YO HO HO EVERYONE! This is an ATP/EMP post where players can make cast requests for people to app into, or make ads for characters they are considering bringing into the game. It works like any other ATP/EMP, but we do have a few things to note down:
» Invitations are required to reserve and apply! But you can go ahead and post to the ATP/EMP post with a note you need an invite. You can either rely on a current player for help, or you can directly request an invite from the mods.
» We have a 65 player cap.
» Players can only app 2 characters at once with a max limit of 3 in game. But since this is an ATP/EMP, feel free to put more if you're having trouble deciding!
» Our Game Info should cover everything you need, from basic premise summary to the nitty gritty details of the game mechanics. If you have any questions, post them there.
» Just want to make it clear that this is not a claims page. While we give priority to whoever is on the Reserve list, we do allow app challenges, and there is no rule against multiple players TDMing the same character. Of course we don't want there to be too much conflict, so everyone please be polite no matter who it is.
» TDM is Wednesday, December 13th. This TDM will double as our Winter Event, but we will include a traditional "starter prompt" for TDM specific characters. Everything will be carried over as canon!

Norton worked as a miner for most of his life. It's a lot of work for little pay, so he got a little desperate to strike it rich and climb up the social ladder. This led to him making some questionable choices, like setting off explosives in an unstable mine.
Which would explain the giant burn scars on his face.
He switched to prospecting after that, but then he got this strange letter promising him a fortune if he plays this strange game at a strange manor... But wouldn't it be better if he became a pirate instead? The bounties pay well, he gets to be in the ocean air instead of the dark mines... Why not let this fella into your boat game?

Love Between Fairy and Devil
I'm aware this is something of a long shot when the canon never quite got a grip in DWRP the way other xianxia media has, but I'd still be very happy to see you and I can promise that the game is super friendly to more obscure characters! Daqiang is currently a lone-canon warrior but I've been having a lot of fun with him. He's made a couple friends (not that he has friends), had his ego bubble popped a couple times (only helped a little), and is in the process of becoming the captain of his own ship with a whole crew that actually agreed to join him and everything despite knowing what a pompous jerk he is! That is to say: there's lots of opportunities for interesting and fun CR with a wide variety of characters and IC situations to throw yourself at!

Part-time bird lady, full-time menace; once the Boiling Isles' most wanted, Eda is a formerly powerful witch whose magic has faded due to her curse, which causes her to turn into a horrible Owl Beast every so often. But hey, she's learned to control it through self-acceptance and now has a cool harpy form, so it's a trade-off. Eda describes herself as "an agent of chaos" and is always up for some shenanigans. All the while, she also has a big caretaking streak and will protect people who need it. Probably with shenanigans. She has dabbled a little in piracy and considers pickpocketing an appropriate pastime. Basically she's the PG version of your drinking, gambling wine mom while also being a serious threat to the establishment. She spent a long stetch of her life living as an outlaw in the woods and has only recently started to make more interpersonal connections again. All in all, I'd say she is definitely a candidate for Corsair.

I AM APPING CHOPPER FOR REAL THIS TIME.... He's a reindeer who can shapeshift into different forms, and is also the doctor of the Strawhat Pirates!! With that being said, he can be rather sensitive and quick to panic at times, but he does his best to be brave when the situation calls for it... He's also pretty naive and kind of gullible in general and pretty impressionable. With the said, he's pretty sensitive to being called a monster, and can be a generally really loyal friend!

Delilah Bard is a young woman who spent the majority of her life living on the streets of London in the early 19th century, after a rough start. Even losing her eye as a child and replacing it with a fake glass one She started out as a thief in Gray London - a London with very little-to-no magic, often masquerading as a man to do her stealing, becoming known as the Shadow Thief. Then she met Kell, a traveler who introduced her to the wonderful and horrifying world of magic, even going so far as to hitch a ride into Red London. She's traveled and defeated powerful magicians in White London, and even helped defeat pure magic itself (I'd be taking her near the end of book 3, it's healthier for her and Holland). She's learned that she was also born Antari and is learning how to use this blood magic without killing herself.
All her life, Lila has wanted to be a pirate, with a ship of her own - and she worked on a privateer vessel (thinking it was a pirate ship). So this is honestly the most perfect of perfect games for her. She also earned herself a nickname of The Sarows - basically a horror nursery song, the kind mothers sing to children to make them cautious.
But Lila is not a person who trusts easily, and she upholds her own sort of code, rather than one set by others. She likes to be mysterious, and unpredictable, untamed like the sea itself. Has a beef with Holland but canon point helps that to not try to kill him every chance she gets. She's witty, and carries so many knives that are never enough, and says she'd rather die on an adventure than live standing still.
I'm going to be trying to juggle a third character here, so we'll see how I manage that.

Earlier this year I found out 7'2" NBA All-Star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar co-wrote a Sherlock Holmes pastiche about Sherlock's boringer older brother. I picked up the first book as a novelty, then my hand slipped and now I'm rping his oc OOPS!!! He will come with Mycroft Holmes because Do Not Separate.
Cyrus Douglas is from a prequel to the Sherlock Holmes stories set in the 1870s: Mycroft's in his 20s and Sherlock is a shitty teen. :") Cyrus himself is a former sailor (SO HE'S GONNA LOVE IT HERE!!), owner of a tobacco shop in London, and Mycroft's bestie/Watson-style partner. After a grave injury sustained during an adventure in his native Trinidad (guess who he was out doing Holmesian action movie bullshit with!), he's had to step away from the tougher aspects of his job, instead focusing on running a shelter for poor London youth. He hits all those choice Watson sidekick buttons: he's smart, brave, loyal, reliable, and also SO tired of bailing out two guys whose brains move at 500 mph all the time.
tl;dr widower dilf with boats and weirdo wrangling experience fits the job description, can he come sail pretty please...

points up at the blurb above me for background information because I got handed "hey did you know basketball legend KAJ wrote a really good Holmes series" and immediately had to go check this out.
This version of Mycroft Holmes is not the near reclusive background figure of main ACD canon, but a younger version of himself before his brother started seriously doing investigative work. Mid-20s, working for Her Majesty's government or trying to quit and failing, and with a penchant for trying to better the world while working in an awkward frame to do so. It always starts simple and then spirals - this man has had more near death encounters than someone really should, and he keeps aiming to collect more, often dragging his partner Cyrus Douglas into it. If the world would stop having deadly and convoluted conspiracies, he would shrivel up in boredom. While almost scarily smart, Mycroft is also still human, and at times he cares almost too much, though he'd deny it for twenty years. He wants nothing more than to see his brother and his friends well situated and out of harm's way, and life keeps throwing curveballs.
Being here would shatter his mind in terms of how the world works, being completely unmagical, but after a week of confusion he'd probably start trying to reverse engineer magitech, trip face first into a murder, or get kidnapped. Or all three, who knows. He's Paladin to the core in the sense of preferring order in the world, but can accept some chaos as a necessary force for change.

Astralin was basically set to be a prince when he was younger, but his family turned their back on nobility so that never happened. He's just a simple farmer now, but he's been through some shit in his childhood (basically kidnapping and torture). After he recovered from the ordeal, he ended up being really paranoid about people and tried to keep his powers under wraps. He's a prodigy of sorts, and comes from a strong magical bloodline so it makes him a target for people who want his powers. Homeboy doesn't catch a break because war breaks out in his world, and he's targeted by the person that started the war but managed to stay in hiding while helping the resistance. After the war, and shifting more toward modern times, he's very much a Dad and a Grandpa. He works under his granddaughter, Marie (who is the current headmistress of prestigious magic school), as a combat instructor of sorts. tl;dr he helps kids hone their abilities, while still being a farmer on the side.

If everything pans out for me the way I hope it does by the end of the month, I'm here to say I've been eyeing this game for Nami ever since I found myself onboard the One Piece hype train. I'd be bringing her in from the manga (canon point TBD).
Nami is a (relatively...) normal young woman with a passion for cartography and treasure. Her claim to fame is being the Navigator for the Straw Hat pirates, and while she's the more level-headed of the crew who tends to steer clear of danger whenever it can be helped, her cowardice is often put aside for either the right price or saving those she cares about.
She also has a really keen understanding of weather science. Thanks to her handy-dandy Clima-Tact (and cloudy
servantcompanion Zeus), she's able to manipulate the atmosphere around her to make it rain or zap people with thunder.no subject

Hello beautiful Escordvi, I'm Myco and would be a completely new player to the game! I intended to join the last app round but tragically forgot the app deadline. You hate to see it. ANYWAY this version of Theseus is from Supergiant's indie game sensation Hades, where he serves as the third bossfight of the Elysium stratum, attempting to prevent the player character Zagreus from escaping to the surface world. While he considers himself a hero and is ultimately well intentioned(-ish), he is arrogant, abrasive, self-centered, and one of the only characters in the entire game which Zagreus can never reach any sort of positive relationship with. What a guy! He has Lawful Stupid paladin energy in general so he's a shoe-in for the Paladin faction.

sanji is a pirate chef who has a good heart but might steer on the seemingly perverted side. he'll call any man an idiot and worship the ground any woman walks on. he tends to be all emotion, but he's got a steady head on his shoulders (when his eyes aren't sticking out of his head in heart shapes) and cares about keeping people fed, whether he likes them or not, having known the terrors that come with going hungry. he's also freakishly good at kicking people around to the point that his legs light on fire.
i'll be out of town when the tdm goes up but i'm looking to toss this blondie in when i get back!

Tilly is the adopted (we hope) tiefling ward of a particularly capricious green hag, currently tasked with aiding a rag-tag band of misfit adventurers in their quest to save the world from an apocalyptic cult. No, not those adventurers, or that cult. Wyrms, not worms.
She's a bit rough around the edges, unused to being around those not expressly visiting to make a deal with her dear Auntie or being outside her forest home in general, and perhaps not the best example of a druid given her fondness for necromancy and her weird symbiotic mushroom infestation. To whit, she's rude, secretive, childish, and above all else, utterly selfish to the core - but she made a promise to at least try to be better then that, and the best way to learn how is to examining how normal people interact. Sorry in advance.

Known as the Walking Arsenal, Lady is a skilled devil hunter. She's also probably one of the only human ones around and because of that she relies on using a lot of guns to get the job done. Kaveh's oft talked about roommate in the flesh. May or may not have the keys to a house that's been left behind in Teyvat. May have discovered that he is suspectable to getting seasick upon arriving here
because I think its hilarious.Likes reading, aggravating Kaveh and long walks on the beach. He knows perfectly well how to be cordial but does not bother to do so unless you either A) have something that interests him or B) have been known to be nice to Kaveh. Other than that he's not going to bother with you.
Aside from being a now present thorn in Kaveh's side Alhaitham will probably be interested in any and all mechanics that the world runs on and will make attempts to understand it, though results will obviously vary. Other than that he will just vibe and probably make everyone wonder what the hell he and Kaveh have going on. (Spoiler: Neither of them know as well.)

You remember how a few years back, kids were using 'default fortnite skin' as an insult? Yeah. That's Ardbert. You've seen an Ardbert before. We've all seen an Ardbert before, for the 0.13 seconds it takes to get into the character customisation menu and make something more interesting. Like, with cat ears at the very least.
Kind-hearted, well-intentioned and significantly better with animals than with people, Ardbert spent his life going around being the player character in a critically acclaimed mmorpg. It was going okay (it was not going okay, really, but everyone was learning important lessons about their suffering and sacrifices having meaning) until he ended the world using the power of friendship, which is the opposite of what you're meant to do with the power of friendship.
Note: I'm going to be voicetesting him on the tdm. In case I don't end up having fun with him, there are alternatives.

Ranma is a young martial artist and the sole son to Genma and Nodoka Saotome. Before he could even walk, he was taken from his home by his father with a simple goal in mind: To make him a worthy heir to the Anything Goes Martial Arts name, and to make him a 'man among men' as promised to his mother. He was put through the wringer for sixteen years of nonstop fighting, training, anything to hone his skills and potential no matter how grueling and demanding they were. Sixteen years later, his training was coming to a close, but Genma had one final exercise in mind. The two Saotome men swam the seas of Japan all to reach China, which housed the mystic training grounds Genma planned to end Ranma's training at: Jusenkyo.
... Unfortunately, Genma's an idiot who doesn't plan or think things through and has a habit of dragging Ranma into messes. Because it never occurred to him that maybe he should've waited to actually learn the language of another country. Then he would've learnt that Jusenkyo wasn't just some training ground, but was also cursed. Whoever fell into any springs would be cursed to take the form of whatever drowned there. The two men trained and ignored the warnings of the guide, resulting in both of them being knocked into springs. Genma fell into Shonmaonīchuan, or 'Spring of Drowned Panda', and Ranma fell into Nyannīchuan, 'Spring of Drowned Girl'. Afterwards, Genma dragged Ranma back to Japan, taking him to Nerima for something he also neglected to mention to Ranma all his life: He's going to be engaged to the daughter of Genma's friend.
From there, any sense of normalcy came to a screeching halt for Ranma and his life took a turn for the unordinary, where chaos, destruction and bad luck follow Ranma wherever he goes. Rivals, engagements, magical artifacts or beings, etc. all started popping up to make his life a little less boring. Sassy, prideful, and though friendly has the social cues and tact of a brick, Ranma has been working on curing his curse, and continuing to improve his craft and become one of the greatest martial artists. So far? Only one of those have come true.
Heya, I'm Wahoo! I'm still new to DW RPing and have only started actually doing things here a couple of months back, so I apologize in advance if I mess anything up. Mostly been sticking to memes, but I've been testing the waters of actually trying to find a game to put my bundle of messes into. I'm hoping to throw this pigtailed jerk into a game, and this looks like the perfect one to unleash this walking catalyst on to make people's days a lot better or harder in a good way, and I make no apologies to anyone who have the misfortune of interacting with in the future (or already have on the TDM) with this jerk.
