilities is too long to put here so I'm just gonna stick it over here. I also have a permissions post for his most used power, his ability to automatically read and know information from surface thoughts (essentially reading tag narration), so if you don't want to deal with that/want to customize what he sees or w/e, please feel free hit that up! Apart from All That he is also an artificer with documented experience in making both mundane..i guess trick weapons?? and magical items.

PLANS

General: Short term: Embarrass him and forcibly socialize him whether he likes it or not. I'm not here to have him brood in the corner all antisocial, by god he's gonna get CR. Positive, negative, I'll roll with anything, so have at him!
Long term: Possibly try to start making magic items again? He wants a more stable income than fucking around on a boat doing missions gives him and a more private space and if he's gotta sell his skills to do that he will.
MANTA Board: He will absolutely be doing a lot of experiments with Spellbound Circuitry, that's his big one. Otherwise, messing around with the Hither Thither staff, going coin hunting and maybe trying his hand at alcohol brewing could be fun.
Event: I'll be tagging out for sure! I might toplevel for hunting because when Kimmuriel gets frustrated he gets violent and needs to take out that energy on something, but I'm not totally certain about that yet. I WILL BE AROUND THOUGH.

CR Dreams: Honestly anything. Kimmuriel is a little shit and I want to settle him in. If he's too busy he won't be clawing at the walls trying to get back to work, essentially.

Nappa | Dragon Ball Z | Corsair

Canon: Dragon Ball Z, during the Saiyan Saga, just after he and Vegeta arrive on Earth, and before Nappa blows up a city (that happens so much in DBZ)

About: Nappa is a veteran Saiyan warrior working for the Frieza Force, an intergalactic gang of space pirates that trade in planets under a tyrant named, well, Frieza. The entire Saiyan race used to work for Frieza, but unfortunately Frieza blew their planet and most of the Saiyans up A METEOR STRUCK THEIR PLANET WHILE 99% OF THE SAIYANS HAPPENED TO BE THERE. Nappa was one of the handful spared and spent the next two decades continuing to work for Frieza alongside Vegeta until their fellow surviving Saiyan, a fellow named Raditz, got killed on a planet out in the boonies called "Earth" while looking for his kid brother Kakarot, who had grown up there and gone native. Having discovered from listening in on Raditz's Scouter that the Dragon Balls, mystical wish-granting artifacts, existed there, Vegeta and Nappa set off in their space pods to Earth to grab them and become immortal. They spent a year traveling through space, but as almost as soon as they touched down, Nappa ended up being sent to Escordvi, where he quickly found a home with the Corsairs, who's lawless nature appealed to Nappa's own sensibilities.

Despite being in his fifties, Nappa is crude, loud, boisterous, and relies mostly on his brute strength and innate ki abilities to win fights. Like almost every Saiyan he has an innate love of battle and fighting, but he's not particularly smart or tactical, and like most bullies, is quick to change his tune when someone stronger than he is comes around, like Vegeta or Frieza. That said, he can (grudgingly) come to respect those of equal strength, provided they give good fights and don't act like twerps.

Abilities: Probably easiest just to link to his app than repeat it all here, but to sum up, Nappa's abilities include being able to turn into a giant monkey by absorbing energy from a full moon through his eyes, ki manipulation (energy blasts, explosions, and flight), as well as the innate Saiyan ability to become more powerful through combat, as Saiyans adapt to damage they take in battle while healing and become stronger and more resistant to it.

As far as items go, he has his Frieza Force armour, which can stretch to accommodate him as a Great Ape, his energy-assessing Scouter but power levels are bullshit so don't expect your character's ranking to mean much, and his vial of Saibamen Solution, which when poured into nutrient rich soil creates up to six of these adorable little guys don't let them Yamcha you

PLANS

General: Nappa got used pretty quick to the idea of being out from under both Frieza and Vegeta, and intends to enjoy his newfound freedom by making himself A Big Man. However, while he is very strong, he's not and never has been leader material so I don't foresee or want him to become a captain. However, he could be persuaded to join a crew as muscle with the right incentives. Mostly he's just here to fight, do some light looting and plundering, and get plenty of respect put on his name. That's short-term.

Long term however, because RP is fun, I'd really like to explore the possibility of Nappa undergoing a Vegeta-like Heel-Face turn arc, slowly shedding his Jerkass tendencies and becoming more of a good guy and protector. Probably what would have happened to him if he hadn't been crippled by Goku and then killed...by Vegeta, who went onto have a pretty decent life and more or less forgot about Nappa entirely. Ideally, I'm looking for people who can stand up to Nappa and not take any of his shit, and ideally point his strength towards nobler causes than simple wanton pillaging and looting. He'll always be kind of an asshole, but he'll become more of a Jerk With A Heart of Gold type.

And I want to get him his own pink "BADMAN" shirt because let's face it, he'd rock that fit.

Beyond that, I'd absolutely love for him to go all out as a Great Ape, at least once. He's not as strong as one in Escordvi, but he'd still be the size of a small house and five times as strong. I am open to the idea of him losing his tail at some point, but not before he has a chance to actually use his Great Ape form in a big ol' fight.
MANTA Board: I could actually see Nappa going for the warrior cat training, because, come on, WARRIOR CAT. Besides, the Saibamen listen to him, so clearly training some dumb cat will be easy peas, right? Riiiiiiight?
Event: Not sure yet, but I'd be happy to continue any TDM threads he had going, if people are down! I'll have to look more at it tomorrow.

CR Dreams: Strong fighters! I want people to fight Nappa, with varying degrees of success. The team of Earthling warriors he fought actually did a fairly decent job of wearing him down enough for Goku to finish the job (or, well, actually, Vegeta did, which, dick move pal. Dick. Move.), so despite his boasting he's not actually as powerful as he makes himself out to be. Granted, most of those warriors did die in the attempt, but it's DBZ, death is meaningless. He has no issue threatening innocent people to get what he wants, so that provides plenty of impetus for nobler Paladins (or even Corsairs) to step in and shut him down.

Beyond that, people who will be willing to put up with Nappa long enough for his Heel-Face Turn I talked about to start to stick. People he might actually start feelin' are kinda all right, for a bunch of wimps, and can motivate Nappa to funnel his strength into better purposes.

Dongfang Qingcang will be be attempting to train his new cat - Deathstar (destroyer of flour bags worlds) - and I would up for Nappa and him fighting and/or hunting together. Daqiang is a self-centered jerk but he's also a leader and used to being in charge. He'd be very up for testing the extent of the seal on his own powers with someone who can take the punishment.

Abilities: Going to link the app again, because there's a lot. But basically, he's an immortal god who has a variety of powers common to gods in the Xianxia genre and his primary element is fire, of which he controls literal Hellfire.

PLANS

General: Short-term plans: generally get him involved and give him some short-term goals to work towards in addition to one of his canon goals which he'll be seeing if he can resolve here. Nothing specific right now.
Long-term plans: this boy's emotions are coming back and he's going to be dealing with going from literally emotionless to having to feel again and it's going to be confusing for him. In canon, he speedruns the return of his emotions (and it steamrolls him) and I'd like to draw it out and explore what the reviving of his emotions could be like if he wasn't forced to feel them at maximum intensity, but could allow them to grow naturally.

MANTA Board: Doing Claws & Companions and wouldn't mind someone helping him train his newly acquired servant: Deathstar. yes, he expects the cat to be his servant and not the other way around. he will learn.

Also want to do Leap of Faith; Red XIII is going to be watching Dongfang learn he can no longer breath underwater the hard way.

And I'm planning on doing one of the two bounties. I haven't picked which one yet, but Dongfang is going to be murder happy because they're both weak to fire and he will finally have acceptable targets to flambe. If you're looking for someone to do one of the bounties with, hit me up to discuss it.

I am interested in participating in any of the other quests, regardless of credit (in the case of the paladin quests), to help develop CR.

Event: I plan on doing a top level with some sub-threads for my Manta Board Quests as well as tag around. Daqiang will be hunting - he's interested in the goblin shark or coibara more than the others due to the perceived challenge such prey provide.

CR Dreams: I'm looking for potential friends that Daqiang will not see as friends until his emotions grow a bit. I'm also up for him pissing people off because he's naturally very talented at that.

Maria is the sixteen year old daughter of former Speaker Tera and the Abbot of the church in Machecoul, Emmanuel. Emmanuel also turns out to be a Forgemaster (though of a different kind than Isaac and Hector in the original series).

Growing up in France during the very beginnings of the French Revolution Maria wholeheartedly embraces the revolution itself. She's seen the harsh effects the greed and lavish lifestyles of both the aristocracy and the Church have had upon the peasantry. She holds no love for the Church so don't be surprised if you hear her talking very disparagingly about it. She believes in personal freedom above everything else and is extremely headstrong and passionate about it.

Abilities:
* Swordsmanship Skills. Maria is pretty good with a rapier as well as a dagger! She shows little hesitance in putting her blade through vampire's hands or even faces.
* Summoning. Maria is a witch whose abilities are still developing. At present in canon she can typically summons three of the four Celestial Guardians of the Chinese Zodiac -- Byakko (the white tiger), Suzaku (the vermillion bird) and Genbu (the black tortoise). Here in Escordvi her summoned familiar will be different aside from the birds she can create with magical energy. She typically summons these familiars via portals.

* Escordvi Abilities. I sort of wanted to pay homage to her mother Tera by giving her either Fire or Ice abilities. Think somewhere along the lines of what Sypha had in the first series since Maria's mother was also a Speaker. Naturally Maria's won't be quite as powerful but it's a good starting point. I'm leaning towards Fire if only because it suits Maria's own fiery temperament, haha.

General:
I sort of want Maria to get the chance to do normal teenager stuff. She's been leading secretive revolutionary meetings and fighting vampires, she hasn't had time for downtime things really. Maybe see her try to lead something here as well? Oh and learning from other magic users!

MANTA Board: FIRST OFF, Claws & Companions is a yes from me. Pretty much everything in General (Spellbound Circuitry, Thinking with Portals, Leap of Faith), in particular A Healing Mixup as well. I'm also keenly interested in Gallow's Gambit.

Abilities: Oh boy! Naeva is a natural shapeshifter who can turn herself into an adorable yippy jackal and a nine foot tall monster lady. She can also just talk to animals. These are just the natural abilities that come with Naevas. She will be getting that tattoo going ASAP and regaining her nature magic and her healing magic, and she could be convinced to start expanding her old elemental powers or taking new ones after.

PLANS

General: Any ideas or plans you'd like to do with your character? This could be short term or long term.
MANTA Board: Naeva has of course immediately adopted a warrior cat! She may also try Battle of the Brewmasters of the Crescent Coins, though largely she'd be dragged towards either by what people around her are doing.

Event: I will probably stick to tagging out as I am new and easily frightened, but Naeva is definitely interested in the monster hunt and will be ALL up in that. She welcomes hunting buddies! She probably won't exsanguinate the game right in front of you!

CR Dreams: Naeva has a hard prickly exterior over a gooey grandma center and so I would absolutely love for people for her to adopt, the stranger the better. Come to her with your troubles and she will absolutely not understand but she will listen. You can hug her tiny jackal form. It's okay.

People who can pick up on and be a little AAAAA about the fact she is straight up half-vampire and needs a raw meat diet once a month are also welcome. She's used to it, she can take it.

- Ren is coming in able to summon his original Persona, Arsene, a cool winged guy in a top hat and knife heels.

Ren is also something known as a Wildcard, which means he can use more than one Persona; I'd love for him to slowly gain some more here in Escordvi based on the relationships he develops with people, as well as eventually maybe have Arsene evolve into his stronger form, Raoul, based on Ren's own development.

- He has a dagger and, in theory, knows how to use it... but the place he usually uses it in enhances your abilities to kind of wild levels based on cognition and things, so it's kind of a case of muscle memory not matching up to... actual muscle, right now. So I'd love for him to train/actually practice with it and fighting in general!

- As for tattoo stuff, he's going with a dark element of course (no he's not edgy, it's not a PHASE,) which means cool blasts of darkness and stuff etc, but I also think it'd be pretty fun to have him develop some debilitating skills with it. The dark element is called "curse" in his game so I like the idea of leaning into that and giving him, basically, status effect abilities too like sleep/confused/etc (within reason.) Maybe even eventually think of some way of healing with it- maybe like a health trade or something. But it'd be a fun way to get him to be more support for other people, too!

PLANS

General: Going off of what I mentioned above under abilities, I basically want Ren to continue his proud Persona Protag Tradition of meeting, befriending, and helping as many people as possible. Build those social links, man!!

I'm also excited to give him some more personal development since he really... does not get much in game (silent protag problems...), so I'm excited to basically shove him into any and all situations and see what sticks.

(He's also going to be on a personal mission of great importance in finding good coffee beans and a good way to make them, so caffeine fans welcome.)

MANTA Board: I think I'll probably have him participate in Leap of Faith, because he's a show-off and an adrenaline junkie, so heeeeey paladins! Do you trust this guy to fish you out of the water? He has a very untrustworthy face, apparently, so!

Gallows Gambit also sounds fun, since Ren would... totally not want to leave someone locked up, whether set for death or jail or all of the above. He's pretty good at picking locks, too, so if you need out- he's your guy!

Event: I'll probably top-level or do an open log or something, but right now I'm looking especially at all the options to do with cooking. Ren is a great cook and he loves doing it, so he'll be eagerly signing up for that.
He'll also be excited for monster hunts... the duality of man, etc.

Daria is a sarcastic but super intelligent young woman. She has snark but also wisdom for days. On the surface, she seems cold and misanthropic. Because she is. But there is a hidden kindness to her, and a depth that makes her sensitive to the world and its problems. Daria has a good heart, it's just also shrouded with distrust and cynicism. The cynicism really is her belief that people SHOULD be better. She has a good head on her shoulders, even though she's lazy. A morbid sense of humor who likes to rip into anything and anyone.

At this point though, she's slowly learned to be better at making friends. She's grown up a little with experience in life and in her journeys through the supernatural. So with a freedom to do what she wants to make a living, she'll slowly gain a new license of experience.

Abilities: Unless if you include impeccable perception and wisdom, she's a normal human with way below than normal athletic prowess. So she's going to be learning magic. Right now, she has a Plant Growth for a tattoo. But she'd gonna be a bit more mindful with practice and such, considering her first bout of it wiped her out too much (sorry Astarion).

General: Daria severely needs a support system. Once again, she's thrown into a world without her best friends. She's lonely, but generally wary when it comes to meeting strangers. As said above, she's a LITTLE bit better about meeting new people she otherwise wouldn't have interacted with. But it's going to take some warming up, and people who generally listen to what she has to say is a great start.

About: Benedikta Harman is a woman who is all about her survival and self-preservation first and foremost. Having climbed out of the depths of a cruel and terrible youth, she ascended to a place of power within the Kingdom of Waloed after being rescued, both by way of her talents in subterfuge and swordplay, and awakening as the Warden of the Wind, the Dominant of the Eikon, Garuda, which allows her to wield powerful wind magic. She is the Commander of Waloed's Elite Intelligencers, and is fiercely loyal to King Barnabas.

However, not everything is as it seems with her. She is loyal, yes, but to a fault, and is stung by the bitter bite of betrayal. She is ruthless, only cares about her own skin, and resents the world for what it has done to her. But deep down, who she really is is a woman who has looked and continues to find love and validation in all the wrong places...

In short: she's a mess. :)

Because FFXVI deals with some heavy shit, I have an opt-out for her here.

Abilities: Benedikta is a skilled spy as well as swordswoman, and being the Dominant of Garuda grants her access to power wind-based magic, as well as the ability to transform into Garuda herself.

🍃 MAGIC: In canon, she can wield strong wind magic, such as summoning tornadoes and violent gales, and can also teleport herself and anyone else she chooses to another location. Benedikta can also summon her egis, Suparna and Chirada (wind-based elementals). In Escordvi, I'd like for her to develop at least most (if not all) of this magic through her tattoo, and she has already started practicing plenty.

🍃 GARUDA: Being the Dominant of Garuda, she is able to take on two forms of the Eikon: semi-primed and fully primed by drawing upon her aether. When she is semi-primed, she grows a set of large feathered wings, has glowing green marks over her skin, and bright blue eyes. She is fast, agile, and powerful, and can summon claws that are large enough to tear apart buildings. When she is primed, she transforms into the much larger version of her Eikon. Under Garuda's influence, she can summon powerful, devastating wind storms. However, until she experiences a strong emotional trigger, Garuda will be taking on an itty bitty form.

General:

🍃 At the moment, she is dealing with the fact that Barnabas is gone and she is now... free? What does that even mean?
🍃 Also, him leaving is the first she is learning that anyone can be sent back against their will to their worlds at any time, so... that's fun considering she's dead and doesn't want to go back to being dead. So, she might be taking her panic out in all the wrong places, and on all the wrong people.
🍃 There will come a day when she learns about what happened to her after her death, and that will be the day that she primes into Garuda's full form, so keep an eye on the horizon, and stay away from those dark clouds.
🍃 I still really want her to steal a ship. But who is going to do that with her now? :(
🍃 On that note, stealing a ship with someone and then marooning them on an island would be fun. So would placing a bounty on someone's head just for pissing her off, so if you want a bounty on your character, she's your gal!
🍃 While I'm not looking to fully redeem her (because let's be real, she is far from fully redeemable), my main goal for her is to eventually come to terms with everything she's done wrong. She's gotten a taste of that after what happened in canon before arriving, but still has a long way to go before she accepts it. I have some plans in the works for how that's going to come about, but it's going to be a long journey to get there.

CR Dreams: Honestly, I'm great with any kind of CR but Benedikta isn't the most pleasant person (actually, far from it) so anyone who is okay with some negative CR would be ideal. People she can manipulate into doing her bidding, or people she can team up with and then betray later, whether they are paladin or corsair, she will take them. I have discovered that she does have a bit of a soft spot for younger girls who have had troubled pasts, so that would be a fun thing to explore! Also, I love pitting her against people who are really good at getting under her skin. But honestly, just give me all kinds of CR, I'm here for it.

About: Zhao is a former gang leader brimming with confidence and style. He's one of those people that excels in whatever interests him, so he's very good with kung fu, trolling people, swearing and cooking. He is a little more sensitive than he lets on as he just joined a new friend group that actually allows him to be himself.

Abilities: Yakuza: Like a Dragon has a job system where each character has their unique starter job and then a pool of jobs they can learn from. Zhao has his character job Gangster that lets him basically be a kung fu master, Chef which beans people with flame and sharp objects and Breaker that'll let him flip kick and breakdance on enemies. Extreme moves in all jobs are called Essences.

I think it'd be fun if he slowly develops a new Corsair job through the use of experience and the tattoo.

General: Zhao is going to look around, make some friends, acquire strong people on his side so if any of his friends from back home appear, hey look we already got a party! More long term plans are to run and own a restaurant and potentially make it a neutral area between Paladins and Corsairs.

About: Rem is a young, friendly woman who grew up in a world in which all as “blessed” to forget the dead. She’s a child solider, sees nothing wrong with this, and actively reaps souls (in her canon, called “phantoma”) when finished with enemies along the battlefield. She’s a ride or die kinda gal, literally, and she can and will kill others (or sacrifice herself) because she’ll give up anything to protect those she loves.

That being said, despite all the war she’s endured, she’s actually one of the more well adjusted characters in her world! And that’s including how many times she’s lived and died in previous cycles in her world (which she can’t remember, but her soul somehow does— a good thing too considering last cycle she deemed humanity sucks and ended the world). SO YEAH ANYWAYS. She’s caring and puts others first, is actively conversational, and loves a good pun and to tease others. Unfortunately suffers from Cough of Doom. Don’t worry, she’s Fine. It’s fine. Nothing suspicious there.

Currently working on her other profile sheet but right now I do have her generic one set up here: Bloop, which goes over more key information about her soul for anyone who can sense such things. An opt out will also be on this page, I just have to still set it up!

—Athletic. Fighter. Uses twin long daggers to attack. Does a lot of turns and flips while doing so. Bit of a glass canon, though!
—Magical. Favors lightening, fire, and healing.

About: Gale is a Wizard with a capital W, meaning magic is his entire life and his whole heart. He is a former prodigy who was found so talented that he drew the attention of Mystra, goddess of magic, and went on to become her Chosen as well as her lover, until he defied her in the name of his own ambition and their relationship came to a swift end. He continues to pay the price for his ambitions and tampering with forbidden magic, but even tired and worn down as he is, he is a pleasant personality who puts on a good face when possible and is thrilled to discuss a good book or chat about magic theory whenever he gets the chance. He's also accompanied by his assistant/familiar Tara, who is a tressym— basically a magical talking, flying cat. More information can be found at his app and the BG3 Wiki!

Abilities: Gale will regain access to his spell list with the tattoo, as well as some very limited psychic ability thanks to the 'present' he was given by the Mindflayers that took him captive at the start of his canon. While I don't have any set ideas about what new abilities I want him to develop, Gale himself will be intensely interested in exploring those possibilities as they reveal themselves, because he feels all knowledge is worth having and honestly, he won't be able to help himself.

General: He's brand new, so settling in and finding a niche for himself among the Paladins! Trying to make his living space his own, adapting to life as part of the armada, making new friends, pinning down the location of every single bookstore and curio shop.

CR Dreams: He's new, so anything goes! Gale is obviously big on magic and academics in general, but he is very passionately dedicated the idea that anyone who wants to learn magic should have the opportunity, so if your character is just trying it for the first time here or curious about it in general, he would be very happy to be a mentor of sorts. Or if you want the two-minute version: Karlach is a tiefling barbarian woman who got forcefully conscripted into a war in the Hells. It was a pretty bad time and she got experimented on, resulting in her heart getting replaced with an infernal machine. The machine runs INCREDIBLY HOT, meaning she's afflicted with a permanent status effect of being on fucking fire. It's also going to eventually run too hot and kill her, but let's not worry about that!

At least, she can be used to light campfires or roast things over.

Despite her experiences, Karlach is an excitable golden retriever sort of individual. Her heart is big and open and she's looking to make connections. Life's short and that's why you gotta live it!

Abilities: This might surprise you, but she is quite adept at fighting. Particularly with large weapons like great axes or great hammers or even other people if the need should arise. Sometimes you just gotta hit one guy with another guy.

She'll be getting a tattoo to keep her engine stable and from burning her up from inside. And an added bonus effect happens to be FIRE powers because hey, why not turn the direction of this into harnessing it?

General: There are sides in this world, so she wants to make sure that the Corsairs stay on the upper hand of things. Beyond that, Sombra wants to know what makes up the shellphone network, and how magic works in this world (you have to know how something works in order to manipulate or break it after all).

About: Jill is a woman who is starting to grow into her own person after spending thirteen years in captivity and being forced to become a warmachine for a less than savory nation. For the last five years, she's spent her newfound freedom joining up with one Cid and one Clive in their plan of changing the world for the better, especially for Dominants like her and the Bearers, people who can use magick without the need of a crystal.

She's empathetic and sympathetic to those who are in need, friendly and polite to people who are likewise to her, and has a desire to travel the world and experience the things that will be new to her. However, Jill can be stubborn and will drop the polite routine and become rude if someone dehumanizes her (she's had enough of that, thank you very much!) or towards people who she considers enemies. I'd be a fool if I didn't mention how close she is to Clive... like attached at the hip close. One will most likely find her near him, if not behind him, supporting him like the good potential wife friend she is. Her loyalty to him runs deep and gods forbid you talk bad about him in front of her.

Abilities: To begin with, Jill was enjoying the idea of a magickless life as she was already suffering from the petrification curse that all her world's magick users eventually get. Unfortunately, Dominants are not safe from that. Plus the idea of a tattoo kind of read too closely to how Bearers are marked to identify them.

However, a chance encounter with someone who should have been long dead made Jill realize she was at a true disadvantage without the tattoo, so that changed her mind real quick. Her mark is of a small snow daisy on her right wrist which will usually be covered by her glove or sleeve. Her ice spells will mostly consist of ice walls, icy rocks, freezing sea mist for stealth coverage, and ice spikes as defense.

She will be able to semi-prime with the tattoo and once she gets the required emotional trigger for full priming (transforming into Shiva completely), Jill will realize that her usual larger than life form is teeny weeny now because we've gotta have limitations in game.

Also, she has her rapier with her and Jill is quite skilled in using it.

General: FRIENDS. Like I am desperate for Jill to make friends outside of her little Final Fantasy 16 circle. She's friendly enough, if not a little socially inept due the whole being enslaved for thirteen years during her prime socializing ages, but for a Corsair, she's kind to Paladins as long as they are kind to her. Who cares about differences when there are good times to be had? Also looking for people she can develop into confidants so she doesn't have to keep resorting to the anonymous letter in a bottle system for life and relationship advice. 🤣
MANTA Board: She will be adopting Bluetooth, one of the warrior cats, and sharing pet custody of the furry queen with Clive, same as they share custody of Torgal. Perhaps a cat playdate? With a frost hound coming in for a curious sniff or two? HE'S VERY FRIENDLY AND LISTENS WELL, JILL SWEARS.

Anyway, being a pirate isn't such a bad distraction.

Abilities: His main skill is being a rogue and using slight of hand, which he doesn't need the tattoo for. But he's really interested in necromancy and he might get his tattoo this month so he can have his one cantrip back and so he can keep trying to read his Definitely Cursed Tome On Necromancy from Xenk's homeland.

General: Astarion is just vibing and he's happy to be here for now. He's more of a follower than a leader (because he's an npc party member, you see), so if he's generally willing to go along for shenanigans although depending on what it is he's likely to complain about it. He's got a very solid cr base, but I'm always down to looking for more and I'm also down to have help create a bridge if he knows someone you want your character to know.

Also this month he's getting THREE WHOLE people from home. He might be feeling a little more homesick than usual? No, definitely not. He's fine.
MANTA Board:

☆ Claws and companions: Astarion actually eats the rats everyone is presently killing, so he's going to be a little mad about this quest. I mean, he doesn't want to eat rats but there's not a lot of options when you're at sea. Luckily for Astarion he has a couple willing partners so he is adopting a cat and helping her learn the tricks of the trade.
☆ Thinking With Portals: This is a d&d item, so he's going to want to help! Also, you know another great fix for not having to eat rats on a boat? Simply never being on a boat in the first place. Work smarter not harder, y'all.
☆ Gallows Gambit: He's got a +13 to slight of hand and a mountain of trauma around being restrained of course I'm doing this quest.
☆ Hormone-Inducing Pollen Plants: You know why. The 200 dubloons, obviously.

I don't have as many specific thoughts on the event, but I am going to put up a log with MANTA Board and Event things. For the event:
★ Experiments on the Undead: Astarion isn't going to love that the paladins think that's an acceptable thing to do, so he's going to try and steal the pieces. Of course, he's also going to get aggressive over it so feel free to engage him but watch for his fangs! He bites!
★ Big Game Hunting: If anyone needs someone to help out with the hunting, Astarion can be persuaded to join. He might also drink from a boar or two, it is good for him.

CR Dreams: I'm just here to keep having fun, so anywhere people who like Astarion I'll likely be down (with the caveat that he might not be). I like to facilitate things however I can and I'm always down to bounce ideas! I've been a little slower the last couple weeks because of work (it comes in waves) but know that the spirit is willing even if the mind and body are not always.

Izuku’s stupidly long list of superhero abilities:

🥦 One For All: An inherited superpower from his hero icon All Might. This power is the mysterious ability to control his strength levels at immense percentage intervals. It is also a legendary quirk that has been passed down from several users before it. This makes it a very mysterious type of quirk as it cannot be stolen, stockpiles power and can call upon its past users for wisdom and strength.
🥦 (quirk) Black Whip: A quirk where Izuku can create long tendrils of black energy from his fists and use them like grappling tools or for binding.
🥦 (quirk) Float: This quirk grants Izuku the ability to float and fly.
🥦 (quirk) Danger Sense: This quirk gives Izuku the ability to sense when immediate danger is incoming. Much like Spiderman's "Spidey Sense".
🥦 (quirk) Smoke Screen: Izuku uses this quirk to create large thick fogs for creating a cover or blanketing an area.
🥦 (quirk) Fa Jin: This quirk allows Izuku to store energy and use it in short bursts to move faster or hit harder. It greatly enhances One For All's sheer power.
🥦 (quirk) Gearshift: Allows the user to change the speed at which things accelerate through space. It is even capable of changing speeds while ignoring the laws of inertia.

🍀 I don’t know what tattoo Izuku will have yet but I think it would be really funny if it was a little tattoo of a bowl of katsudon or an actual piece of broccoli because he couldn’t think of anything to put on his skin. Tattoos are bad!! But he’ll probably use the tattoo to learn some thunder magic on top of his normal abilities.

🍀 Izuku can also bench press 1700 pounds and he’s small, take that as what you will.

🍀 Leap of Faith Izuku has the ability to float so he could either float himself down or catch a corsair as they’re falling. Let him show you some sick moves.
🍀 Testing Substitute Dolls and Untitled Goose Bounty Team up with Izuku to fight some crazy reappearing geese and throw dolls at them.

🍀 Fire Spirits Izuku would think these are pretty cute and also a chance to just gather his thoughts would the campfire would be beneficial.
🍀 Energy Drain While Izuku was only here for the last part of the ghost ship appearance he would like to help research and experiment on the fragments found. Izuku will get caught getting his energy drained because of it.

About: Faris was born the eldest daughter of THE MOST ALTRUISTIC royal family that has probably ever existed, got lost at sea aged 5, and then was raised to be a pirate and also a man because Women Aren't Pirates in FFV-land. Faris really enjoyed being a pirate until his long-lost little sister showed up and asked for a ride to go save some crystals. Faris still loves being a pirate but now has a bunch of complicated feelings, which is deeply unfortunate because he was not raised to know how to properly deal with any emotions that are not directly related to being a pirate.

Also, I play Faris as genderfluid, so while usually Faris feels like a man, sometimes he doesn't, and the pronouns I use for him in narration reflect that.


Abilities: Faris is from a "save the world by DRESSING UP" final fantasy game, and in the interests of not being broken, I've set her as having "mastered" 3 jobs:
1. Thief: Largely ability / sleight-of-hand based, able to find secret passages and steal shit
2. Dragoon: Jump VERY HIGH and land VERY HARD with a pointy stick
3. Cannoneer: summon a tiny cannon from hammerspace and fire it. also fight with a s'word and look so good, wow.

General: One thing that Faris still has to untangle post-game in Final Fantasy V is how she feels about being a princess from a family that will fall on any sword anywhere to help others especially dragons while she herself was raised to be a rough-and-tumble selfish buccaneer. She really enjoys being a buccaneer. So. THAT'S JUST AN ONGOING KIND OF STRUGGLE.

Shorter-term, I'm considering having Faris get a ship of his own because he's used to being a captain (and the only thing that's holding me back is that I Am Not A Fast Tagger but hey maybe it can be a ship for the slow people!! lmao.) Also, Faris has tamed a seahorse and also has a catte named Flameheart now. I will be posting an open log sometime this month about those things & maybe a couple more prompts!
MANTA Board: Faris would be open to doing the Coins of the Crescent, Spellbound Circuitry, and Leap of Faith. Faris does not want to pursue bounties on wild beasts (unless they are specifically dangerous to humans or other wild beasts).
Event: Right now I am probably going to stick to tagging out, but HMU if you want Faris specifically!

CR Dreams: Open to friendly and antagonistic CR both! Faris doesn't mind being a rude little bastard and getting into fights and she enjoys hanging out with other pirates. She has a soft spot for animals, kids, old geezers, altruists, and goofballs (aka the people who make up FFV's party). So if you can get past a moderate amount of grumpiness, you'll have a pretty good ally by your side.

Faris is also dtf (down to fight things) basically all the time, so if you want to engage in a random encounter/fighty-type situation, Faris is good for that.

About: Toge is a relatively cheerful, but quiet guy. He carries the technique of cursed speech and that means he can't hold a regular conversation. Toge communicates in a series of safe words that happen to be rice ball ingredients. The nuances of this language can definitely be picked up, considering his vocabulary is about ten words. His shellphone has text-to-speech for accessibility so he manages.

He enjoys cooking and gardening as well as playing pranks. Most people might remember him as the fishy ghost shaking them down for candy. He's not sorry. He got candy out of it!

His birthday was in October so he's now 17.

Abilities: As mentioned and most obvious, he has the power of cursed speech. Toge can, through his words and voice, influence the actions of others. His curse is constantly active, he cannot turn it off and that's why he wears a mask to muffle even his safe words, lest he still influence people to his own moods and desires. He's very very aware of this and does his best to mitigate it.

He has a tattoo of a snake wound around a katana. Don't read into that too much. It provides him with ice magic. So far he's managed to charm his bag to remain chilled for transporting food.

PLANS

General: Toge lived his dreams last month getting to torment everyone he met as a really badly dressed ghost and he profited handsomely. Thank you all for the candy, he enjoyed every bite :D

He doesn't have any specific plans beyond that. This is a new month with new challenges.

MANTA Board: Toge will be co-parenting one of the warrior cats! They are adopting Thornprick because the name amused both him and Yuta. (Toge means 'thorn', and so it seemed like fate.)

He's interested in checking out the portals, and helping with the potions. He wants to get his hands on the dragon book. For reasons. He's definitely willing to go on an expedition for healing coins - and he could potentially land himself in the gallows, or save someone!

He's willing to go after both bounties if anyone is interested in experimenting with the sex pollen with him, or goose killing. He's good in a fight. I won't be top leveling with him this month - so if you want him specifically please let me know.

Event: I'll be tagging around with as many people as I can handle. I look forward to menacing them with Toge again.

CR Dreams: Toge could use people in his life that care about him. He has Yuta (and at home his other classmates) but outside of that his life has been lacking in people who are remotely sympathetic to him. He'd love sparring partners if anyone's into that, and he'd love to do some cooking with a friend!

About: For those who aren't familiar with this latest version of Final Fantasy's "Cid," he's one of the older characters who leads a group of outlaws working to change the world's current system in treating magic users, making a name for himself as an outlaw in doing so. The Dominant of Ramuh, he's capable of using and turning into the Eikon Ramuh himself. Goodnatured, friendly, classic rogue, with enough wit and Dad jokes to help lighten any heavy situation. With his experience and endless worldly wisdom, he's the perfect mentor for any young lad who is going through a self-identity crisis and angst. Oh that's just Clive—but he can be a mentor or father figure for anyone who needs it, too. He is also a brilliant inventor and bit of an engineer. There will definitely be spoilers since he'll be after a certain canon point. I usually try not to reference canon events with non-castmates, but I'll be sure to mark them just in case. Between castmates, well, read those threads at your own risk— Spoilers, spoilers everywhere. For more info, he has a profile sheet here.

Abilities: Pretty much all things lightning for this old man. He'll have his canon movesets as well as me being a bit creative because well we only see a limited set and the tattoo will allow him some more creativity. He can semi-prime and turn all purple to have access to even stronger attacks, and then he can prime into the Eikon Ramuh himself. But due to nerfing, when he primes into Ramuh he'll be very tiny at first until gains more power and all that. Even that will require an emotional trigger so IT'LL BE A WHILE MAYBE.

BONUS SUMMON OPTION: If there are ever any characters who can summon Ramuh, especially in other Final Fantasy casts, you can have Cid appear instead. 8D So far it's just Yuffie. He's not happy—

General: Lord he's doing too much in this game stop him— GENERAL THINGS: he's got a ship he plans to steal and is aiming to start working on a crew (which I need to write an ad for soon wheeze). Aside from having more independence to move around, he'll be aiming to find that artifact that controls the rifts because he kind of likes this place and would like to stay in it with his wife. And idk if some group is being oppressed he'll meddle with that, too— I'm also working on him setting up a workshop so he can start tinkering and inventing things again, so that'll be fun.
