CR WORKSHIP: NOVEMBER 2023

Our CR Meme CR Workship is where players can drop all the cool info for their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. Be sure to look over the MANTA Board as well as current events if you'd like to include them in your post.

We also include a designated toplevel for Crew Recruitment where players can make OOC ad posts for others to either join or request to join or make a crew. This is all for OOC coordination, so you'll have to figure out how it works ICly.

If you have multiple characters, make an individual toplevel for yourself with your player info and comment to it with each character separately.

About: Faris was born the eldest daughter of THE MOST ALTRUISTIC royal family that has probably ever existed, got lost at sea aged 5, and then was raised to be a pirate and also a man because Women Aren't Pirates in FFV-land. Faris really enjoyed being a pirate until his long-lost little sister showed up and asked for a ride to go save some crystals. Faris still loves being a pirate but now has a bunch of complicated feelings, which is deeply unfortunate because he was not raised to know how to properly deal with any emotions that are not directly related to being a pirate.

Also, I play Faris as genderfluid, so while usually Faris feels like a man, sometimes he doesn't, and the pronouns I use for him in narration reflect that.


Abilities: Faris is from a "save the world by DRESSING UP" final fantasy game, and in the interests of not being broken, I've set her as having "mastered" 3 jobs:
1. Thief: Largely ability / sleight-of-hand based, able to find secret passages and steal shit
2. Dragoon: Jump VERY HIGH and land VERY HARD with a pointy stick
3. Cannoneer: summon a tiny cannon from hammerspace and fire it. also fight with a s'word and look so good, wow.

PLANS

General: One thing that Faris still has to untangle post-game in Final Fantasy V is how she feels about being a princess from a family that will fall on any sword anywhere to help others especially dragons while she herself was raised to be a rough-and-tumble selfish buccaneer. She really enjoys being a buccaneer. So. THAT'S JUST AN ONGOING KIND OF STRUGGLE.

Shorter-term, I'm considering having Faris get a ship of his own because he's used to being a captain (and the only thing that's holding me back is that I Am Not A Fast Tagger but hey maybe it can be a ship for the slow people!! lmao.) Also, Faris has tamed a seahorse and also has a catte named Flameheart now. I will be posting an open log sometime this month about those things & maybe a couple more prompts!
MANTA Board: Faris would be open to doing the Coins of the Crescent, Spellbound Circuitry, and Leap of Faith. Faris does not want to pursue bounties on wild beasts (unless they are specifically dangerous to humans or other wild beasts).
Event: Right now I am probably going to stick to tagging out, but HMU if you want Faris specifically!

CR Dreams: Open to friendly and antagonistic CR both! Faris doesn't mind being a rude little bastard and getting into fights and she enjoys hanging out with other pirates. She has a soft spot for animals, kids, old geezers, altruists, and goofballs (aka the people who make up FFV's party). So if you can get past a moderate amount of grumpiness, you'll have a pretty good ally by your side.

Faris is also dtf (down to fight things) basically all the time, so if you want to engage in a random encounter/fighty-type situation, Faris is good for that.
