CR WORKSHIP: JANUARY 2024

Our ~~CR Meme~~ CR Workship is where players can drop all the cool info for their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. Be sure to look over the MANTA Board as well as current events if you'd like to include them in your post.

We also include a designated toplevel for Crew Recruitment where players can make OOC ad posts for others to either join or request to join or make a crew. This is all for OOC coordination, so you'll have to figure out how it works ICly.

If you have multiple characters, make an individual toplevel for yourself with your player info and comment to it with each character separately.

PLANS

General: He's slowly getting his emotional roots regrown so he's getting more hot and cold emotionally and also starting to show his emotions more often and indulge in them without immediately pulling back to try and cover them. He likes feeling, but not all the time. It's been a lot of fun! Also, I'm determined to traumatize him by giving him a fear of drowning. This month's MANTA quests are perfect.
MANTA Board:

Dreams Submerged in Drowning Shadows Daqiang is gonna enter someone's dream/nightmare to see if he can find clues to the source of the curse and get cursed himself and he's gonna have a bad time(tm). I need someone for him to enter the dream of and/or people to shove potential cures/medicinal aids at him to try to help stave off the symptoms

The Wolf Among Us He is perfectly able to train a wolf pup or three. He doesn't even need the collar. But, you know, someone should insist he puts it on anyway just to make the jerk have to wear a dog collar. Not a priority quest, but would be fun!

Frost-Kissed Blossoms There is a convenient snow covered mountain in the monthly log so Daqiang will be walking up there for some flowers. But not to give away. He's uh... starting a garden... but not consciously. He's just kind of thinking that the single orchid he has growing in a pop would probably be happier with some other flowers around. So he'll be up to helping protect others so long as he can transplant a few plants into pots for his cabin.

Dragon-Heated Look. He got the first book and now he needs to know what happens in the sequel. That's all there is to it. He doesn't want to be the one to test the concoction, but he'll be willing to record the results of the testing if it means he gets a free copy of the... wait, what's 'fanfiction'?

Beta Testers: Magitech He's testing the Electric-Type Grenades.

Event: Tagging out to others. If you want to encounter Daqiang, just poke me.
I wanna do Lava Field Exploration and related events because Daqiang is all about fire. He will also be looking to collect an Ice Crystal because he will be getting those snow flowers and wants to ensure that they remain cold enough to stay alive once transplanted

CR Dreams: Anything and everything. No. Really. I love throwing Daqiang at stuff and seeing what comes out of it.

Crew Activity: The Raiders of the Lost Arts
The Raiders of the Lost Arts will be leaving the waters of Avaleci when the Leviathan Trio shuffle away mid-month and will be traveling to explore in their first long-term voyage. They will be looking for an island that looks mostly untouched, isn't on the maps of islands with known settlements, and has a decent amount of vegetation. Once found, they will be exploring it for a few weeks to give researchers time to discover potentially new wildlife, artifacts or ruins, and test various inventions at a relatively safe location away from a large population. Crew members are asked to have a Ring of Returning so they can come and go from the ship to at least one of the Leviathans as needed, so this will not interfere with anyone being able to do activities elsewhere.

About: Clive is like... a pineapple- it looks very unapproachable on the outside, but super sweet on the inside! You just have to get past the fact that he looks like he hasn't showered in years (he's working on it, okay).

Abilities: Clive has a LOT of canon abilities in the form of sucking up other people's powers and using a portion of it against them. Here, though, is mainly focused on his fire powers from Ifrit. He's been using the tattoo to increase those powers, all while trying not to overdo it.

PLANS

General: More CR, for sure! I plan to tag around a lot so that Clive can meet more people, since he's a little rough around the edges at first. It's the trauma.
MANTA Board: WOLF PUPPIES WOLF PUPPIES FOR SURE he's already got one, so training them should be easy... right? Also Clive really wants to get ahold of as many of those frost-kiss flowers as possible, so certainly doing that! ... And... yeah, he'll help Cid out with his testing, too. :T
Event: I am planning a toplevel and tagging out, too! Mostly with the stargazing and traversing through the volcano. He's been in one before, so it should be fine... right?

CR Dreams: Any CR is welcomed, to be honest! I'd love for Clive to have a friendly rival or new drinking buddy, or someone he can mother hen in his own way. He's a big softy and good bodyguard, and pretty good company, too!

About: Roxas is the Nobody of series protagonist Sora. Or former Nobody, it gets a bit weird. Regardless, he's recently gained a body of his own and was all set to start living his life properly as a normal kid and ended up here instead. He's a little less than thrilled at having his plans messed with but you do what you gotta, even if that means dealing with seasickness and the big scary ocean.

Roxas himself is a pretty easy going kid. He's very much a teenager and doesn't trust super easily. He's fairly cautious, unless you manage to rile his temper up. But it's also pretty easy to break through that veneer and reveal the good kid underneath.

Abilities:
-Can wield two Keyblades (20x attack modifier baby!)
-General Combat magic and healing
-Hasn't really thought about his tattoo abilities much

PLANS

General: I don't really have any concrete plans for Roxas right now. He's learning to swim and figuring out how to get over seasickness, so he should be ready to join a beginner crew. Or a more advanced one that doesn't mind a kid tagging along. What he lacks in sailing knowledge, he makes up for in just about everything else!

Event: I'll mostly be tagging out for the event, but I am looking at throwing him at the snowboarding (since he can skateboard), and also maybe, having some fun with the lava fields. That won't be dangerous at all.

CR Dreams: All Kinds! He always needs friends and pals and older sibling figures and people who can teach him things! He's got a whole life that he can finally live.

About: Rem is a young, friendly woman who grew up in a world in which all as “blessed” to forget the dead. She’s a child soldier, sees nothing wrong with this, and actively reaps souls (in her canon, called “phantoma”) when finished with enemies along the battlefield. She’s a ride-or-die kinda friend, literally, and she can and will kill others (or sacrifice herself) because she’ll give up anything to protect those she loves. That being said, despite all that she’s endured, she’s actually one of the more well-adjusted characters in her world! And that’s including how many times she’s lived and died in previous cycles in her world (which she can’t remember, but her soul somehow does— a good thing too considering last cycle she deemed humanity sucks and ended the world). SO YEAH ANYWAYS. She’s caring and puts others first, is actively conversational, and loves a good pun and to tease others. She's got some mysterious illness too but Don’t worry, she’s Fine. It’s fine. Nothing suspicious there. Permissions/info/opt-out here! which also goes over more key information about her soul for anyone who can sense such things.

She's also working on magitek projects on various things, but she's been spread kinda thin these past two months, unfortunately. About: Plus Ultra is a new Paladin Armada crew that just started looking to recruit other like-minded paladins for exploration and various hero duties. They focus on helping others, rescue missions and researching and collecting materials for technological advancements.

About: Rin was originally a street urchin that was found by Davil and Castien. They raised her in an underground organization called 'Crimson', which is basically an organization that provides drugs and illegal weapons to nobility and street urchins. Of course they do more than that, and Rin is involved with the assassination branch of the organization. She's a trained weapon, needless to say, but despite her upbringing, her Dads made sure that she grew up cheerful and friendly.

During the war, she's utilized as an assassin to kill off Demetria Xydis' officers. She takes on several missions through this time, and basically, at the end, makes a talisman with the help of many others within the organization to seal away Demetria when she's weak. She's basically one of the original war heroes but she doesn't enjoy that title too much.

As for her personality, Rin is actually very friendly. She can be a bit annoying due to her friendly and trusting nature, but she likes making people feel like they have a friend. She's a good person, somewhat, but her work makes her seem like she's not. WHICH. SHE'S NOT CLAIMING SHE IS, she is just very happy and friendly because she knows if she's not anything else, all the things she's done might actually weigh down on her and she doesn't want that.

Friendly note as well: she's a seamstress. Come to her for customized clothing!

Abilities:

Katana proficiency/swordplay: Rin has been a skilled swordsman for nearly all of her life. She moves fast with her sword, and is able to perform acrobatic skills with her sword. At present, her sword looks like this.

Fire magic: Can embed fire magic into her sword, and can, quite surprisingly, summon a mini phoenix to burn her enemies. Although, her control with fire is not good, she still manages to possess an affinity for it when she's calm and collected. She usually does not use this magic, as it causes her to be exhausted, but she is able to ignite her hand into flames to act as a source of light.

Please note: Her phoenix is unavailable in Escordvi

Electricity magic: Rin's specialty. With her electricity magic, she can create lightning cages to seal her enemies. She can also invoke electricity into her katana; creating lightning slashes that vaporize enemies.

General: PLEASE GIVE ME ALL THE CR! She's a very friendly person and bonds with people very easily. Like I said before, she likes to make sure that people have friends! But she won't cross any boundaries if people are uncomfortable. I would also love for people to come to her for clothing requests since she's a seamstress.

That having been said, he will be mostly following Kaveh about like a shadow for a lack of anything else better to do since he can't exactly go to work (how tragic /s) ~~and totally not because he feels bad and is worried about him wdym~~

Abilities: He will have regained his original abilities (detailed in his app here) after Kaveh persuades him to get a tattoo (that Kaveh will probably design himself... maybe).

General: He is new so I am generally open to any and all CR to get him started around here! He is very reclusive however so it'll take a lot of prying for him to even talk... unless you know Kaveh. Then its a lot easier lmfao. But he appreciates fellow bookworms and earnest people who don't waste his time.

About: Ranma Saotome is a sarcastic but friendly young teen who, before he could even fully walk, was training in martial arts and hiking around the world with no one by his side besides his father. Said father was a greedy idiot who did things to screw with Ranma's life like secretly engaging him to other men's daughters for stuff like food, threw him in a cat pit to purposely traumatize him of cats, and got himself and his son cursed after a training accident in China. Said curse causes Ranma to turn into a girl with cold water, and back to normal with hot water. From there, Ranma was pulled into a whole cesspool of magical curses, inane martial arts techniques, rivals that want his head, and just pure hijinks. Hence he's not too phased by both the oddity of situations around him, nor is he by people wanting to inflict violence on him.

Despite all this, he's well-adjusted all things considered. Sure, he's a bit blunt, sarcastic, petty, doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut nor how to not say anything that'd upset people, gets extremely argumentative with people that annoy or threaten him, prideful and emotionally stunted in not knowing how to openly express himself. But besides all those negatives, Ranma deep down is a laidback, friendly and helpful kid who wouldn't think twice about rushing in to help someone, even if that someone's wronged him in the past. He also really, really loves martial arts and fighting, and will gush about it with anyone who will listen. Permissions/opt-out post here!

Abilities: Ranma's abilities can be discovered right here!

PLANS

General: CR for starters, Ranma's in a whole new world meaning whole new people to meet and new friends and/or nemeses to make. Other than that, he'll mostly be exploring around, doing his own thing, figuring out stuff as he goes along. He'll continue to train and look for new ways to better his skills, perhaps even seek out a sparring partner. Finding a crew for him would be nice, he's more likely to try and join one than try to make one on his own right about now. Besides all that, I could see him trying to seek out something or someone that could break his curse, and whether or not its successful or goes horribly, horribly wrong in usual fashion is up for debate.
Event: I plan on tagging out and making a top-level, especially around the volcano.
CR Dreams: Any CR, especially CRs where Ranma makes actual friends because goodness gracious this boy needs more positive influences in his life. Besides that, I'm down for him trying to find sparring partners and/or make some friendly rivals.

About:Misaki is a horrible curious cat of a person who may or may not be married to satan and is treating this as a vacation. Expect to see her all up in everyone's business because she's an awful nosy jerk!

Abilities: Misaki has a wealth of Truly Stupid magic abilities that will require opt-ins, which I will post in a comment here when I put them together, but the brief rundown is shadow and ice magic, totally safe magic contracts, one demon cat who loves stealing and another demon cat that loves biting people.

General: I'd like to get Misaki settled in and harrassing people! She's generally curious, if a huge jerk, so I may just tag out with her, but she's obviously going to be curious about the relics and exploring the volcano!

CR Dreams: Please let her be a nosy jackass at you. Please.

About: Iiit's Kaveh! Your local architect-slash-mechanical engineer-slash-aesthete-slash functional alcoholic! He's friendly and outgoing and definitely not crushingly lonely and seeking to feel the void of his existence with activities!

Abilities: Kaveh has begun expanding his telekinesis and his plant magic via the tattoo, and may eventually seek to learn some healing (or at least how to make his bloom cores stable so he can save them to chuck at people later). He is also quietly working on upgrading mehrak to include some shellphone functionality, though this is a long-term project.

PLANS

General: Kaveh is a busy social bee, but I'd like for him to get to know the hideaway crew a bit better as he slowly kidnaps the entire genshin cast onto cid's boat. He's also going to be actively seeking people to point at Alhaitham, as he's of the opinion this man needs to have friends.

MANTA Board: Kaveh will almost certainly be helping with Cid's magitech, but I am also eyeballing frost flowers and She Sews Lovely, as his bleeding heart means he'd definitely want to help out the faerie!
