About: Roxas is the Nobody of Sora, protagonist of Kingdom Hearts. He is essentially the shell left behind when someone looses their Heart and becomes a Heartless. Though, thanks to the shenanigans of the series that require a powerpoint or a youtube essay to explain, he is able to exist as his own person, and is at a point where he's doing that. He probably has a Heart now, but his own relationship to it dubious at best. He doesn't think too much about it.

Personality-wise, Roxas is basically Sora on Mute. He's a little quieter, a little more thoughtful but no less loyal to his friends and determined to help or stand up against people who would try to cast the Worlds into Darkness. He probably comes off as too serious to start but it's easy to break through that veneer.

PLANS

General: So, Roxas went through a month of falling through rifts and having adventures, so he's looking forward to staying in one place for a little bit. He'll probably be taking it easy and trying to catch up with people.

He's also working through feelings like usual. Still needs to fight a big monster or something.

OOCly, May turned into a bit more of a Month than I expected but June is looking to be chill. I probably won't go as hard as I did, but I'll be working to catch up with older threads and the like.

About: Hawks comes across as charming and overtly friendly and gregarious, like he's being completely open with someone when it's so far from the truth. He's always playing a role. He happens to be very good at it, although talking to him long enough is enough to poke holes in this illusion. He's passionate about altruism, and believes everyone can participate, and incredibly idealistic about living in a better world, while knowing the evil that lurks beneath. He's most recognized by his massive red wings, and the fact he's always flying everywhere, flitting around way too quickly. There's a reason he's known for the man who moves way too fast for his own good.

He's open about his flight and ability to manipulate his feathers as well as using them for rescues. Particularly astute people may wonder how he does that, that's because he can also feel and send vibrations through them, allowing him to 'see' through echolocation, and hear the sounds just about anything makes. This is what makes him a fantastic spy and assassin, which happens to be his under the table job for those who own him. He hates that aspect, but he's been told it's for the greater good and if that's the case, it's better that he suffers and no one else.

PLANS

General: As of mid last month, Hawks has been here one year! Currently he plans on bring Faulkner some chocolate and talking his way into another date, and hunting down those human traffickers. For some reason he's personally offended by that. I definitely want people to keep pushing him because it's better for him to get close to people and not just hold himself at a distance.

I am planning on canon updating him very soon. August, maybe, due to plans in July.

MANTA Board: He's interested in Glory In The Hole, Paint The Town ROYGBIV, Tara-Tam Deepcroft 2 since he did part 1, Eggscort Duty, Closing Loose Ends*, Cat Kneads, Find Elah!

* So Hawks is really incensed about this and it is likely to get dark. He has zero tolerance for people who engage in human trafficking as a victim of it himself. In fact, them refusing to come in is likely to end very poorly for the person who just might find out just what the HPSC has trained him to do. He does not necessarily care that they want these people solely captured. He's disgusted with the Paladin leaders as it is and he doesn't have to listen to them. They get the chance to come peacefully and if they don't...I have a gif for that.

Event: Getting slimed sounds fun and fending off sharkfolk also seems possible. Not sure my specific plans, let's make some.

neve is a cynical private investigator with trust issues the size of the known world and a heart of gold buried within. she's known to work herself into the ground, fights for the lower class, and won't stop until the job is done, whatever it is. she doesn't trust easily — she's a mage from a place where the old-bloods are trying to literally breed the perfect mage and she learned from an early age to be wary of those who only want her to help their own social standing — but once she does, she's a steadfast friend for life. she responds well to kindness, cynicism, jokes, teasing, and genuine charm. unlikely to get physically intimate with anyone she doesn't have an emotional connection with, but a part of her is very tactile, just buried deep in caution and distrust.

things of note: her armor and her prosthetic leg are always open to be noticed. The latter works and bends like a normal leg, but does make some interesting thumping noises when she walks on different surfaces.

PLANS

General: I want to get her set-up as either an information trader or a private investigator for anyone who might want those services. Maybe both. Probably both. She's got an eye for info and I'll have a notes post in her journal for things she knows and learns, but I'd love to use it as a change to gain more CR. She's good at finding things, finding people, making connections she can pull on for information later. We're still on the up-swing for getting her connections up and running, settling her in, and getting her to really start latching onto people. This will take a while, as she is a slow burn for friendship, too.

MANTA Board: Glory in the hole, Ink it til you make it - both for the connection aspect as well as the reward items. Closing Loose Ends would be up her alley, so if anyone is looking for help/companions/whatever on that one, I will volunteer her gladly.

I really would like to have her do something special for the Whale Memorial prompt because that will hit home hard for her, given certain choices in her world state. This prompt especially will be emotional and spoilery, just as a heads-up. She doesn't have much current CR, so I'm open to having someone new involved if they would like a slightly easier intro to CR with Neve.

Event: I would love for her to be involved in things and will plan to work up a top-level when the event goes live. Things should be wrapped/calmer by then. Rain does not bother her at all. It rains near-constantly in her home city, so she's perfect for this. She'll be helping with the glue at least. Definitely will want to help defend the island from the sharkfolk and could be an interesting party for a trek to the volcano and the temple. Being a frost mage means she's a good one to help keeps things cool and will want to do as much recon and rescue as possible.

Betsy's a mutant that's been a charter pilot, model, Captain Britain, a member of 40 different X-Men teams brainwashed to be an assassin, a dimension hoping "fixer", and part of a hit squad. There's also a complicated body swap don't ask (or do to unlock traumatic backstories)

She's loyal, really embraces people who are different, can be cynical, sometimes comes off as a bit stiff and proper, but can also be a bit more loose and flirtatious if the mood hits. Likes to rush head first into things without thinking. Needs to be needed (she'll claim that isn't true) and is currently struggling with her morality.

Also can snap and go on revenge sprees as normal people do.

General: She's still trying to get set up, learn as much as she can about this place. Definitely looking for allies or friends! I'd love for her to find some way to help people with her abilities since she often just uses them for destruction. She's a telepath and can do psychic therapy/healing. There's a permission form for that here

About: What happens when you take a friendly and outgoing teen with a mischievous streak, remove his capacity to feel and train him as an assassin for a near decade? You get anomalies like Axel. Axel is known in KH terms as a Nobody: a 'person' without a heart who can no longer experience emotion, but one who is extremely good at faking it.

Thanks to his strong connection to people like Roxas and Sora, Axel has been able to reawaken some 'feeling' in himself over time, but it is often in short bursts and extremely fleeting for anyone outside of their presence. The Armada brands hurt Axel bad in this regard. With nearly all of his CR being Paladins he has been lonely and fighting hard not to regress back into the apathetic shell he used to be.
Thankfully after a month of recovery he is slowly regaining his sense of self.

He can be meddlesome and liable to push people out of their comfort zones-- if only to experience something vicariously through their reactions-- but he has a good 'heart'--even if it, er, isn't exactly inside of him-- underneath the sass and swagger. The lone adult on the Plus Ultra crew.

PLANS

General: Definitely a lighter month for me. I used all last month closing up Event threads and just need a bit of a breather. I'm happy to keep things loose and tag into things that catch my eye though. I have a lot of lovely new castmates I'd love to get to know better!

I'm always looking for positive things Axel can learn to use his fire for. His magic is the one part of his identity that he feels actually belongs to him, that isn't just steeped in darkness, and it's become increasingly important to find some way to see it as something more than just a tool that the Organization would use.

That said, almost dying in prison has definitely given him a wakeup call to never be caught that helpless again...

I'm also open to backdating any rift shenanigans because I missed my chance for that last month and who doesn't love fun with portals?

MANTA Board: The Tavern Brawl could be a great chance for some silly chaos or something like Eggscort duty could have potential (maybe Axel can warm some eggs that a parent unfortunately isn't returning for until others can help relocate the the nest to a new surrogate)
Going on looser quests like ingredient gathering could also be nice, just a good setup to banter while on the job.

I'm excited to see the Balmoro on there too! I might wait on that one to roll over into next month to really make good use out of the prompts for it but there's no reason I can't fight them multiple times either!

Event: I don't know about top levelling but I'll definitely be bouncing around the TDM. I keep getting suprised by new castmates, so I want to make sure I'm available and possibly use the event as a backdrop to get to know some of my newer CR better too. Nothing out of the ordinary here!

As 'hotheaded' as Axel might come off, revenge against  the crystal raiders isn't really something he'll go out of his way for this time. Let someone else do the icky jobs. He has given a pretty callous impression of himself though, in regards to Elah, perhaps he'll make up for that a bit by defending the island against some shark/shark folk attacks.

General: After turning into a shark last event, and the sharkfolk attacking, Beat might have a few shark related memories bubbling at the surface. He might be a little bit quieter than usual, zoning out from time to time.

He will also be catching fish because he said that he'd help Garrus out. Will he be successful? Probably not. I'll have this as part of my catch-all, too.

As usual, always open to strengthening/rekindling old CR and gaining new ones for him.

MANTA Board: Going to put up a MANTA board catch-all in a day or two. General: So this month is Darin's birthday! And he's had a complex about it his entire life but for the first time, a certain princess will be throwing him a party. There won't be a party log, but I will be putting up a catch-all with a prompt to his reaction to the surprise! So you're welcome to hit him up there! Beyond that, long-term goals are for Darin to start to come into his own as a heroic figure and potential leader. I'd love for someone to knock him down a few pegs, or worse, make him lose his cool to bring out the demon god in him that's tethered to his emotions. The more blind rage he feels, the likelier he'll become the one thing he hates. I'm always up for plotting and getting people involved, so don't be afraid to hit me up. I'm also considering redeeming some points to bring in some ruins from Darin's world. I'd love for him to dig into what the god inside of him actually is! So if that's something that also interests you, let's talk!

About: At a glance, Kitsunami is timid. He's stuttering, he's stammering, he's never confident in his own words, and if you don't react positively to him, he's definitely done something wrong. He's completely dedicated to his partner, Surge, and whatever Surge thinks? She's right. It wouldn't be hard to guess just how dependent on his partner he is.

Enough that, in order to achieve Surge's goal of becoming a hero, he's willing to kick up a few problems himself. He's clever and manipulative when he needs to be, and perfectly happy to pull the strings around him into a disaster if it means Surge might get a chance to shine. This is why he ended up as a Corsair. This is just pasted from my info page.

About: Hotheaded, confident and violent tenrec that wants to beat the shit out of Sonic, and when it's not beating the shit out of Sonic, it's being a horrible hero in her attempts to try and save others. Surge is a "leap before you think" type of girl who thinks of the consequences later which will probably get people in a lot of trouble, but she's very serious about doing the Right Thing in trying to be a hero. She doesn't want to be looked at like a villain, but evil thoughts (Eggman's voice) sits in her head from time to time.

PLANS

General: Nothing too deep, just building character relationships or meeting new people, or people that she can save. You know, anything revolved around hero stuff, she wants to show off how cool she is.
MANTA Board: Anything works for Surge, even if it's running into your character at that specific spot, just tell me what you want. As a hero, she has to be flexible to any situation, and as a bully she must also be flexible to any situation, so if you want her, I'm sure we can cook something up.

About: Short of the actual gods, Emet-Selch is one of the most powerful adversaries the Warrior of Light faces in FF14. To the average mortal/human, he WOULD be considered one - however, he considers himself a regular man and he lives and dies the same way (even if said life is practically indefinite). Amongst his own people, he was known as a powerful and competent mage with particularly sharp Soulsight: the ability to perceive things at the aetherial level.

As an individual, he's rather solitary and standoffish and doesn't make friends easily. But he cares more than he lets on.

Abilities: As Emet-Selch doesn't have access to Creation magicks here in Escordvi, he's simply just a powerful mage. This ranges from the typical elemental spells to healing spells to more esoteric things like aether-imbued weapon arts. He can also transform into a boss form second form, but here it's restricted by intense emotion.

Event: Cultists sacrificing people to a god, huh. Emet sure hasn't seen that happening before. :') He's going to stay out of that (but hey if you want an ethics debate...).

CR Dreams: He needs more FRIENDS. I finally have some brainpower after the blah that was May. Emet runs the Adamantine Forge, which aims to produce magitech goods for general household use. He'll be working on a crystal battery for Cloud next but also tinkering with adding a linkpearl function to shellphones for emergency use after his work on remote-control toys earlier was a moderate success.

he's spunky. he's sarcastic. he's a protag in the way that he ends up getting into people's business, either by accident or actually doing it himself. he's friendly for the most part unless the vibes are rancid, and will probably die for you after becoming his friend. his fatal flaw is loyalty, if that tells anyone anything. he's very much a millennial-era protag (except rick riordan doesn't actually keep track of time), so he may make vague fourth wall references but won't actually drop names or recognize any characters or anything unless we plot it out. his memory is kind of shit so i kinda handwave that part, because pop culture references don't really matter as much when you're fighting for your life.

About: Ninja detective spy. While he is legitimately incredibly skilled, Espio is also something of a show-off at times because he really needs all of you to think he's very cool. Though he acts aloof, in truth he is full of emotions that he works (and sometimes fails) to hold back on, even to his detriment.

About: Azu is a pretty boy based on the Disney Villain Ursula from Little Mermaid. As such, he is a guy that is on the surface friendly and helpful, but in actuality can be rather greedy and more interested in building up wealth and power through his business ventures and magical contracts. He has been trying his best to play nice so that he can build up some rapport and investigate the best avenues that will allow him to return home... for better or worse. (Stares into the distance at the rifts that popped up last month that he still hasn't gotten in trouble for making yet...) More information about him can be found here from his app if you're interested!

As one might be able to guess, Azul is an octomerman: his true form is that of a mermaid with octopus features. As such, he is able to swim farther/faster, breathe underwater, enhanced grip-strength, and has the use of his tentacles to grab and lift objects. He despises his octomer form due to some severe insecurities regarding his appearance, so he will try to avoid being seen in this state very often. (Though as of the last two months, this has not worked out in his favor and he is not particularly happy about it, rip)

He is also an exceptionally skilled mage and alchemist: he can create and craft spells, items, and potions that anyone may be in need of for nearly any request, no matter how impossible it may seem. However, he will insist on people signing contracts with him using his signature spell "It's A Deal" in order for his magic to be able to accomplish the request being asked of him if it's a difficult request (or rather, if he feels it is difficult enough to require it), details of which can be found here.

PLANS

General: Azul plans to finally announce a proper opening for the Mostro Lounge soon! In addition to his usual services of selling potions and spells, this will be a place that is a hangout spot to chat with friends, play games, or take part in any performances or entertainment using the stage that's been built in. If you are someone who wants to play music or put on a show or the like for an audience, be sure to let Azul know! We will also accept any interest in getting a job at Azul's business if desired, whether that be helping with the Lounge's upkeep, or assisting in his side hustle of magic and alchemy in some manner... just make sure to read your contract very carefully before you sign anything.

Also, Azul still hasn't been reported for his involvement in the rifts that appeared last month, so if anyone wants to hop on that and do something with this particular inquiry MANTA is asking for details on, let me know!

About: What if you made a rom-com martial arts shounen where two tsundere idiots are unwilling engaged and forced to put up with one another and the ensuing chaos that follows? Also, one pair is a gremlin cursed with G E N D E R ™. You get Ranma ½ in a nutshell. And Ranma here is one half (ha ha) of the idiotic tsundere pair, being the poor "unfortunate" cursed sucker. He's a prodigy training in martial arts ever since he was born under the tutelage of his father... which is the root cause of his brash, sly, cheeky, dry-witted and prideful nature who does not know when to think before he speaks and, in layman's term, is a bit of a chaos gremlin who attracts conflict and mayhem like metal to magnets.

Otherwise, outside of his shortcomings and flaws, he's a friendly and chill social guy who upholds his duties as a martial artist to help the weak and innocent, and doesn't have much of a grudge with even those who've done him wrong.
