Our CR Meme CR Workship is where players can drop all the cool info for their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. Be sure to look over the MANTA Board as well as current events if you'd like to include them in your post.
We also include a designated toplevel for Crew Recruitment where players can make OOC ad posts for others to either join or request to join or make a crew. This is all for OOC coordination, so you'll have to figure out how it works ICly.
If you have multiple characters, make an individual toplevel for yourself with your player info and comment to it with each character separately.

What if Clifford the Big Red Dog came in the form of a really friendly and large 7ft+ tiefling woman? That's Karlach. Aside from her recent adventures in Faerun, she's been stuck as a conscripted soldier in the hells for about 10 years, so she's extremely grateful for every day she's under a blue sky.
She might have once been the scourge of the hells, but now she just wants to make friends and have a good time.

Abilities:
As you'd imagine, she's strong and carries a big axe. Barbarians are fairly straightforward, but Karlach is also a wildheart so she has an additional bonus of being able to speak with animals and the ability to keep her footing on almost any terrain.
Plus the obvious fact that her entire body is constantly on fire due to her infernal engine. Her tattoo is only used to control her engine somewhat.
PLANS
It has been a very busy and trying time with the arrests and then with the brands coming right after. As someone who already couldn't touch others, being forced to further proximity is unbearable. Karlach has been somewhat in her own head about it, especially because she's taking this betrayal of the armada somewhat hard.
Right now, Karlach is trying to keep busy and active so the bad thoughts don't get her.
I would love to fetch her some new CR or deepen current bonds this month.

......I would love for Zack to literally fall into her arms though. Just saying. Maybe someone needs to princess carry him for once.

For one, they're both Corsairs who need their Paladin CR to a greater degree than usual (Axel literally needs his to emotionally FEEL) and the 'starting off as a good natured person who got unwillingly scripted into becoming a killer for 10 years bit'. (Not that I expect that to come up.) Plus, you know, being fire-themed, Axel is highly resistant if not outright immune. Karlach doesn't need to be too careful around him.
I do have a backdated log where Axel is #"coping" in a raging inferno after his own prison escape. The intention was half for sparring/half meeting any fire-affiliated friends brave enough to approach, so that could give Karlach a place to vent some of her own frustrations, if you like?
But I could just as easily drop him onto her ship through a rift to justify a Manta Mission. Either way, the armada setup just seems too perfect to not take advantage of to have them meet.

I think they'd actually probably get along fantastically. Betsy would feel so terribly for her not being able to touch others though...technically she could touch Betsy? She can create like very thin barriers around herself to protect herself from injuries while fighting and could probably put one up around herself to keep from getting burned. There's also weird things she can do telepathically where she can mentally connect with someone and 'physically' touch them inside their minds. It somehow works to mimic the sensations exactly because marvel telepaths are weird.
If you'd ever wanna play around with that

first off, lightning hard YES about playing around with betsy's powers in this manner. i have actually been looking for someone who could because karlach is currently working on getting her infernal engine fixed. so, of course, she could really use someone capable of being touched by her to help calibrate her heat levels. if that's something you'd be interested in like hopping on, i could explain in better detail. 👀
for this month in particular tho, is any manta board that interests you?

but I'd love to have her help in some way with it, particularly with calibrating! She has a friend that can't touch people and absolutely knows how torturous that is. So she'd be happy to help someone be able to fix their inability to touch. So I'd love to hear more about it!!
And definitely the rifts are hilarious since she encountered something similar in canon, but also Drowned in Silence or clearing out pastures in Perfect Pastures because she...weirdly was sent as 'punishment' by her parents to herd sheep as a teenager

Hello crewmate!! I am slowly getting back to things, but I am still interested in CR with Karlach and Miriam. Miriam's been in actual recovery instead of pushing past her trauma, and she should be in a better place for lighter threads like baby shramps or a crew quest for medicine ingredients if either interest you.
Also I think you mentioned CR with ice magic users before; Miriam is also an ice magic haver (amongst the however other many pokemon types of Shard she has)

About: Just about your average gyaru highschooler, right up until a stupid bet got her abducted by aliens. And you should have seen the other guy! He got cursed by a youkai! At least Momo walked away from that encounter intact—literally—and awakened her previously dormant psychic abilities. They're fresh and new so she's still learning what she is capable of and how to do it. Her grandmother, a powerful spirit medium (sans psychic abilities), has been helping to guide her. As much as she can anyway.
The powers were kind of unexpected.
It's made Momo very interested in the occult and supernatural as a result. Which is a big development as someone who has previously spent her life denying it and her own grandmother's profession.
She is cheerful, clever, friendly, brash, and pretty much always ready to get into a fight. Messing up her nails or makeup be damned.

UHHHHH, so did anyone else notice the whale vanished? Momo sure did and she's never been happier that she made the decision to go join a crew. Couldn't have happened at a better time really! She has been having a hard time really wrapping her head around what the deal is between the Paladin/Corsair tensions and finds most it to be completely stupid.
Mostly looking for Momo to make new connections and get her out there more. I'm happy to get her involved in whatever feels right for her.
She is also having a hard time adjusting to life here since she's used to the luxuries of modern day Japan. And her grandma being around.
