Quests are separated into five categories and all have flat point values: General (4pts), Corsair (4pts), Paladin (4pts), Bounties (6pts), and Specials (12pts). Crew quests are listed under "Specials" and are worth the same amount of points (12pts). Although these quests are intended for established crews, non-members are allowed to assist if the crew invites them. However, non-members would only receive 6pts. Similarly, characters helping opposing armada quests will only be rewarded 2pts for participation unless specified otherwise. Special quests won't always be available so it may appear blank at times. These can range from group quests such as for special ship upgrades or island related quests, or they could be special event quests. All quest points can be used for the Rewards Shop.
If you wish to submit a quest, comment in the appropriate field during Activity Check with the quest written and we'll add it to the next month! Crews are also still allowed to make their own quests without our approval, but if uncertain players can comment here about them.
If you have any questions regarding any current quest, comment to this entry.

There have been reports of several ships vanishing near a recently charted island. Little is known about the island, except that it’s perpetually shrouded in dense storm clouds and lashed by relentless rain and fierce winds.
An urgent rescue mission is needed to locate the missing ships and their crews.
Upon arrival, search teams will discover the island strewn with wrecked ships and scattered debris. It’s eerily devoid of life save for the occasional insect or lone bird. The silence is suffocating here, broken only by the endless drumming of the pattering rain. But there is something strange about the rain…
The longer one stays here, the more intense the thirst for water becomes. Travellers will grow increasingly parched. But drinking the island’s water has a disturbing effect. It creates an insatiable craving to drink water. Drinkers will desperately thirst for more, losing all sense of self and thought. They’ll become hollow, single-minded creatures driven only by the urge to drink, until they’re swollen, bloated and decaying.
Avoiding the water while searching for survivors will be a deadly serious challenge. Stay dry. Stay focused. And above all else- don’t drink the water.

Around this time of the year, many of the brothels and taverns on Naughtilust like to celebrate a special little tradition of their own. The time-worn tradition of dressing their patrons up in maid dresses and letting them enjoy a nice night of frills and feather dusters. Oh my!
Join in on the fun! All establishments on Naughtilust will be providing a plethora of all things frilly to help anyone dress up in their best maid outfit. Gender is not applicable here! Need a little more motivation to dress up? Never fear, many of the locals will be more than happy to stuff you in a dress with a smile.
Just beware, there are a few leechers around during this time of year who like to grab a little more than they’re allowed to. Make sure to beat back anyone who’s bothering the poor service workers. Or you! No one gets free pinches or peeks!

Some strange magic has recently transformed one of the lesser-known islands into a... radical highway. Mountains have shifted, and long winding paths have emerged, forming perfect loop-de-loops across the landscape. It’s like a raceway straight out of an amusement park, just waiting to be torn up by daring racers.
Some of the locals on the island have turned it into a dubloon-making spectacle. For a fee, you can enter a high-speed race from one end of the island to the other, navigating wild loops and death-defying jumps. Anyone who makes it to the finish line might just walk away with a hefty share of the prize pot.
Just be careful! There might be a few not-so-friendly pirates in the area that are more interested in sabotaging the races and stealing the prize pot for themselves.

A beauty guru on Eltrut is experimenting with polymorphing potions for her upcoming “shapeshifting beauty” line. While no one is quite sure what this new trend actually entails, it seems to involve using potions to temporarily alter one’s body shape.
She’s looking for helpers to test these new potions and see how effective they really are. According to her, the potions will partial transform users into dazzling Glitzenwings (peacock people!), growing shimmering, colourful feathers across their skin and bodies and even flowing through their hair. Beautiful!
But there’s a small issue. It's not always but these potions have a tendency to misfire. Instead of pretty feathers, testers often end up growing crab claws for hands and turning into crustacean-like creatures. Oh dear... At least it's temporary?

There has been an explosion of new baby shrimp freshly hatched just off of Eltrut’s shore. These baby shrimp are a rare breed of shrimp that have now been able to make a comeback after being over fished for years.
They have a tendency to eat whatever they find in the water, though. Meaning that these little guys keep eating all the garbage in the water as well. Anything from broken glass to rusted metal to microbubbles (a plastic-like substance made from seaweed and algae)...
In order to save these shrimp from going back on the endangered species list, go out and clean up all the garbage from the surrounding waters.
But ... no one will stop you if you want to fish up the shrimp for yourself, too. Yum.

Kaveh would like to test some new photo-taking devices! He is experimenting with different ways to record images. The cameras he is providing are small, slightly bulky box models. Please select one that uses film or magitech circuits, or if you’re more tinker-savvy feel free to dismantle it and make your own improvements!
Kaveh encourages people to take the cameras and capture pictures all around Eltrut, of anything they like! Posting the photos is encouraged but not required just keep in mind that Kaveh will be reviewing them all to compare image quality.

On a paladin-owned island, a renowned monastery often used as a burial site for fallen paladins has fallen eerily silent. No messages have been sent, and no reports received for weeks. Paladin officers who've passed nearby report seeing smoke curling from its towers but no lights, no signs of life, and no active fires within.
Investigate the silent monastery and uncover what has happened. What awaits is not just ruin but sacrilege. The sacred grounds have been desecrated, and the crypts and graves have been ransacked and looted for all their valuables. Worse still, the bodies once laid to rest have vanished... and now they walk around.
Find an honorable way to return these restless dead to their final resting places without destroying them more than necessary. Clean up what damage that can be cleaned up, and make careful note of whoever, or whatever, defiled the monastery.

A small island has recently asked the paladins to help with building a new village on it to call home. Since they are a small group of colonizers who want to build a simple life for themselves, they need a bit of help.
Help the newly settled villagers build several new cabins to live in. The villagers have also requested small plots for personal gardens and a sturdy well for fresh water to be constructed. If those projects go well, they’ll request help in building a lighthouse and windmill as well.
They can be made out of any materials that the island might provide, so mostly wood, plant fibre and stone. The materials will have to be collected from the island itself, processed into working materials and then used to build.
In return, the villagers will pay the paladins in Seafarer's Cowries which is their own special currency that they can use to purchase goods and services on their island.

To ease tensions and views on the paladin armada, the armada is hosting an open house gala of sorts on Eltrut. While it won’t be advertised as an entire event, the gala will be open every night of the month to invite locals and travellers alike to come and enjoy the paladin armada’s hospitality. Come and enjoy the party and eat and drink to your heart’s content.
The armada only asks that the participating paladin officers (that’s you) dress up in their best host attire and to go around schmoozing the gala-goers. Flatter them, flirt with them, let them touch, and show the entire audience what wonderful and good-looking hosts that the paladin armadas can be.
While the branding issue can still be an issue here, the armada does caution gala-goers to be aware of who might be coming and going.

Rumour has it there’s a legendary treasure hidden deep within the mountains of Nogard. This treasure is said to be exceptionally rare and valuable—enough to grant the finder a lifetime of luxury.
But Nogard’s mountains are notoriously foggy this time of year. The mist grows so thick you’ll barely see a few steps ahead. To make matters worse, the region is crawling with opportunistic pirates who are also on the hunt. Between the treacherous cliffs, shifting trails, and bandits lurking in the shadows, finding the treasure will be no easy feat.
Yet should you succeed, you’ll uncover a loot crate filled with hundreds of perfectly aged, preserved cheeses. Rare, delicious, and easily worth triple their weight in gold. Sell them for a fortune... or feast like royalty! After all, cheese is always worth it.

Bobbit Farm is looking for corsairs to help them reconstruct new animal pens and pastures for their animals after a particularly bad storm has ripped out all the trees and fences.
The pasture needs to be cleared out of rocks and storm debris and the land needs to be levelled again. New grass and flowers need to be planted and sturdy trees need to be added to help with sunshade. New fences need to be worked in, as well as new shelters for the animals when it rains. The farm owners have also requested that a drinking pond also be installed for the animals to enjoy.
Once that has been completed, the farmhands will invite the corsairs to introduce their livestock (chickens, pigs, cows, ducks, frogs) to the new pasture and to help hand feed them until they are acclimated to the new area.
If these projects are completed, the farm will pay the corsairs working on the job in Seafarer's Cowries which can be used to purchase fresh goods from the farm directly.

In order to show off just how amazing the corsair armada is, the corsair nobles on Nogard are hosting a shooting competition and is opening the invitation to all who might be interested. This competition is to encourage friendly competition and foster a better understanding of what it’s meant to be a corsair. Pick up your favourite gun or take one of the locally supplied ones and get shooting those targets! While this might not be an entire event, the shooting festivities will be help all month long.
Participating corsairs are encouraged to be gun ambassadors (that's you!). They will be responsible for helping the attendees to learn how to clean, aim and shoot a gun safely. Help by giving demonstrations and participating in the shooting games yourself.
While the branding issue can still be an issue here, the armada does caution attendees to be aware of who might be coming and going.

"The rumours of that mad alchemist are still going around. He hasn’t been caught yet. Worse yet, it seems that his latest project can now be found prowling around Eltrut at night. It’s something dog-like and human… And cries out, “Papa! Papa!” in the night... Please kill it."

Sometime at the start of the month, something strange begins to happen to unsuspecting riftfarers...
When innocently thinking of home, you might find a rift opening up near or below you. What you see inside might be the forest path you used to walk, your childhood hometown, or the school you once attended. It might be a place tied to deep emotion, or where something traumatic occurred, or where you had your first kiss.
Before you have time to react, you find yourself falling... and falling... and falling!! And instead of arriving somewhere familiar, you're suddenly randomly teleported to a completely different place in Escordvi that is similar to your thoughts of home. You might land in your bed, someone's unsuspecting home, an undiscovered beach, or even flung against the hull of a pirate ship. Maybe even on top of an unsuspecting friend!
No one knows what's causing these particular rifts to behave this way. Maybe someone has tampered with them? Cast a faulty ritual or something else entirely? There are some rumours that a man with white hair and a fancy hat or some such has something to do with it... Whatever the cause, it's probably worth looking into... Find out what you can and report back.

Because of the recent increase in potion making in the past month, resources are becoming scarce all over, stretching supplies and medics thin. While some ingredients will come by easily enough, others are from distant islands that can only be reached by a sturdy crew and those brave enough to deal with the dangers both in the water and on the island.
There is also an increased need in potion and medicine creation, and the number is far more than one person could handle. Those who are able can take known recipes to create various medicines and potions to be distributed. The only caveat is they must take care not to overharvest any particular ingredient as they do not want any of the more rare ingredients to become even more scarce.
Although not comprehensive, here is an example list of what is needed and what kind of dangers may be encountered (it can be assumed illustrations or pictures with some brief information are provided to aid in those searching):
Resource list
- Herbs. There are various rare herbs that are found in hard to reach locations that are potent for various healing remedies. From caves to high on top cliffs and mountains to deep in jungles and swamps, these herbs will not be easy to find or even collect. Often the areas they are in can be harsh environments, including weather, or have dangerous beasts that reside nearby. Some may even be "protected" by powerful beasts that happen to live around where the herbs are.
- Shells and coral. Certain shells and coral when crushed into fine powder can have potent medicine properties. While most can be easily collected around certain island beaches, others will require a dive underwater to find. Some also require it to be taken with the creature still inside, such as a clam or oyster. Coral that are harvested must also be done with care so as not to harm the reef, and some require finding bleached and dried coral that's washed ashore. While most waters will be calm, others may only be found in turbulent areas and there could be large crabs or eels in the way…
- Various animal parts. Some blood and other parts of wild animals, especially horns and tusks, are requested. The dangers are mostly contained to the creature itself, and they can be difficult to kill. For these they request a specific number and from specific areas to reduce risk of overhunting. They should be on the lookout for any poachers trying to take advantage of this request, and detaining any will add an extra reward.
All who help will receive several months' supply of medicine over time as well as beneficial connections to medics and healers. Recipes can also be kept as they are publicly known ones so there is no risk of learning any "secret" medicines. Anyone can also take a small supply of the materials, even seeds to try and grow themselves. This would actually be beneficial if they manage to increase the supply.

There are several islands requesting help against some feral hogs that have grown in population and are damaging local village crops and homes. The situation is also not as clear cut as it seems—the appearance of the hogs is a mystery as they are not native to some of these islands. The locals also speak of seeing boarheaded people with spears, making them believe there are boarfolk among the animals, perhaps even leading or directing them. There is now a concern that a tribe of boarfolk are attacking small islands, perhaps to expand their own territory by destroying the smaller, weaker villages and force them to leave.
For any crew participating in handling the situation, here are some objectives and general setting notes you can incorporate. Otherwise, be creative and make it however works best for your group!
Objectives
- Aiding villagers. From protecting to rebuilding, there are a number of ways to help affected villagers. Some may also need help with any injured.
- Culling hogs. Due to the aggressive and destructive nature of these hogs, especially as they are invasive species to these islands, is to exterminate them. Some could be spared, but they are hard to domesticate and relocation will only perpetuate the issue. But they are tough to kill, with many growing as large as oxes. Beware their tusks as they are quite sharp and they will not hesitate to use them.
- Salvaging. Fortunately, every part of the boar can be used for something, and while the locals will keep a larger share to sell, those who help will also be allowed to take whatever they want to sell off or use. Boar meat will especially be favored and markets and restaurants will gladly purchase any.
- Dealing with Boarfolk. The boarfolk are fearsome warriors, so talking and negotiating with them may be difficult. They speak mostly with their spears, earth magic, and fighting prowess. However, they are not all brutes and could be negotiated with. Their main problem is they need more land and because the world is made of islands, it's difficult for them to find larger areas suitable for their population. Perhaps if a solution could be made for them…
All who help will receive generous monetary compensation and whatever the local villagers are willing to reward. Failure to save a village will mean the island will have been completely overtaken and will either need to be abandoned or cleared out so that the locals can reclaim their land.

Hawk Jimins has caught wind of another group going after the treasure and is preparing to try and intercept. Who will find the treasure first!?
(Mod note: The group in question is the one formed under Cid who has gathered those who obtained treasure map pieces from the auctions and have figured out the potential location of the treasure. There will be a semi-closed log featuring all involved members, his crew the Hideaway, and any CR who would be interested in joining!)

Although a few keys have been found, the Snakefolk say there are still more. They now reveal a total of twelve (12) keys and so far eight have been found. The Snakefolk suggest that the remaining four could be hidden somewhere in Ocard, but other possibilities include the coliseum in Sarht's desert or perhaps in another desert location entirely. In the meantime, the Snakefolk have provided a cipher to translate any writings on the keys.
