Quests are separated into five categories and all have flat point values: General (4pts), Corsair (4pts), Paladin (4pts), Bounties (6pts), and Specials (12pts). Crew quests are listed under "Specials" and are worth the same amount of points (12pts). Although these quests are intended for established crews, non-members are allowed to assist if the crew invites them. However, non-members would only receive 6pts. Similarly, characters helping opposing armada quests will only be rewarded 2pts for participation unless specified otherwise. Special quests won't always be available so it may appear blank at times. These can range from group quests such as for special ship upgrades or island related quests, or they could be special event quests. All quest points can be used for the Rewards Shop.
If you wish to submit a quest, comment in the appropriate field during Activity Check with the quest written and we'll add it to the next month! Crews are also still allowed to make their own quests without our approval, but if uncertain players can comment here about them.
If you have any questions regarding any current quest, comment to this entry.
Reports are coming in about a haunted estate somewhere on Eltrut that has been causing issues for the locals in the area. Reports of flickering shadows, eerie screams, breaking glass and more coming from the inside of the shadowy mansion. Some think it might be the reminisce of Eloise Blacktide’s shadow looming over the mansion. Others think it might be something else. Others say it might even be a spirit of death.
Stranger still, a report from a local hunter says that his hunting dog seemed to be more frightful of the mansion than him. He says that the dog appeared to be seeing things that he couldn’t see, watching the mansion for long periods of time and even barking at shadows on the mansion walls.
The theory is that canines (and felines) have a stronger sensitivity to whatever is haunting this mansion. Investigate the mansion with your canine friends to see if they can sense or see anything unseen. Or, use the provided polymorph potions to change yourself into a dog (or cat) temporarily to see if you can find what is haunting the grounds, yourself. Rely on canine senses, heightened smell and sound, and see what you can find....
A small (and we mean very, very, very small) travelling ship caravan has put in a request for help in finding their lost fleas that have somehow escaped their little ship the last time they docked on Eltrut. These little fleas are winged, furry bugs that are scattered throughout most of Eltrut, now. They can be found caged, stuck, or resting in precarious locations. So, it will be like searching for a needle in a haystack to find them all...
But if the request can be fulfilled and the fleas can be collected and returned to the tiny ship, there will be a nice reward waiting.
A curious item is being showcased as the best way to travel since someone invented the sailing ship. The person claiming this seems a little off their rocker, but they're taking any brave volunteers to go ahead give it a try. If you do you might be pleasantly surprised at the efficiency! Or just pleasantly motion sick.
Take this Hither-Thither Staff and give it a good honest try. The staff itself is able to create two portals with a flick of the wrist. The portals interconnect so you can travel from one portal to wherever you put the other one. Can you see now why some might think this will replace maritime travel?
It's a little unstable and might shoot you out of one portal at rapid speeds. And ... this prototype might have another problem with it. It also tends to summon chocolate cake and hurls it through the portal at rapid speeds, too… But a little cake shouldn't stop you? Give it a try!
Crust Station, the beloved restaurant and bakery famous across the seas for its irresistible sweet and savoury pies, is ready to experiment with bold new flavours! While their classics are still crowd-pleasers, the bakers believe it’s time to push beyond the ordinary. And they are looking for others to help come up with and taste test some unique pie ingredients to bring a new twist to their bakery fare.
Use and test ingredient from all over the seas and Leviathans to see if you can come up with a tasty new pie. Or even use ingredients from other worlds (or past quests) to see how well they’ll bake. who says moogle meat pies aren’t delicious? Try using Eltrut’s famous pickled cucumber-tomato hybrids or Nogard’s spicy dragon peppers to see if they’ll bake into a pie! Or even some of Elah’s famous sharkfin meat from their local fishers to bake into a meaty one. Anything goes!
Local fisherman has begun reporting that recent catches of fish and some of the surrounding waters of Eltrut are showing signs of some kind of black ink contamination. Further investigation has also brought up sightings of strange mutated sea creatures attempting to leap or crawl out somehow from this water known as Phantoms, not unlike the ones that appeared months ago. Once again, they seem drawn to anyone filled with negativity magic, no matter how big or small, and anyone exposed to them long enough will suddenly start to drip ink from their eyes like tears. Witnesses say that victims of these eventually turn into the same creatures as well, spreading an inky miasma in their wake.
Do your best in stopping these creatures from spreading out or try to discover the source of the contamination/a solution to remove this ink substance so that the fish and water are returned to normal once more.
Finneas Chartwell, an up-and-coming cartographer sharkfolk, is requesting help in investigating a newly discovered island. He has no name for the island just yet, but he needs help in charting the new island and everything on it.
At first glance, the island seems gentle and inviting. Smooth grey beaches slope into calm waters, and low stone cliffs are sprayed by constant mist and pale sunlight. The air smells of salt and kelp, and the wind carries a deep, soothing hum, like distant waves echoing through caverns.
After a few days, explorers will notice they prefer cooler air and shaded rocks. They begin to enjoy lounging together in lazy groups, basking silently for hours. Food tastes different too… Raw fish and shellfish become especially satisfying, while other meals feel strangely unappealing. And slowly… explorers will start to forget what they were doing at all, wanting to bask on the icy cools more than doing any real work.
The island changes you. It seems to make you lazy like a walrus.
Explore carefully and do your best to chart the island without any mistakes. And try to fight off the terrible urge to procrastinate and sit on your butt and eat raw fish all day…
Due to the recent winter storms (and inky issues) there have been reports of several food shortages on many of the smaller inhabited islands out at sea. They often rely on the bigger islands and Leviathans for trade and foodstuffs shipments, and those have almost completely stopped thanks to the out of character storms. A distress call has been put out to the paladins on Elah to help send supplies and foodstuffs to the smaller islands that have been suffering from these food shortages.
Put together care packages of food and other supplies and get them delivered to the smaller islands and villages that need the help. Just be careful because travelling the seas this month is rather precarious thanks to the lasting winterstide storms. The oceans will have rapid icy waves and snow will fall almost constantly the father away from a Leviathan that you sail.
But as paladins... A call for help cannot go unanswered.
Everyone knows about Nogard’s giant skeletal body and skull. When Nogard is at rest, the giant Leviathan turns to bone to conserve energy. But with the recent icy storms, Nogard has had an issue with being able to park itself to get some decent rest. Nogard just can’t stop shivering. Naturally, that leaves the established settlements on Nogard suffering from Nogard’s constant aching and shivering earthquakes.
The corsairs have come up with a unique idea in order to warm Nogard up so that it can stop shivering. They’ve decided to climb up into Nogard’s Skull to start a few giant bonfires in order to warm the dragon bones up … from the inside.
It’s not often that it’s needed to go trekking up into Nogard’s giant bones. But at this rate, if the shivering doesn’t stop soon, the earthquakes will cause too much damage to the main ports and cities. Join the expedition into Nogard’s Skull and bring supplies with you to burn inside of Nogard’s Skull.
There's a rather cheeky healer on Nogard who's brewing what he proudly calls a “life-changing” potion. He swears he found the recipe in a dusty old book and insists the result will restore your vigor, put a bounce back in your step, and make you feel like your boots suddenly weigh less. According to him, it's strong enough to rekindle fires you thought had burned out long ago (wink wink). Naturally, such a miraculous concoction requires a few very special items. And he's hoping you're brave or curious enough to fetch them.
He is specifically looking for a jar of seahorse drippings, a box of assorted mated-bird feathers, a shaker full of monkey kisses, and a box of cat callings. Vague? Yeah! How you get them is up to you. Time to get creative!
If you can acquire these the requested ingredients he'll happily gift you a copy of some new reading material. And maybe a voucher for the potion once he's done brewing it.

Some residents may recall an incident many months ago involving peculiar rifts that had suddenly appeared when a person thought of their home, and upon coming in contact with them, would find themselves suddenly teleported to a random location. It seems that these rifts have reappeared once more at the start of the month... except, they appear to be acting significantly different from the last time they appeared...
Namely, instead of teleporting anyone who touches it to a random place in the world, there's now something trying to come out of the rifts where they appear instead. Strange black tentacles made of shadows crawl out, flailing wildly for a time before slipping back inside the rifts that will then close behind them. If left alone, nothing will happen, but reports are coming in that anyone who makes the mistake of touching one of these tentacles will suddenly have them attempting to go into a person's mouth or wrap around and squeeze a person's chest hard enough that it either removes or causes a person to cough out what looks like a glowing orb of light. This "orb" is actually a person's powers, magic, ability, or trait that the person values the most--this can range from your character's ability to summon lightning or whatever unique skill they have, or even down to a person's beauty if that's what the character values the most about themselves. Upon retrieving this orb, the tentacles will retreat back through the rift, the rift closing behind them after stealing a person's most valued aspect like this. (Anything regarding emotions or memories appears to be safe.)
Find out more or do what you can in order to stop these strange slimy thieves and try not to become a victim yourself!
