There are a lot of forgotten relics, forsaken lands, and forbidden arts lost to the waves and time. The Raiders of the Lost Arts are dedicated to finding, researching, and potentially utilizing whatever they can find. Legal methods of acquiring information and research materials may or may not be followed.

Claude/Khalid is a guy with a lot of secrets, but also likes to solve puzzles and mysteries. He's not very open about himself or what his ambitions are ( *cough*worldpeaceandacceptance*cough* ). Not someone who trusts easily, even though he carries himself with a light, almost breezy demeanor. Pretty easy to get along with though! Claude is the name that he had used while in his mother's country, Fodlan, but his birthname is Khalid and he's currently the king of his father's country, Almyra. The guy has a really sharp mind and purposefully comes across as a schemer so people don't always take him as seriously as they probably should.

- Get his wyvern! That's the first thing I am going to look into doing here with his reward points.
- This month he'll be looking for seeds or ways to get a hold of plants to start mixing poisons again; it's a hobby!

About:
G'raha is a Miqo'te with skills as a black mage, white mage, and a paladin. His red eyes are actually unnatural, since his bloodline contains what is called the "Allagan Eye." Long story short, an ancient empire collapsed and a princess gave the G tribe a red eye blinker so that they will be able to control Allagan devices. Through a series of events, G'raha locked himself up inside the Crystal Tower after pretty much believing that his entire adoptive family ( the Students of Baldesion ) were either dead or in an eternal sleep. Anything after that? Chat me up unless you're CS.
He's a historian by nature and those marks on his neck essentially mark him as an expert in his field. Not everyone is given those. As for his personality, he is energetic and excitable. A nerd that can go on about a topic for hours. A lover of heroes and adventure aaaaaand... His own worst critic. This boy legit believes that he constantly has to make himself valuable through what he is capable of doing. So yeah there's that.

Cloud is one serious awkward creature. He kind of has a prickly exterior just to hide the fact he's a little shy and awkward and doesn't really know how to socialize well. That's what being locked up in a jar and experimented on for like 4 years does to a guy. Thankfully with his canon point, Cloud is far more emotionally and mental stable than he has been in the past. Now that doesn't mean he won't come off as gruff or maybe even a little jerk-like, but he really can't help himself. Cloud really is a kind person and loyal at heart and just wants to be able to protect people.
Right now he has a crew and an adopted child that's not really a child. Cloud's a pretty busy guy and easy to get coaxed into doing things.

About: At his most basic, Roxas is the what happens if you take the protagonist of Kingdom Hearts, Sora, and put him on mute. He's an oddity in the world, but has finally fought through trials and tribulations to be his own person. And then he ended up in a pirate world just before he could start figuring out his life. It's been a time.
But overall, he's a friendly kid whose walls come down easily enough. Though watch out for that short temper.

Whale Helpers: I kiiiind of want Vince to do what he does best and target some buyers, and if I can get him together with another sneaky type they could set up a meet in Eltrut under the pretence of a meeting. Two problems though: Vincent only has the slightest idea that whales are being hunted, and absolutely doesn't know the names of any hunters that've been caught. If he can meet someone that has some skin in this, that would be wonderful.
Also I'm very interested in raiding site locations! With the above caveats. Vince will need to know about the operation, and will need to know a location before he's raiding anything. Help me out. Pwease?

About: Azul is a pretty boy based on the Disney Villain Ursula from Little Mermaid. As such, he is an octomer that is on the surface friendly and helpful, but in actuality can be rather greedy and more interested in building up wealth and power through his business ventures and magical contracts. That said, since he is new here, he is going to be trying his best to play nice so that he can build up some rapport and investigate the best avenues that will allow him to return home... but not be too entirely opposed to still making some money on the side and opening up his cafe/consultation office Mostro Lounge from back home here as well.
Also, Azul is an octomer: his true form is that of a mermaid with octopus features. As such, he is able to swim farther/faster, breathe underwater, enhanced grip-strength, and has the use of his tentacles to grab and lift objects. He despises his octomer form due to his insecurities regarding his appearance, so he will try to avoid being seen in this state very often.

MANTA Board: He is participating in the Advent Calender submissions, but not for himself: he's gone and submitted his fellow castmate Leona because the guy went and submitted him without asking first, so this is mildly petty retaliation. He's also potentially being dragged out to see what the Squid Pro Quo quest is and promptly being annoyed about it lmao, but otherwise I can throw him at other quests if anyone wants him somewhere specific!

About: Cyrus is a thirty year old professor with a deep and powerful love of all things knowledge, from learning about anything and everything to teaching and sharing that knowledge with others. Insanely curious and wildly effusive about it, Cyrus is deeply passionate and it comes through in all of his... everything. If you can think of something that is even remotely scholarly, he loves to do it. If there is something in the world he doesn't know, he wants to learn it. He loves to solve mysteries, deduce facts about people from observation (with varying levels of success) and of course, he loves loves loves to yap.
Important to know also is that Cyrus is like, insanely charming, to the point that he gets scolded by one of his party members and one of his NPCs because he does not seem to realize the effect that he has on people with his words. He is both super genuine and very eloquent and also completely oblivious to things like feelings directed towards himself and/or his neighbor's house being on fire (because he was reading a book.) Real 20 Charisma, 20 Intelligence, 2 Wisdom kind of guy.

About: The personification of the ship USS Enterprise, brought to life by something called a Wisdom Cube. Her canon is kinda wacky and a trip to get into.
Enty is the second oldest of her two sisters, Yorktown and Hornet. She enjoys just kind of enjoying life whenever she can. So far, this has basically felt more like a vacation than anything. Coming from a world based off of our own and set against the backdrop of a pseudo-WW2. Enty's seen quite a few of her friends, and both sisters, perish (don't worry they got better, kind of). Additionally, she has been wounded plenty of times in the past as well. And while she smiles and does her best to be helpful! Some things won't fully heal.
Enterprise tends to work a bit too hard at times and enjoys going all out whenever possible, sometimes to the point of near breaking. She's gotten better at self-care but is still kind of working on it. She also tends to eat junk in place of a healthy meal and is quite fond of her medal collection (she is quite sad that she doesn't have it here).

About: Known by his famous childhood name Kintarou (金太, Kintarō), he was one of Minamoto-no-Raikou's Four Heavenly Kings. There are many legends about him, but no historical records to support them. He is the son of Raijin as a red dragon, and his mother is a cannibal mountain witch living on Mount Ashigara (足柄山, Ashigara-yama). Kintoki was raised with the strength of a monster, fighting and killing beasts in the mountain. Eventually, his mother, an ogress, was vanquished by Usui Sadamitsu, but Kintoki, taken to Minamoto-no-Raikou, was taught the way of man, and became his retainer. He participated in many hunts for demons as one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Yorimitsu. He is famous for the episode of the battle against Shuten-douji on Ooe-yama, where he disguised himself as mountain priest, drugged Shuten-douji's alcohol and struck him down. In that episode, he fell in love with the demon Shuten-douji disguised as a beautiful girl, and then had to carry this burden for the rest of his life.

About: Application!
Miriam's a young woman who's seen and been through some shit, but hasn't lost her kindness or sense of justice. Sure, she might be full of demonic rocks, but she's using that power to do good things. She wants to be helpful and prove that she's still human, let her be helpful!!
Those roses and petals on her aren't tattoos; they're part of a cursed crystal that lets Miriam use said phenomenal demonic power, but will eventually turn her into a crystal statue and kill her, or corrupt her mind and delete her sense of self and free will. Either or. The curse's spread is currently halted, but using her power too much or absorbing too many Shards (fragments of a demon's power) at once could cause it to start advancing again. So Miriam's in a constant balancing act of needing to use her powers to best help others but not so much that she crystalizes. No pressure.
Abilities: For canon ones, she's got all the ridiculously OP abilities of an endgame Castlevania protagonist—which she's usually fairly mindful about using, with such severe consequences for their overuse. She can do so much shit, though.

This month is probably going to be more chill for Miriam; she's been doing a lot of intense stuff and needs a decompression break, which for her still means doing her protecting people from monsters and unpleasant things job a bit less intensely. But she's still going to spoil some orphans with gifts. I'm going to continue backtagging Farplane threads, though!
MANTA Board:
Worth a Thousand Words—Miriam's already been submitted to the calendar by a small excitable child.
Sew Not a Problem—She's absolutely helping to make nice things for orphans and checking up on those afflicted with cursed rocks like, yesterday.
Whale Helpers—Miriam's been focused on the Disguise and Deliverance aftermath, but hasn't been in the loop for this quest yet. If someone mentions the crystal ""statues"" found in a poacher's mansion she'll come smashing through the wall again.
CR Dreams: Friends, sparring friends, music friends. She's reasonably good with a piano, and has brought one into the Seventh Heaven bar. It's available for anyone to play if they're interested, not only crewmates—though I'd also like for her to deepen CR ties with them too. She's a frequent Ring of Returning user and is often all over the place when the ship is docked.
