About: Our Blurb:
Magic, Science, and all-the-ways-they-mix Research Team! There are a lot of forgotten relics, forsaken lands, and forbidden arts lost to the waves and time. The Raiders of the Lost Arts are dedicated to finding, researching, and potentially utilizing whatever they can find. Legal methods of acquiring information and research materials may or may not be followed.

Pitch: The Phantom Moon has started to explore the world away from the Leviathans to make new discoveries, further their own research projects, and generally be a nuisance to the wildlife of whatever islands they encounter. As such, there will be regular crew logs every couple-three months to cover the span of time they are out to sea.

Friends and potential recruits are welcome to hop on over if they can get a current crew member to bring them back with them via a Ring of Returning. Or attempt to sneak aboard in the case of Toge's boyfriend. This can be handwaved.

We have two requirements:
1.) Characters speak to and/or know someone already on the crew. This only means that there is an IC chain of how a character got introduced to the crew. It can be handwaved with agreements between players.
2.) Characters have and/or acquire a ring of returning within the first month or so of joining so that they can hop between the ship and the leviathans as needed.

Crew: The Hideaway
About: Currently the Hideaway's purpose is a bit "loose," taking more of a independent, free to do what you want direction. Taking the odd jobs, helping others, and just living a more "free adventure life" of the Corsairs, even acting something like "Robin Hood" with their actions. However, although the Hideaway is on the "nicer" side of the Corsair group, they still behave and act more like outlaws, willing to bend and break the rules if needed.

Pitch: Cid is also interested in looking into finding the relic responsible for the rifts, so if there's anyone who wants to potentially stay in Escordvi longterm, this is the group for you! If you just want to have fun and have six powerful Dominants behind your back, also the group for you! We're pretty loose with me behind the wheel and Cid himself tends to look at people for their talents (especially tech savvy!) and need for a place. So yeah a fun, comfy "found family" type of group. Cid is also running a "magitech" type business so, those interested in inventing and engineering are also welcome.

Even though they are Corsair affiliated, Paladins are welcome! The crew will be working on obtaining their own little island base to help facilitate travel and lodging for both groups.

About: She is a 1,000-year-old shape-shifter who never talks about how she really acquired these abilities. Never fit in with other animals, had one human friend who eventually turned on her. Spent a thousand years doing ???. Turns up in a "futuristic" Kingdom, befriends a guy who was set up to murder the queen. Gets betrayed by him too. Nimona is a wild "child", she enjoys metal music, cooking, and generally being a little gremlin. Her goal is to get friends and be accepted for who she is - and what she is. Opt-in for potential facetwin shenanigans.

General:

I want Nimona to get dragonnapped. Only for her to turn around as a dragon and then dragonnap someone else for fun. This is open to ANYONE: because she is a mischievous little gremlin who would snatch up a random stranger. If I have multiple takers, that's fine too.

Dragon riding: is she the dragon, is she the rider? Why not both?!

Nimona will be living for the Corsair-style festival, so please come at me if you want her to prank your character.

About: Straight-laced and rigid, Dion is practically the perfect example of a Paladin - with a strong sense of justice. He's also the Dominant of Bahamut, not that he has advertised that too much. Although the consequences are less on him here, he hasn't primed very much. The greater details can be found here.

General: Dion will be living his best life on dragon island, although it's entirely possible he will catch too much affectionate attention from the dragons.

He is not likely to be captured, but he could definitely rescue anyone in that situation.

Outside of that, he'll be having a lovely time with Joshua.

A 38,000+ god, in-canon equivalent of the King of Hell, and literally the most powerful being in his universe, he's got an ego that is well earned but not to the benefit of society. Daqiang has spent the majority of his life devoid of emotions and through in-canon shenanigans has started to regain them. Leaving him to currently have something of a hot and cold personality wrapped around a highly intelligent scholar who is curious about the world and slowly, very slowly, learning to be a person instead of the tool and weapon of his people that he has thought of himself as for so long.

PLANS

General: Gonna take it a little easy this month, but Daqiang is cursed by the sleeping curse and he's been trying to figure out a counter-curse ritual for that - only his attempts haven't been working because he made the wrong (though not obviously so, considering the amount of information about sleeping curses found on Avaleci and that the curse started shortly after the leviathan's arrival there) connection between the curse and the fire horse. So his rituals have basically been targeting the wrong thing. He will be involved in the fire horse rituals, the sleeping curse breaking, and once he's healed from the curse, enjoying some time on dragon island. Maybe he'll let himself be kidnapped for the novelty of it.

General: In the short term, Kaveh is still constantly seeking out friends to fill the void in his life that is not having any actual work to do. While this will be partially solved whenever the hideaway gets an island base for him to design, he's never going to be satisfied for long. Long term, Kaveh may start a small school for basic mathematics and art classes, sensing a bit of a lack on Eltrut and also lowkey going stir crazy.

MANTA Board: Kaveh is interested in SEVERAL of the quests and will have a catch-all log later this week! There will also be a housewarming log invaded by the gnomes--any of Kaveh (or Alhaitham's) cr can attend, or be invited as a plus one. An associated shellphone post is here and frankly if you ask for an invite he'll give you one to spite alhaitham.

As far as other quests go, he will be involved with Spelling Me Softly, the Barrier Stress Test, Beauty Banditry, and She Sews Lovely. He may also be involved in hunting the Lore Accurate Jellyfish and possibly taking pictures of mermaids!
Event: Kaveh is 110% going to be kidnapped by dragons. He'd like to look at the castle but.

General: Misaki is still settling in! I would like for her to get some more CR with the Raiders crew, and perhaps branch out into some more people to harrass, but for now she is treating this like a vacation.
MANTA Board: Misaki will be deeply involved in trying to solve the sleeping curse, attempting various methods of summoning the demons because summoning demons and gratuitous violence are the solution to 90% of supernatural problems she's pretty sure. ADDITIONALLY, she will return to the volcano to try and deal with the horse, tho less because it will explode the island and more because she wants to know the nature of what was done to the poor thing.

Other manta board quests she is interested in are an Apple for an eye, with a vague interest in harvesting moonlight and spelling me softly. She will be interested in aiding the hunt for the slaver in the Price of Freedom, but has no strong feelings about dealing the killing blow as long as the man does in fact get dead.

About: Roxas is the Nobody of series protagonist Sora. Or former Nobody, it gets a bit weird. Regardless, he's recently gained a body of his own and was all set to start living his life properly as a normal kid and ended up here instead. He's a little less than thrilled at having his plans messed with but you do what you gotta, even if that means dealing with seasickness and the big scary ocean.

Roxas himself is a pretty easy going kid. He's very much a teenager and doesn't trust super easily. He's fairly cautious, unless you manage to rile his temper up. But it's also pretty easy to break through that veneer and reveal the good kid underneath.

PLANS

General: I have no solid plans for Roxas but he definitely should get out and explore more so there might be a focus on that. He's got a whole world for that after all.

MANTA Board: The Moondrakes and the High Above Me She Sews Lovely quests look interesting!

Event: Roxas will probably have a top-level. He'll be a bit awkward, being a Paladin during a Corsair-centered event, but he might be interested in some games and the dragon riding. Might also have him being one of the kidnapped individuals

About: Kaveh's reticent roommate. Would rather read a book all day than actually go out and do things. Is, in fact, only doing things because either it A) interests him or B) allows him to do something which will annoy Kaveh, like getting the most awesome house decorations. Will most likely not bother with you unless you are an earnest teenager or knows Kaveh enough to bring him up in conversation.

General: Nothing too specific but Alhaitham does very much need friends that are not Kaveh lmfao. He just takes forever to really see anyone as a friend but people are always free to try and poke him. At the very least he has learned not to bite back unless you really go out of your way to annoy him.

But also probably at some point it would be fun for people to begin latching onto the fact that Kaveh's feelings for Alhaitham are very much not one sided. He's just somewhat better at not letting it show for now.

MANTA Board:

Initial invites will be primarily for Kaveh's CR, they are also free to bring a plus one for the occasion. I would include Alhaitham's CR is basically a subset of Kaveh's anyway LMAO. Other than that Alhaitham is free to pop up for other people and be their Gnome Whisperer (TM).

MAGITEK BARRIER STRESSTEST: Will most likely be there with Kaveh and skulk about. Please let Clover and I know if you desire a three way thread with them because I want more of those :D :D :D

The older brother of the more famous Holmes and no less smart than him, but liable to get tripped up in the emotions he doesn't always admit to having. Former bureaucrat, willing to throw himself into danger, exceptionally loyal, full of manners, secret romantic.

General: Currently, Mycroft's studying magical theory in an attempt to understand the concept of magic in general and catch up to where his intelligence falls short, and I'm intending to have him dig deeper via both books but eventually decide to temporarily acquire powers to understand them more innately. Beyond that, I'd like to have him take up boxing again for a hobby, as well as find situations that can be solved with intelligence over power so he can put his brain to work, and committing himself to a crew at a point. Please give him enrichment or he's going to start theorizing on how to overhaul the banking systems.

MANTA Board:
General - I'd like to loop him into The Edge of Sleep with the research he's been doing for the Phantom Moon - perhaps finding an obscure hint or helpful account somewhere in the books he's been poring over. Also There's No Place Like Gnome because I think terrorizing him with a gnome or two is hilarious. Toying with Dear Ocean, because it will send him into a bit of a moody state but get him to open up if he starts talking about love lives.
Paladins - Definitely going to be taking advantage of She Sews Lovely and keeping the seamstress's name and location in his pocket, and trying to strike up a passing friendship there. Open to roping him into Beauty Banditry as well if someone needs a willing or unwilling partner in crime.
Beyond what's stated, if you bring me an idea, I'm happy to follow up on it!

Event: Going to do my best to have a toplevel, but if not, I'll be tagging around. The festival looks like it'll be open for a lot of fun, and though he is no Corsair, Mycroft's up for seeing how it goes. General: I am suffering a bit of burnout and plan on hiatusing during March, so I'll be keeping it to a few closed threads/tagouts this month. But I'm still open to plotting!

• Still working on that "freedom" thing. After living in servitude her whole life, she doesn't understand what it's like to live on her own terms, for herself, so she's going to be trying to reconcile with that in a number of ways. Basically, Benedikta is on a journey of "finding herself", so to speak.
  
• She has also learned that anyone can be sent back at any time, so while Cid is working to find the relic that could possibly keep them here, Benedikta is trying to find a way to permanently close the rifts. Forever. So that no one can leave. Ever. (Obviously this will not work, but that doesn't mean she's not going to try!)
  
• Garuda plot coming in May, so please keep an eye out for that! Especially if you have CR with her...
  
• Still want her to steal a ship with someone and then leave them on an island. Also putting a bounty on someone's head for pissing her off would be fun!

MANTA Board:

A 17 year old martial artist who's spent all of childhood training before he could even walk properly. He's got a small bit of pride problem, social cues of a brick wall, has all the tact of a cannonball to the face, and he can be a sarcastic prick at times. Apart from that, he's just your typical teenager who wants to make friends with people who may or may not want to stab him. Oh, there's also his whole gender-bender curse triggered by water, much to his chagrin.

PLANS

General:

For starters: He needs more friendly people to make friends with who don't despise his guts and won't want his head mounted on their wall. Alternatively, he's got a habit of making enemies and rivals wherever he goes, so it wouldn't be too out of the question if that happens here.

Ranma's going to be looking for people to spar and fight with. He's got to keep his skills sharp, and with his ki abilities improved by the tattoos, he's going to want to test and innovate new techniques that he'll want a training buddy to help out with.

Due to Misaki being a jerk who's concerned or whatever, he's being forced to confront his trauma over cats. Which could end well or terribly for anyone nearby.

He'll most likely be doing this in secrecy, but he'll be searching for ways to cure his curse without anyone knowing. So far only two-threeish people know about it to his surprise, but with his history with water, it'll most likely get out sooner or later.

Knowing his luck, he's probably going to get dragonnapped. Alternatively, he's also going to be rescuing anyone unfortunate enough to be dragonnapped themselves. Or, well, try to at least.

He'll definitely be checking out the festival, especially the challenges. Might even drag someone into it to make it a proper competition.

Dragon riding, deep sea diving, monster hunts and more are all up his alley!

MANTA Board:

Spelling Me Softly: He's already cursed to turn into a girl. Getting turned into a sheep will just make his day. Warning: He will most likely bite you with his sheep teeth. He'll also probably try to return the favor.

Harvesting Moonlight: He's always up to trying new food, especially food he's never tried before. Cooking's one of the things he's good at, so he'd definitely be up for trying to prep some dish with the moondrakes!

There's No Place Like Gnome: Help him dropkick some gnomes.

Magitek Barrier Stresstest: Hitting things and exploiting their weaknesses is his cup of tea!

Beauty Banditry: He's bound to be the unlucky sap that gets makeup done on him/her for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Apple for an Eye: Ranma's got perfect aim, so his partner won't have much to worry about. On the other hand... it's Ranma, so worry a little bit.

The Price for Freedom: No way in hell is Ranma sitting back and letting a piece of crap run around. He won't be aiming to kill the slaver, only dispatch him. If anyone wants to tag along and score the kill for themselves, he won't be too thrilled about it, but he won't shed many tears either.

Who Let The Dogs Out: He totally is coming by there to check the place out. Definitely not there to steal. Also may or may not try to adopt a dog and teach it to go after cats shhhhh

Lore Accurate Jellyfish + Zombie Mermaids: Whether he's male or female (most likely the latter on account of his curse), he's not about to let a little water stop him from fighting monsters

About: Faris was born a princess in the most absurdly altruistic family that ever was, got shipwrecked at age 5, was raised as a pirate lad, forgot her origins, befriended a sea dragon, and became a ship's captain. And then a bunch of weirdoes (including her long-lost sister) turned up to "borrow" her ship and brought a whole lot of uncertainty to her life along with the opportunity to save the world through the power of dress-up.

So, for the most part, Faris is a swashbuckling pirate with a bad attitude and a compunction for striding into any contentious situation, no matter how dangerous. But that's also alongside his newfound sense of responsibility and a desire to do the right thing when things are really important, and very few tools to deal with (much less verbalize) his complex feelings using real words for humans. This also extends to Faris being genderfluid but coming from a society that has not yet developed any understanding of that concept.

All this is to say that if you want someone to swashbuckle with, get into stupid pointless arguments, and experience moral qualms with, Faris is your pirate.

General: I'd love to have Faris deepen some of the connections he's already got! He's been exposed to some people who are starting to make him ask himself pretty significant questions, which is an experience that is uncomfortable for him and delightful for me.

I am also down with Faris meeting new people and finding trouble with them, because that is honestly something that Faris is REALLY GOOD at. Also good at accidentally breaking things and making it worse (aka the plot of FFV).
MANTA Board:

• Fire Horse: Faris will be very happy to fight the fire horse and save the island from being a splode.
  
• Price of Freedom (Corsair): Count Faris as one of the people who wants to kick this guy's ass. He's less interest in tricking the guy into giving up than he is in just pounding him.

Event: DRAGONS!! Faris is so into this. Faris is absolutely here for playing treasure hunt with the dragons if you want your character to get "kidnapped." He will also be dragon riding and doing hunting with the dragons, basically if you are hanging out with the dragons then you can find Faris there too.

About: Personification of the ship USS Enterprise, brought to life by something called a Wisdom Cube. Her canon is kinda wacky and a trip to get into. But Enty herself the second oldest of her two sisters, Yorktown and Hornet. She enjoys just kind of enjoying life whenever she can. So far this has basically felt more like a vacation than anything. Coming from a world based off of our own and set against the backdrop of a pseudo-WW2. Enty's seen quite a few of her friends, and both sisters, perish (don't worry they got better, kind of). Enterprise herself has been wounded plenty of times in the past as well. And while she smiles and does her best to be helpful! Somethings won't fully heal.

Enterprise herself tends to work a bit too hard at times and enjoys going all out whenever possible. Sometimes to the point of near breaking. She's gotten better about self-care but is still kind of working on it. She also tends to eat junk in place of a healthy meal and is quite fond of her medal collection (she is quite sad that she doesn't have it here.).

General: At the moment I'm debating on getting her her own ship or have Enty join someone's crew. That, or just give her a little, personal sailboat. OR BOTH! Really, just trying to find ways to have her engage with the setting more and grow her cr further.

I'm especially interested in giving her that medal collection mentioned above. Or introducing people to the wonder of AIRPLANES and SAILING. Again, this is all more of a vacation for her at this current point in time. One filled with fun and adventure!
