Ahoy, mateys! Here be the monthly Activity Check!

Please check our Activity Check guidelines on our Game Info page for complete details, but here is the quick list of what you need to know:

» Only threads dated from April 1st through April 30th count towards the month's activity. (With the exception of certain backdated threads, read the linked AC guidelines for more details.)

» Activity requires one thread of at least 5 comments. The comment count is from your character.

» Any thread counts, including those made within your own entries and subthreads within your own toplevels. Individual entry posts do not count, only the threads within the posts. TDM threads with non-game characters will count.

» Continuation threads are considered as part of the previous thread so they count as one thread not two. For the sake of ease, we would like the two threads linked together.

» You are exempt from any checks for hiatuses that last for over 21 days. Anything less and you'll still need to submit your AC unless there are other circumstances.

» Because we are a capped game, there is no strike system. If you do not make the AC requirements, you will be cut.

» Bonus AC points: All extra non-quest threads not used for AC will be worth 2 extra points that can be used for reward redemption. Please check our Rewards page for more details.

There will be no warnings. All submissions are due Thursday, April 30th 11:59PM US Eastern.

EXTRA FIELDS: This is not required and completely optional, but included in the submission form are two optional fields: Extra and MANTA Board Posting.

For the Extra field, this is just a space for players to note anything that occurred in their threads that they think might be fun for us to know. So if something particularly interesting happened (for example: discovering a new creature or location, an old artifact, or perhaps a character has stolen something), we highly encourage players to jot them down! Who knows, we may even find a use for it… In addition, we may ask players to submit certain activity related to an event.

You may also submit MANTA board requests to be included in the upcoming board. We will try to add them immediately, otherwise we'll save them for the next Board or a time we deem fitting. If you don't have one in mind at the time of AC, you can post it later to the upcoming Captain's Log announcement.

• For Festival Preperations, Turo took Cid with him to a merfolk 'stacked' village/town that he has been in trade with, they will help with the festival for Enysos. At least the younger ones that can spend more time near the surface will.
↪ Shipwreck items from the deep will be offered for décor; lanterns, fancy plates and dishes, etc.
• Found and kept a handful or two of sunstones and moonstones for study.
• Had friendly encounters with a few of the Lunatenders.
• Due to some travel, Turo encountered a weather relic fragment and after it has seemingly been sealed has chosen to help study it.

MANTA Board Posting: Cosmo Conservatory Adoption Event; the reward is free snacks, and up to 6 get a pup.

Due to a heavily pregnant Pengi being dropped off anonymously at the Cosmo Conservatory sanctuary a few months ago, there are six(6) Pengi pups up for adoption. People are encouraged to come by and play with them, and even meet the healed and now three-legged mother for play—but only the pups are lined up to be taken. Pengi are usually kept on fishing boats, as they will help herd fish into nets and keep other creatures away which prevents unwanted tangling; excellent swimmers due to that tail and long body. Friendly and playful.

Bounty: Big Bear!
A rather nasty, large Bear has made itself known on the island of Hero's Rest. While it's been living deep in the woods, it has a very bad attitude and would certainly eat a moogle or any other creature that wandered near it. Given a bunch of reckless teenagers live on the island, it should probably be dealt with in some manner. Either through capture and relocation, or otherwise.

Updates for the Lighthouse plot: The investigations are still ongoing, but the next major phase of this plot will be fairly action heavy, so I think June may be a better month for it so as not to conflict with the next phase of the Nilatast storyline.

The missing villagers are still being tracked, but more clues have been uncovered; the red seaweed attached to their boats led one team through a denser sargasso sea, where a group of aggressive lionfish mer were found to be lurking in it. They might have answers if they can be convinced to talk, but something’s...off. Occasionally they’ll freeze in place, then abandon what they were doing to all swim off in a certain direction. Perhaps the villagers went that way, as well. Back at the village, the remaining damaged fishing vessel was found to be trapped with a sealing circle—the kind usually meant to contain magical entities and demons. -PASSIONITE ARMOR- (16 pts.) A bracer that harnesses the fires of one's conviction to temporarily boost the power of one ability. Once expended, the bracer will need a month to recharge off of the wearer's latent vibes.

Other Items
-EARRINGS OF BONDING- (24 pts.) These earrings come in two styles: a custom flower of your choosing or a simple, yet elegant cuff. Each earring can store one memory and can be given to a person of your choosing. That memory can be viewed by the recipient from the point of view of the memory's original owner and the emotions felt in that moment can be keenly felt by the wearing of the earring. Once viewed, that earring will attune to the recipient and cannot be shared again or overwritten.
