ENABLE ME TIMBERS: OCTOBER 2023

YO HO HO EVERYONE! This is an ATP/EMP post where players can make cast requests for people to app into, or make ads for characters they are considering bringing into the game. It works like any other ATP/EMP, but we do have a few things to note down:

» Invitations are required to reserve and apply! But you can go ahead and post to the ATP/EMP post with a note you need an invite. You can either rely on a current player for help, or you can directly request an invite from the mods.

» We have a 50 player cap, but since this is only our second round and allow the public to request for an invite, we have temporarily upped it to 65 to give more breathing room.

» Players can only app 2 characters at once with a max limit of 3 in game. But since this is an ATP/EMP, feel free to put more if you're having trouble deciding!

» Our Game Info should cover everything you need, from basic premise summary to the nitty gritty details of the game mechanics. If you have any questions, post them there.

» Just want to make it clear that this is not a claims page. While we give priority to whoever is on the Reserve list, we do allow app challenges, and there is no rule against multiple players TDMing the same character. Of course we don't want there to be too much conflict, so everyone please be polite no matter who it is.

» TDM is Friday, October 13th. This TDM will double as our Halloween event, but we will include a traditional "starter prompt" for TDM specific characters. Everything will be carried over as canon!

» Reservations open Wednesday, October 25th.

» Applications open Wednesday, November1st.

Gale is a brilliant wizarding prodigy whose talents were so remarkable that in his youth, he attracted the attention of the goddess Mystra, who became his patron, tutor, and eventually lover. In a misguided attempt to prove his love and devotion and further his ever-burning desire to become the greatest and most learned wizard Faerun has ever known, he made a series of missteps in an attempt to return a missing part of Mystra to herself, and as a result, wound up getting his hands on some especially dangerous magic that absolutely shouldn't be in the possession of anyone. The architect of his own destruction, his actions caused Mystra to cast him out and he lost the greatest of his powers, and now walks around as a literal ticking time-bomb with a magical artifact buried deep in his chest with enough power to destroy the whole of Faerun, if things go especially poorly.

It is a Lot. He did, in fact, ruin everything with his hubris.

He considers himself a wizard on the road to redemption, and despite openly admitting that he is the villain of his own tragic tale, he himself is something of a do-gooder with a keen interest in aiding others and learning all the world has to offer. He doesn't know if it's possible to know everything about everything, but damn it, he's going to try. He's a congenial sort with a knack for puns, loves wine, occasionally writes poetry, and loves his personally curated library. He also sometimes eats magical items (although he has given that up at this point) and has a magical cat who is awesome.

They would ABSOLUTELY be besties! Two Paladins just doing some good deeds and being handsome while doing so :>

Xenk is going to love Tara and treat her with SUCH respect, I can't wait

You BET Tara is coming with, Gale would be so heartbroken to leave her behind. She has to come and make sure he's eating properly! He's her pet, after all. She will like Xenk, he's proper and surely knows how to treat a lady.

He'll bring her fresh beholder meat and buy her treats and toys ~~He's a cat man, why do you think he likes bards and rogues so much~~

Oh, he may be in the running for favored human... she'd never betray Gale, but she will WELCOME the attention!

Also, knowing Astarion has gossiped about Gale, he'll have to return the favor while he and Xenk are busy being handsome paladin buddies.

Oh, Gale, Xenk heard all about you and Mystra, he's SO curious!!! but they will absolutely gossip about poor Astarion, especially since Xenk will actually know Gale knows that he's a vampire so they can talk

Which reminds me that both Gale and Xenk have gross blood, wow they have so much in common!

IT'S SO HARD OUT HERE, being a beautiful man with disgusting blood, why it gotta be this way...

If Gale's a paladin, Jarlaxle will have simply no choice but to tease him, it's practically mandatory he doesn't make the rules.
