Our CR Meme CR Workship is where players can drop all the cool info for their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. Be sure to look over the MANTA Board as well as current events if you'd like to include them in your post.
We also include a designated toplevel for Crew Recruitment where players can make OOC ad posts for others to either join or request to join or make a crew. This is all for OOC coordination, so you'll have to figure out how it works ICly.

The Raiders of the Lost Arts are dedicated to finding, researching, and potentially utilizing whatever they can find. Pitch: Now that we have a decent research team and a newly minted Magical Research Workshop on the ship, we're really only asking that characters looking to join either have a Ring of Returning or (in the case of new characters) are planning to get one within the first month or two of joining. The ship will be making longer voyages away from the Big Three Leviathans for the purposes of exploration and conducting research. So, if you want to do both crew activities and game events, you'll need a lvl 1 to return to a Leviathan port - getting back to the Phantom Moon will require a higher level Ring or a ride with someone on crew with a higher level ring.
We're also the Pokemon crew (thanks to Turo). And our warrior cat clan (6 cats!) is the Phantom Moon Clan.

About: Currently the Hideaway's purpose is a bit "loose," taking more of a independent, free to do what you want direction. Taking the odd jobs, helping others, and just living a more "free adventure life" of the Corsairs, even acting something like "Robin Hood" with their actions. However, although the Hideaway is on the "nicer" side of the Corsair group, they still behave and act more like outlaws, willing to bend and break the rules if needed.
Pitch: Cid is also interested in looking into finding the relic responsible for the rifts, so if there's anyone who wants to potentially stay in Escordvi longterm, this is the group for you! If you just want to have fun and have six powerful Dominants behind your back, also the group for you! We're pretty loose
with me behind the wheeland Cid himself tends to look at people for their talents (especially tech savvy!) and need for a place. So yeah a fun, comfy "found family" type of group. Cid is also running a "magitech" type business so, those interested in inventing and engineering are very welcome!Even though they are Corsair affiliated, Paladins are welcome! Crew Activity: The Raiders of the Lost Arts
The Raiders of the Lost Arts will be leaving the waters of Avaleci when the Leviathan Trio shuffle away mid-month and will be traveling to explore in their first long-term voyage. They will be looking for an island that looks mostly untouched, isn't on the maps of islands with known settlements, and has a decent amount of vegetation. Once found, they will be exploring it for a few weeks to give researchers time to discover potentially new wildlife, artifacts or ruins, and test various inventions at a relatively safe location away from a large population. Crew members are asked to have a Ring of Returning so they can come and go from the ship to at least one of the Leviathans as needed, so this will not interfere with anyone being able to do activities elsewhere.

About: Clive is like... a pineapple- it looks very unapproachable on the outside, but super sweet on the inside! You just have to get past the fact that he looks like he hasn't showered in years (he's working on it, okay).
Abilities: Clive has a LOT of canon abilities in the form of sucking up other people's powers and using a portion of it against them. Here, though, is mainly focused on his fire powers from Ifrit. He's been using the tattoo to increase those powers, all while trying not to overdo it.

About: Roxas is the Nobody of series protagonist Sora. Or former Nobody, it gets a bit weird. Regardless, he's recently gained a body of his own and was all set to start living his life properly as a normal kid and ended up here instead. He's a little less than thrilled at having his plans messed with but you do what you gotta, even if that means dealing with seasickness and the big scary ocean.
Roxas himself is a pretty easy going kid. He's very much a teenager and doesn't trust super easily. He's fairly cautious, unless you manage to rile his temper up. But it's also pretty easy to break through that veneer and reveal the good kid underneath.

About: Rem is a young, friendly woman who grew up in a world in which all as “blessed” to forget the dead. She’s a child soldier, sees nothing wrong with this, and actively reaps souls (in her canon, called “phantoma”) when finished with enemies along the battlefield. She’s a ride-or-die kinda friend, literally, and she can and will kill others (or sacrifice herself) because she’ll give up anything to protect those she loves. That being said, despite all that she’s endured, she’s actually one of the more well-adjusted characters in her world! And that’s including how many times she’s lived and died in previous cycles in her world (which she can’t remember, but her soul somehow does— a good thing too considering last cycle she deemed humanity sucks and ended the world). SO YEAH ANYWAYS. She’s caring and puts others first, is actively conversational, and loves a good pun and to tease others. She's got some mysterious illness too but Don’t worry, she’s Fine. About: Rin was originally a street urchin that was found by Davil and Castien. They raised her in an underground organization called 'Crimson', which is basically an organization that provides drugs and illegal weapons to nobility and street urchins. Of course they do more than that, and Rin is involved with the assassination branch of the organization. She's a trained weapon, needless to say, but despite her upbringing, her Dads made sure that she grew up cheerful and friendly.
During the war, she's utilized as an assassin to kill off Demetria Xydis' officers. She takes on several missions through this time, and basically, at the end, makes a talisman with the help of many others within the organization to seal away Demetria when she's weak. She's basically one of the original war heroes but she doesn't enjoy that title too much.
As for her personality, Rin is actually very friendly. She can be a bit annoying due to her friendly and trusting nature, but she likes making people feel like they have a friend. She's a good person, somewhat, but her work makes her seem like she's not. WHICH. SHE'S NOT CLAIMING SHE IS, she is just very happy and friendly because she knows if she's not anything else, all the things she's done might actually weigh down on her and she doesn't want that.
Friendly note as well: she's a seamstress. Come to her for customized clothing!
Abilities:
Katana proficiency/swordplay: Rin has been a skilled swordsman for nearly all of her life. She moves fast with her sword, and is able to perform acrobatic skills with her sword. At present, her sword looks like this.
Fire magic: Can embed fire magic into her sword, and can, quite surprisingly, summon a mini phoenix to burn her enemies. Although, her control with fire is not good, she still manages to possess an affinity for it when she's calm and collected. She usually does not use this magic, as it causes her to be exhausted, but she is able to ignite her hand into flames to act as a source of light.
Please note: Her phoenix is unavailable in Escordvi
Electricity magic: Rin's specialty. With her electricity magic, she can create lightning cages to seal her enemies. She can also invoke electricity into her katana; creating lightning slashes that vaporize enemies.

About: Ranma Saotome is a sarcastic but friendly young teen who, before he could even fully walk, was training in martial arts and hiking around the world with no one by his side besides his father. Said father was a greedy idiot who did things to screw with Ranma's life like secretly engaging him to other men's daughters for stuff like food, threw him in a cat pit to purposely traumatize him of cats, and got himself and his son cursed after a training accident in China. Said curse causes Ranma to turn into a girl with cold water, and back to normal with hot water. From there, Ranma was pulled into a whole cesspool of magical curses, inane martial arts techniques, rivals that want his head, and just pure hijinks. Hence he's not too phased by both the oddity of situations around him, nor is he by people wanting to inflict violence on him.
Despite all this, he's well-adjusted all things considered. Sure, he's a bit blunt, sarcastic, petty, doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut nor how to not say anything that'd upset people, gets extremely argumentative with people that annoy or threaten him, prideful and emotionally stunted in not knowing how to openly express himself. But besides all those negatives, Ranma deep down is a laidback, friendly and helpful kid who wouldn't think twice about rushing in to help someone, even if that someone's wronged him in the past. He also really, really loves martial arts and fighting, and will gush about it with anyone who will listen. Permissions/opt-out post here!

About: Zack is a former soldier turn runaway who has been through a lot of shit and really needs to find a break in his life. Canon: Baldur's Gate 3: After his untimely demise at the hands of Tav and the rest of their party.

About: Ketheric Thorm; A former worshiper of Selûne like his forefathers before him for countless generations lived out his days in his ancestral home of Moonrise Towers. Fighting in many great wars in servitude to the Gods he was once a practical man who loved his family more than anything. His beloved wife Melodia was taken from him at a young age causing him immense grief but it was not until the untimely demise of his daughter who challenged him the man began his fall into a darker path. Basking in sorrow and misery the general turned to Lady of Loss herself; The Goddess Shar who took him under her wing and became her “Chosen”. He and his devoted followers began an all out assault on the lands surrounding Moonrise Towers only finally being stopped by an alliance of Harper's and druids of the Emerald Grove. Years after his own departure from the world of the living the God of Bones, Myrkul came to him with a tempting promise; To restore him to the lands of Toril along with his beloved daughter whom he cherished more than anything.
Ketheric was known to be an honorable man in his past life before his servitude to Myrkul, becoming a mere shell of his former self now wallowing in despair and anguish. Wholly devoted to achieving that which he’d lost and desired more than anything, the return of his darling wife and daughter at his side. This obsessive behavior caused him to betray his old ways enacting vile atrocities to any and all who would dare oppose him.

Abilities: Before his demise at the hands of the rogue 'True Soul' and their band of miscreants Ketheric Thorm had been blessed with invulnerability magics thanks in part to the celestial being Dame Aylin, his daughter's beloved counterpart, draining her own life force with necromantic magic to sustain himself from any physical harm. However; Since I am taking him from post death he will no longer have such powers and be subject to mortality like any other normal human or half-elf in his case though still retaining his abilities as a Paladin with necromantic ties to the Lord of Bones, Myrkul. Having broken his oath time and again the General is what they call an 'Oathbreaker' with ties to magics of necromancy and darkness in servitude to an evil being.
As for his inventory the items on his person would only be his intricately designed plate armor handcrafted by Myrkul himself aptly named "The Reaper's Embrace" which is adorned with depictions of the God of Bones. It holds the ability to use 'Howl of the Dead' which inflicts numbness to any creature within a 10ft radius. (Numbed enemies affect the entity's movement speed by half, the spellcaster will also have Advantage on Attack Rolls against the affected entity.) As well as 'Reaper's Rigidity' (When activated, you can't be moved against your will by any spell or action, but have Disadvantage on Dexterity Saving Throws.)

On top of this the former Chosen of Myrkul still has aspirations of being reunited with his long lost wife and beloved daughter Isobel if it were possible here in Escordvi. Looking for ancient magics with potentially dangerous or even lethal consequences the man is still hellbent on returning his precious family to his side.

On top of the prompts I've provided I would LOVE for Ketheric to pursue the Corsair MANTA Board quest (THE PRICE OF FREEDOM) of retrieving this lady and her fabrics for the rich Corsair and be handsomely rewarded for his efforts. For he doesn't have the greatest moral compass and such a boon would go nicely towards acquiring a ship and creating a beginning of a little nest egg. Either with an allied Corsair at his side OR being stopped at the hands of an enemy Paladin who is protecting the lady in question are both viable options that would be so much fun!

About: Tifa is the "Mom Friend" if there ever was one. She is a kind, empathetic, patient, protective soul who is always looking out for others. Sociable and friendly as she can be, she's much more reserved than she appears—she never wears her heart on her sleeve and keeps her emotions close, and prefers to talk about anything but herself. But don't let her shy, timid exterior fool you. She is a savvy business woman who ran a bar and can kick a lot of ass, too.
Internally, Tifa is carries a lot of grief and anger, and has had plenty losses in life, is incredibly self-critical, and it's because of this that she is always pushing herself to do better. She'll always try to think things through first and put on a smile for others, but deep down beneath all of that is a woman still struggling from her past. In spite of her anger and her past, she is still always trying to do the right thing and to help anyone in need, and treat everyone with kindness, regardless of who they are or where they come from.
Abilities: Tifa is fully trained and skilled in hand-to-hand combat (think Final Fantasy Monk) her main weapon being her gloves (ranging from knuckles to claws). Tifa utilizes the use of materia to perform magic. Depending on what materia she has equipped, she is able to use various types of magic: elemental, healing, buffing, debuffing, and protective. There are also special summoning materias that can call the different summons to fight alongside her. She has Ifrit equipped on her at the moment. As for her tattoo, she'll be specializing in fire magic as that's the materia she came equipped with upon crash-landing in Escordvi! I might have her switch her tattoo to water in the near future, though, and keep the fire materia.

Event: Some things that caught my eye for her (which is literally everything but you know). I'm planning to top level with her, but here's a few ideas of what to expect/what I'm open to! I'll be including some MANTA stuff too.
CR Dreams: Anything and everything! Tifa is very easy to get along with, so really, I'd love all kinds of CR. What I can offer in return is a mom/big sis figure, a kind/patient/loving/understanding friend, a kickass martial artist, a great cook/bartender, and just an all-around good person. Mainly, I just really want her to make more friends here.

About: The brown-haired guy from the cover of every game box. A basically good person, give or take a bitter streak he's starting to grow past and this one time he ended the world.
He's been a spooky ghost living in total isolation for the last century, which he's currently pretty sure has had no long-term traumatic effects on accounta he's better now and that means it's fine.
To someone who isn't aware of what his deal is he'll probably come off as pleasant enough, a little quiet, with a (charming/irritating) habit of rescuing cats from trees. He gets along better with animals than with people, but he's socially aware enough to just about keep up a conversation and seems pretty eager to try.
Abilities: He's really, really good at taking a beating and not dying. Right now that's the whole sum of what he has going for him. He might be seeking out a weapon (ideally an axe) in the near future.
PLANS
- He would like to dive headfirst into that whole 'doing living person things' thing. It's been a while and he wants to try all of it before the novelty wears off.
- He wasn't going to go looking for a weapon initially, but that's going to last as long as it takes for him to become ICy aware of that price of freedom quest. There's people who need axes to happen to them.
MANTA Board: Dreams Submerged - Someone has to be the person in the room who suggests cutting off the marked hand or burning the mark off the skin. He's not going to do either of those things to anyone without consent, but he's sure as hell willing to suggest them as an alternative to dying (and might need to be prevented from experimenting on himself, if he ends up marked). He'll be doing what he can to help find a non-maiming solution, otherwise.

Dragon Heated - The bulk of my comments on these quests can be summed up as 'Ardbert is disconcertingly willing to experiment on his own body', and this is no exception. Probably not looking for any nsfw stuff unless things go that way, but always up for 'incredibly awkwardly horny man has no idea what to do about this situation'.
If he makes friends he'll do a dramatic reading of the dragon porn for them.
Beta Testing - See above, except instead of being disconcertingly willing to take random medicines he's instead disconcertingly willing to have weapons tested on him. He's a tank and they're all nonlethal, this is probably fine.
She Sews Lovely - As is, from the Paladin side of things, he'll be getting involved as an escort. If he gets information from the Corsair side about the man trying to capture the seamstress, he'll be getting involved as a guy who wants to attack that guy with an axe.
Dost Thou Even Heft - He's strong, but not supernaturally so. He'll put on a respectable showing for a normal guy, but probably not anything close to the best.

CR Dreams: I AM NEW, SO EVERYTHING.
In terms of what Ardbert can offer, he's your standard fantasy dude. A farm boy who wandered off on an adventure. There's more to him but right now he's determinedly pretending that there isn't, so unless something happens he's not going to be getting into the more tragic parts of his own canon - he doesn't mind sharing that he's a spooky ghost and wasn't a fan of being in that state, but he's going to be cagey about the circumstances surrounding it.

About: For those who aren't familiar with this latest version of Final Fantasy's "Cid," he's one of the older characters who leads a group of outlaws working to change the world's current system in treating magic users, making a name for himself as an outlaw in doing so. The Dominant of Ramuh, he's capable of using and turning into the Eikon Ramuh himself. Goodnatured, friendly, classic rogue, with enough wit and Dad jokes to help lighten any heavy situation. With his experience and endless worldly wisdom, he's the perfect mentor for any young lad who is going through a self-identity crisis and angst. Oh that's just Clive—but he can be a mentor or father figure for anyone who needs it, too. He is also a brilliant inventor and bit of an engineer. There will definitely be spoilers since he'll be after a certain canon point. I usually try not to reference canon events with non-castmates, but I'll be sure to mark them just in case. Between castmates, well, read those threads at your own risk— Spoilers, spoilers everywhere. For more info, he has a profile sheet here.
Abilities: Pretty much all things lightning for this old man. He'll have his canon movesets as well as me being a bit creative because well we only see a limited set and the tattoo will allow him some more creativity. He can semi-prime and turn all purple to have access to even stronger attacks, and then he can prime into the Eikon Ramuh himself. But due to nerfing, when he primes into Ramuh he'll be very tiny at first until he gains more power and control and all that. Even that will require an emotional trigger so IT'LL BE A WHILE. He'd only use this an absolute last resort regardless.
BONUS SUMMON OPTION: If there are ever any characters who can summon Ramuh, especially in other Final Fantasy casts, you can have Cid appear instead. So far it's just Yuffie.

About: Faris was born as the princess in possibly the most stupidly altrustic royal family that ever was, got lost at sea age 5, was raised by pirates, forgot about being a princess and reunited with long-lost sister Lenna "I will eat any poison to save a dragon" Tycoon when they were both adults (plus Bartz and Galuf). Also they got chosen by the crystal to save the other crystals, which they failed at way too many times to count but somehow they saved the world anyway!!
Faris still does not know how to deal with the fact that he loves being a pirate and everyone else in his family will fall on swords at the absolute slightest hint that it will help someone else (especially if that someone is a dragon). He's always up for a good swashbuckle, tends to take a direct route through problems, and
Recently Rem asked Faris what his preferred pronouns were and this is very quietly throwing him for a total loop because he's never lived in a place where you don't actually have to fight with someone about using the ones he thinks should be used and that there is not even an objectively correct answer. (As for what those pronouns are, Faris still habitually presents himself as a man and looks that way to most people, but will switch around pronouns in internal monologue situationally. Gender: It's Complicated™)
Abilities: FFV is a "save the world with the power of dressup" game and Faris has access to the abilites of a Thief, a Dragoon (jump high skewer enemy) and a Cannoneer (summon tiny cannon from hammerspace for FUN PYROTECHNIC EFFECTS). Eventually I would like to give her back the ability to summon her late dragon bestie Syldra.

Hopefully none of them contain a superboss that will start a side-franchise of fighting oriented gamesEvent: I will be writing a toplevel for the event! Faris won't be taking a dip in the hot springs but he WILL be very interested in the dragons and their eggs, and he'll also be fighting off the ice giants for the tortoises. He'll also be exploring the volcano (just another Tuesday for an FF character) and take great interest in the fiery horse's altar.
CR Dreams: So FULL DISCLOSURE, fall 2023 was the semester where I was googling 'how do I know if I have burnout'* so I have not gotten Faris past surface-level interactions with anyone yet, which is already difficult because 'difficult' is a good way to describe Faris' personality. Consequently my main goals right now are to deepen the connections Faris already has and make new ones! Faris is kind of crusty and hates using real words for feelings, but because of the nature of FFV's player party (aka: quirky weirdoes) she can actually get along with a surprising variety of people. Or get into stupid arguments with them while secretly caring about them.
Faris is really good for action-oriented things like fighting monsters and also has an affinity for things involving animals--she doesn't like taking bounties on animals unless it's an imminent threat like the Untitled Goose (so no "harvest sea creatures for commercial puposes" quests). But she has a seahorse and a warrior cat, and if there's a benign reason to interact with critters you can usually find her there.

About: Toge is a sweet, quiet guy who speaks in rice ball ingredients due to the power of cursed speech. He's pretty incomprehensible at first, but he does his best to try and get his point across and converse with people. He is, however, very soft spoken due to his technique. He's compassionate, enjoys cooking and gardening and is enjoying his time as a bounty hunting pirate. He's more interested in the freedom that comes with being a Corsair than anything else.
He wants to find buried treasure, it's on his bucket list.
In this particular situation, where he's free to connect to people, he's pretty outgoing.
Abilities: Toge has the power of cursed speech. The ability is tied to his voice and is marked by the sigils on his cheeks and tongue. It means that using his voice compels and forces those around him to submit to his will. He's is very very careful about making noise so he doesn't curse those around him.
From the tattoo he was gifted with ice powers. He has figured out himself how to make ice-shaped like snowflakes which is great for preserving food! He's recently paid for a boost to this and he'll be getting some tips on the down low from Shoto Todoroki.

MANTA Board: The Wolf Among Us (PLEASE HELP HIM!!), Beta Testing, Mimics, The Price Of Freedom (He's intending on going for the owner in this one, sorry he has Feelings about this. Event: I am definitely top leveling. There is going to be some hot spring fun as well as skating. He'd like to learn to skate. How hard can it be?
CR Dreams: Toge still thinks everyone seems friend shaped and he's just out here vibing. He would love the chance to get close to people, he hasn't actually talked too much about his life outside of explaining what he can do and that's not all he is.

About: Short of the actual gods, Emet-Selch is one of the most powerful adversaries the Warrior of Light faces in FF14. To the average mortal/human, he WOULD be considered one - however, he considers himself a regular man and he lives and dies the same way (even if said life is practically indefinite). Amongst his own people, he was known as a powerful and competent mage with particularly sharp Soulsight: the ability to perceive things at the aetherial level.
As an individual, he's rather solitary and standoffish and doesn't make friends easily. But he cares more than he lets on.
Abilities: As Emet-Selch doesn't have access to Creation magicks here in Escordvi, he's simply just a powerful mage. This ranges from the typical elemental spells to healing spells to more esoteric things like aether-imbued weapon arts. He can also transform into a

YES! That is correct she is THE Enterprise. The hero ship of the Pacific! A semi-serious woman who tends to go all out and generally tries to do things on her own first. That said, she is kind of an awkward dork, and has a medal collection back home!
Abilities:
Water walking – As the spirit of a ship she can float/walk on top of water and move about with a great amount of speed and maneuverability.
Aircraft Summon - As the spirit of an aircraft carrier she can launch aircraft from her bow or deck. In game they typically act as arrows and have been depicted as bolts of light in the anime.
Light/Energy Manipulation - She’s able to create arrows and bolts of light, and manipulate them to form arrows, bombs, or aircraft.
Strength and Stamina – Superhuman strength and stamina. Able to draw her huge compound bow with little effort and launch aircraft into the sky with just as little effort. While her stamina reflects her being the personification of an aircraft carrier. She can operate and move for long periods of time without rest. That said, she still is susceptible to human needs, such as regular rest, food, and water, and so on.
Iron Gut - Canon-wise the girls drink coolant and oil, among other things. Shipgirls go brrrrrr….
Lucky E - Her ultimate, it strengthens both herself and her allies and grants an invincibility buff. It’s a manifestation of the ship's titular, supernatural luck. Attacks may simply miss her, or fail entirely, while her own might be capable of making lucky, decisive hits.
