ENABLE ME TIMBERS: APRIL 2024

YO HO HO EVERYONE! This is an ATP/EMP post where players can make cast requests for people to app into, or make ads for characters they are considering bringing into the game. It works like any other ATP/EMP, but we do have a few things to note down:

» Invitations are required to reserve and apply! But you can go ahead and post to the ATP/EMP post with a note you need an invite. If you know a current player, they can comment here to submit their invite for approval. Direct requests to the mods are currently closed.

» We have a 65 player cap.

» Players can only app 2 characters at once with a max limit of 3 in game. But since this is an ATP/EMP, feel free to put more if you're having trouble deciding!

» Our Game Info should cover everything you need, from basic premise summary to the nitty gritty details of the game mechanics. If you have any questions, post them there.

» Just want to make it clear that this is not a claims page. While we give priority to whoever is on the Reserve list, we do allow app challenges, and there is no rule against multiple players TDMing the same character. Of course we don't want there to be too much conflict, so everyone please be polite no matter who it is.

» TDM is Monday, April 15th. This TDM will double as our First Tides event, but we will include a traditional "starter prompt" for TDM specific characters. Everything will be carried over as canon!

» Reservations open Wednesday, April 24rd.

» Applications open Wednesday, May 1st.

It's Miss Protagonist of Honkai Star Rail, Stelle! She's canonically somewhat quiet and doesn't speak a lot, but also canonically a literal trash panda with an obsession for trash cans. While she has a slightly malleable personality as a silent protagonist, I intend on playing her as a gremlin who says strange things and likes to get into trouble poking her nose where she shouldn't (it's for the Praise of High Morals, okay??? This is her theme song) She's also a nice girl, I promise. Really.

so back in 2019 some nerd decided "hey, let's take soulsbourne but make it ~anime~ and with a wicked cool goth #aesthetic", and so, Code Vein was born. i'm thinking of bringing in louis from possible mid-or-late-canon!

about louis: he's a not!vampire (in universe, known as "Revenants") who is currently fighting in a hellish post-apocolyptic landscape. he's got a rather lofty goal of trying to find a workable solution to a number of problems/mysteries in his world (the blood shortage, frenzying, the Lost, what happened to the Queen, etc.), but he's genuinely a good guy who means to help others by whatever means. louis comes with buckets of deep guilt for something that happened long ago that escalated the fucked-up state of his world x1000! you can blame him, it's okay, he's living his undead life trying to undo his mistakes. also, louis doesn't remember his real age.

so if he'd had the time, he'd spend his days reading books and continuing to study medicine. if he comes to escordvi, the poor lad might not know what to do with himself coz its so much chiller here aaaaa

For a couple of months, I have been introducing the chaotic nature of Ranma's world to the inhabitants and the world of Escordvi and causing some mayhem here and there. But you know what they say: the more, the merrier! I play Ranma as a mixture between anime and manga canon, so anime or manga-based characters are more than welcomed!

Currently, it's just the pigtailed jerk who is a Corsair. But any character would be greatly beloved!

So there's this very niche game series called Sonic the Hedgehog. Somewhere around the 2000s, they had a short-lived 'Sonic Storybook Series' where the cast were put into alternate universes based on popular stories. There were only two, one based off One Thousand and One Nights, and the other based off King Arthur and the Round Table. Long story short, Arthurian AU of everyone's edgehog Shadow who uses a sword and follows the order of a corrupted King Arthur. Whether or not I take him post-SATBK or after his first boss battle is up for debate at this moment, the latter of which giving him more opportunity for character growth and learning there's more to life than serving a king.

Plus this world needs more serious characters.

Li Mei used to be the leader of the Umgadi, warrior priestesses who protected the royal family. Under her watch was the king murdered, leading to Li Mei to step down instead of serving punishment. Becoming the First Constable seeking to redeem herself, she leads Outworld's police force in order to uphold peace and justice, though she still harbors guilt from failing to protect her king and letting her empress down. No-nonsense and serious, Li Mei does whatever it takes to weed out corruption and putting anyone who threatens her home behind bars. She also has a fiery lion-dog spirit she can summon :D

Looking for Kingdom Hearts pals to join Roxas in the Not!Caribbean! All the benefits of being a pirate, none of the clunky sailing mechanics or annoying races against Luxord (unless you like that sort of thing).

Mokuren is basically part of a special group of people who are born connected to the planet in that they can either talk to animals or plants. She can talk to plants, like literally talk to them. She can also hear flowers scream if they're pulled from the ground, etc. This does extend to fruits and vegetables. And her singing makes plants grow uncontrollably. But beside that she's pretty well adjusted considering all the bad stuff that's happened in her life. Basically everyone she loves dies at some point.

But she's over all a good person, other than forgetting certain rules about wearing clothing sometimes and just generally being a little awkward around people. (And really, really really loving everything from Japan). She tries though. She really does. Did I mention she's technically an alien who was among a group of scientists watching the Earth? Yeah there's that too.

Her canon also includes giant cats.

After much enabling and directly targeted attacks on my person, I'm here to offer you my blorbo.

Zelda is the crown princess of the vaguely fantasy-esque kingdom of Hyrule, which is constantly being destroyed by certain assholes also on this EMP. Zelda grew up under tremendous pressure to save her kingdom from Calamity, but failed and everybody died. So then she had to fight the big bad all by herself for 100 years until she was saved. Everything was good for a few years and then that same asshole/kinda decided to make even more problems. Also there is some time travel involved.

Zelda is an absolute ray of sunshine with a bunch of semi-resolved trauma and anxiety underneath and a severe self-sacrifice complex. She really really likes science and technology! She's a little bit weird but that's okay because she's also a cutie pie. Her best friend is an absolute gremlin/short king/local cryptid who happens to be the hero who saved her and she thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread.

I've been "retired" from RP for a while, so please excuse my rust. But my wife's been in Song for god knows how long now, and the words "pirate game" eventually floated their way to me. So I was curious if there's any interest in either of these two.

One is a Blue Rogue, the other is a Digger. Basically, a pirate that steal from the rich and helps the little guy, and a ruins explorer that's armed to the teeth and just wants to help people. Both are VERY big on exploration.

He's got trust issues and trauma, but surely being here and making new friends will help! Assuming any prospective friends are ok with the human equivalent of a scraggly stray cat! His hissing is worse than his bite, though, as he's actually quite soft under the prickly layers, though he's loathe to admit it.

Anyway, holds him up like a cat. I think he'd be fun to have in the pirate game! Lots of opportunity to be gay do crimes steal stuff and get into and maybe out of trouble. :3

I'm much more tentative with Themis, here... But I keep thinking about how this man needs a fun vacation, and surely this is an ideal game for that. :D

A-anyway, earnest and cheerful (though quite serious when he needs to be), Themis here is a workaholic who devotes himself wholly to his job as one of the Convocation of Fourteen - a council that oversees pretty much everything in his world. His position in the seat of Elidibus is to be adjudicator, so he's busy pretty much all the time overseeing disputes, etc. But here, of course, he's responsible for nothing, so no reason to keep any of his latent gremlin energy in check.

Someone please help him find a hobby before he starts trying to get too involved in investigating things and mediating problems here too--

Preferred Armada: Gohan, a self-styled defender and protector who despite his own inhibitions always steps up to defend the peace when he's needed most, is surely a natural fit for the Paladins. Now, whether he'd stay with the Paladins at large or strike off with a smaller crew is another story.

ANYWAY meet Gohan. If you've ever watched a single episode of Dragon Ball Z you probably recognize this kid! He's roughly 10 years (canon's a little inconsistent about that) and has been through so much traumatic shit and somehow came out of it relatively stable! He's still a kid (despite canon labeling him as Teen Gohan at this age???) but he's pretty mature and incredibly smart for his age.

He's kind of at a turning point in his life at this point in canon, trying to decide what he wants to do with his life and what direction he wants to go, so it'll be fun to see how things turn out for him thrust into a new world full of adventure.
