PLAYER INTRO: NOVEMBER 2023

YO HO AND AHOY EVERYONE! This post is our catchall gathering place for all new and old players to meet and greet. Introduce yourself and the character you're bringing in, giving us whatever info you feel comfortable with! Don't forget to join the Discord server if you haven't already! The invite code will be in the app notice.

The CR Workship is also available for you to post into or check out and try to plot with others on there. Be sure to read our recent Captain's Log for any important announcements, and hop into our open log!

Hi, I'm Chips and I'm bringing Emet-Selch from Final Fantasy XIV. He's the antagonist of the Shadowbringers expansion (5.0) and is not really the easiest man to get along with. ~~Hard to be friends when you're up on your high horse all the time.~~ There's not much I can mention due to spoilers but suffice to say that he's not really a simple, one-note villain. Thankfully, he's landed in Escordvi after his villain phase so he won't be as difficult to get along with as he might otherwise have been.

He's been assigned to the Paladin crew but, uh, don't expect him to be upholding any laws unless he feels like it. This guy follows his own moral code.

I am so tickled that Emet got put into paladins because it's both insane and fitting for him to be there. We need more morally gray paladins and he's just perfect for the job. Hello! I am vaguely aware of Type-0 but the story went over my head. I'm very interested in seeing where Emet and Rem's CR will go though! If you'd like, I'm happy to say the TDM thread is game canon for them. Who knows when they'll get another chance to mess with the undead lmao

And funny about mentioning more undead things coz the event/catch all log involves a cursed tombstone lol, if you wanted to do anything with that.

There was so much to read that I just kind of grasped at things that Emet would voluntarily do as tag hooks LMAO......... But if you'd like to have Rem ask him for help with the tombstone thing then he will (grudgingly) acquiesce! I'm happy to do a custom thread.

oooh absolutely! I had asked the mods some questions re: tombstone relic here, actually. so we could possibly do something with that. rem would absolutely attempt to extract whatever is in the tombstone.

and, because she's still carrying a bunch of souls herself, she'd want to know what it's made of/what sort of enchantments are on it that it's capable of housing souls as ab inanimate object. and she needs a research buddy for that 👀

Sounds good :> Emet will be her unwilling research assistant, haha! Speaking of which, if she does carry souls around with her then Emet might be able to see them as part of her? Up to you how you want that to play. If he's going to be looking at souls whilst they work together he'll very likely notice anything unusual.
