QUICK UPDATES
YO HO HO!! It's time for the spooky month—and the deluge of fall and holiday breaks that may toss players in for a loop. If you feel you need to hiatus, go ahead and submit them!
We'll also use this as a reminder that December will be check-in only, with the possibility to earn free passes for 2026. Those who submit activity as normal in December will be granted the pass. Free passes expire at the end of 2025 and will not carry over! So if you still have them and know the next few months will be busy, consider using your free pass! If there is anything else that might come up that may affect your activity, please be sure to reach out to us ahead of time! Remember, it's always better to be safe early on and not get caught in a panic later!
We have updated the Calendar for important dates, but here is a quick heads up on what to expect this month:
The Manta Board has been posted with new and updated quests! A few of last month's quests have also carried over, so if you didn't have a chance to do them last month, you have another chance. The Bread Island Special Quest has a big update regarding handling the curse!
Our Rewards page has been updated with a few new things for the month!
Finally, applications open in November and player invitations are open! Direct mod requests will remain closed until we have ten or more open slots. Remember, new players must receive an invitation from a current player, and players are limited to one invite. Current players must make a request on the Invite Request page and have it accepted before the new player can reserve.

EXTRA NOTES
Here is a recap of a few things that occurred last month.
» Has Dame Cordelia Stitchbane's pearl been found? While that much is unknown, there are suspicions and whispers floating about that the pearl might actually be an egg. Miss Stitchbane vehemently denies that it is—it is her precious jeweled pearl! And it must be returned to her as soon as possible!
» Many had helped the poor beached Merfolk, with Paladins helping to stave off poachers and attackers. Those who did not make it were put to rest safely. MANTA thanks those who assisted, as no one wishes to incur the wrath of the sea again...
» More discoveries have been made in Nilatast. Emet-Selch found a robot that he has begun to dismantle, and will be using that knowledge with the hope to further develop advanced robotics in the future. Erichthonios has been treating captured and injured merfolk with moth dust and releasing them once they have healed.
» The Hideaway crew and friends, as well as other crews, had gone out to investigate the aptly nicknamed Bread Island. Several things about this strange, cursed island were uncovered:
• Sherlock believes that the power radiating outward from the centre of the island, and the closer one gets to the source, the stronger the transformation.
• Cid and Benedikta discovered an oven that kept producing dough, as well as people who had been stuck and transformed into bread within that house. They blew it up.
• Kaveh and Cid found suspicious mold in the water mill...
It is clear that while much has been found, there is still a lot to uncover about this mystery. Especially as this "curse" seems to be spreading… Check out the updated Special Quest! For those who ate the bread, they will be showing side-effects over the next month. These range from increased craving to eat bread, an unconscious act of baking lots of baked goods, to even some signs of transformation. The intensity of the side-effects will be left up to the player! Although remedies have been made to stop the spreading, there is no complete cure to return people to their original forms just yet.
» The treasure hunt results are in! The Paladins won a total of 56 points, and the Corsairs won by a landslide with a whopping 102 points! The reward? Well, besides the incredible teamwork everyone showed, winners get bragging rights! Really, the real reward were the treasures and the friendships found along the way. What a nice sentiment. (On a more OOC note, the top scores submitted for both were Kaveh on the Paladins with 28 points, and Bennett scoring 24 points for the Corsairs!)

GHOUL'S MOON
It's that fun time of year again~ For those unfamiliar, here's our usual copypasta:
The answer to that question is—no. No it will not. The majority of the month will be full of fun festive cheer, but towards the end? Well that's a surprise…
Like previous Ghoul's Moon festivities, starting on October 25th, Eltrut will be decked out in decorations to fit the spooky mood. Ghosts will fill the streets and hand out treats and kisses, as well as play fun tricks on unsuspecting folks. There will be festival fare, including all things pumpkin, ghost stories, and a witch's market. Of course, it would not be Ghoul's Moon without giving tribute to those who have passed.
However... On the same night that the festivities begin, everyone will receive an invitation to the Ruby Reception Gala in Skullrock Isle's manor on the night of October 30th. Who delivered it? Was it magic? No one seems to know. In between Ghoul's Moon festivities, this gala promises a night of food, drinks, and dancing, not so unlike previous Ghoul's Moon parties. The theme: heaven and hell. Come out to Skullrock Isle as it promises to be a great time, as always!

Nothing strange or suspicious will happen here. No… Course not. 🙂
So what is "Ghoul's Moon" in Escordvi Lore? It is believed that in the ancient past, this was the time when ghosts, ghouls, and undead appeared and became the most active. Now, such entities do exist in some capacity, but it is said that in late October when the moon turns red, so red that it makes the ocean waters look as if it is filled with blood, these creatures go on a rampage and attack the living. Yet it was found that they were weak to sweets and could be pacified, so festivals to try and appease the ghouls were thrown. However, although the moon and oceans still turn red, such attacks or appearances haven't been seen much in centuries, so the old traditions fell away and now everyone just throws a festival to keep the spirit of it all alive.
But recent years have seen a change, so while festivals are still thrown, more vigilance has been taken. Would this year pass safely…?
