YO HO AND AHOY EVERYONE! This post is our catchall gathering place for all new and old players to meet and greet. Introduce yourself and the character you're bringing in, giving us whatever info you feel comfortable with! Don't forget to join the Discord server if you haven't already! The CR Workship is also available for you to post into or check out and try to plot with others on there. Be sure to read our recent Captain's Log for any important announcements.

First thing is first, please don't spoil yourself if you plan on playing the game. I promise it's worth avoiding spoilers as best you can. If you'd like, I've got a Spoilers Opt-Out. It's probably safe to interact with her if you've hit Act 3, even though her canon point is one of the two endings.

THAT SAID~ Maelle is a cocky, very reckless, kinda self-destructive, rather arrogant teenager with a tendency to run from her problems even if it means running off a cliff to do so. She's great! Totally stable, totally not delulu, average teenager. Yep.

She will be coming from Maelle's Ending where she has effectively saved a world, dragged Verso back from the dead and has started repainting Lumiere and its residents. Oh, and she's... pretty much condemned herself to death but that's a minor detail. She was on her victory lap when she got pulled here and she's not exactly happy about it. But! At least the initial crisis has already been dealt with, right? Right.

Also thank you to those who put up with me and this brat on the tdm. I am still working on tags but it's been really fun so far with all of the shenanigans c:

Hello Alex! Welcome to Escordvi and back to DWRP! I'm Heather, and I've just brought in this coffin grimlin here from Final Fantasy VII. His name is Vincent. I also have a Marvel comics character named Fantomex here and a Dragoon from the small indie game Final Fantasy XVI named Dion.

Hello, hello! It's Mart, I'm bringing finally bringing a second in the form of Ben Starr Verso from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 into the game.

For those who don't know him, Verso is an expeditioner who has been living in the Contient outside Lumière for the better part of 60 years. Why does he look so young? Thank immortal magic because he stopped aging at some point despite being at least a century old. He is charming, witty, and far too mysterious than necessary, but he'll find some way for you to trust him in the end. It's going to be great.

Considering the game is rather new, and because of the complex themes it touches, I've created an opt-out if you prefer that I don't tag you with Verso. No hard feelings whatsoever.

I'd love to keep TDM threads canon, but if you would prefer otherwise, please let me know! You can contact me on discord at riyuji or riyuji for any handwaving or possible plotting. Feel free to add me on either, no need to ask.

Hi hello. It is me, Sheila, your resident Tifa and Benedikta player bringing in (yes, another. don't look at me) Final Fantasy (XIII) leading lady, Lightning Farron. She was also a model for Louis Vuitton and in a car commercial. So famous.

She's coming in from the end of the game, so right after she kills Orphan and before turning to crystal. For those who don't know her, she is ex-military, gone rogue after her sister got tattooed by the fal'Cie gods and turned to crystal, and set out on a mission to take them all down, in true dramatic FF fashion. At first glance, she's grumpy, cocky, standoffish, and brutally honest, but don't let that fool you. She's a true leader with a heart of gold, the big sis you never had (but don't call her sis), and an excellent partner to have on your side in a fight. She's like a very crispy marshmallow. With barbs.

Bringing her out of retirement and still shaking the dust off, so please be gentle! But looking forward to tossing her around at people! :) If you ever need to contact me, please do so via PM or over at crystariums!

Hi there! I'm kri and I'm bringing link from tears of the kingdom! He looks quiet but is actually a small, chaotic gremlin who cooks pretty good food and sets things on fire. He's coming in from midway through the Dragon Tears questline, so no major spoilers or heartache. He also has CRAU from Songerein, so there are a few people he'll remember. He's in the corsairs!

Hello (again)! I'm Bryo, bringing back Faris Scherwiz from Final Fantasy V! I was in the game for about a year and had to drop because of time being finite but now I am back! For those who didn't know me before: hello I am a botanist and a Trekkie and also if you want to talk about workplace organizing hit me up because it's the bee's knees and together we can beat the boss. I'm keen to reconnect with old CR that's still around and to make new CR. He's coming in from postgame (so about a year-ish after beating Neo Exdeath). Faris is technically a princess who got lost at sea and raised as a pirate, and also as a man, and that means that he has some Gender going on and also very few tools to deal with emotions that aren't directly related to being a pirate. But he's gotten a little better at expressing feelings in real words that humans use, sometimes, and at least he's less likely to try and physically run from his own emotions? Also he's got a not-so-secret altruistic streak and a soft spot for adventurous dorks of any age.

Hello, all! I'm Rynn and I'll be bringing in two characters: Sylvain Gautier from Fire Emblem: Three Houses (who is also a CRAU) and Varric Tethras from the Dragon Age games. I am excited to try them both out here and see what mischief they get up to, because they are both big troublemakers in entirely different ways.

About me:

I'm EST and my tagging time can sometimes be a bit sporadic as I'm a caretaker, but I tend to do a lot of my tagging in the early mornings or later in the evenings. Please feel free to friend me on chaneystarr, my plurk is mostly RP-related and I do a lot of my babbling on there, but I can also be found on discord under the same username if you want a more direct contact. I love gaming, reading, journaling, bingeing the occasional anime or cdrama, and being endlessly entertained by my two very dumb cats. Fandoms I've inhabited for a very long time include anything Bioware, Final Fantasy, Star Wars, WoW, and Hoyoverse games. I have a fondness for redheads, cinnamon buns, sassy troublemakers, and tragic characters who hide it all behind a smile.

About Sylvain:

He's got a reputation back home as a lazy, shallow playboy that he worked very hard to perfect over his teen years, but maturity, five years of war, and a stint held at a sex casino have brought a lot of perspective and character growth. He's actually gotten a lot better about not hiding everything behind a variety of masks and not letting himself be real with anyone around him and he's not quite so allergic to serious conversations and emotions anymore. Although those habits do still kick in on occasion. he's working on it. He'll be coming in as a Paladin, along with someone from his previous game (Basch) he was very close to, since they've become something of a matched pair after enduring everything together. He knows nothing about boats or living on the high seas so this is gonna be an adventure. (And he's kinda sad he doesn't get to be a pirate. Aren't those supposed to be the dashing ones on the high seas??) His original canonpoint was the Blue Lions route, just before the battle of Gronder, for those who are canon familiar, but he's also had about a year and half further than that from his time in his previous game.

About Varric:

Varric's a dwarven rogue whose story has been spread out over three separate games in the Dragon Age saga now. He'll be coming in from the very beginning of Veilguard, when he and a partner were in Minrathous to meet a contact with information for them, but then turned up missing. Coming from so late in the storyline, he's considerably older than he was in his earlier games, but he's still full of sass and energy. He's a flamboyant storyteller, a charming rogue with a silver tongue, an infamous published author, an information broker, an occasional spy, and a deadly shot with his unique crossbow named Bianca, who he sometimes talks about like a cherished lover (sorry if it gets awkward). He's coming in as a Corsair and he'll be joining a cast from a very vast span of time and a whole lot of secrets between all of them, so this will be interesting. Also dwarves back home can't do magic. or dream. So this is going to be a big adjustment for a number of reasons. Also he may or not be capable of swimming or just sinking like a rock, but I'm sure that'll be fine, right? >.>

I'm Valour, bringing in Erichthonios from Final Fantasy XIV.

I have been in community journal based RP for a good long while, with all the ups and downs that come with that. I'm a bit nerdy so if I go overboard with that feel free to request I dial it down a little.

I am immune to spoilers, by which I mean something getting spoiled for me never detracts from my enjoyment of a piece of media. Spoil away and ramble as long as you like about it.

Erichthonios is a character from the Pandaemonium raid questline in Endwalker. He's the son of none other than Lahabrea and an extremely intelligent woman named Athena who died in a ~*mysterious accident*~ in the course of her research... by which I mean it was no accident and it was only a mystery because no one told the then child Erichthonios the truth until he was an adult and Bad Things Happened.

He is currently experiencing a brief reprieve from Bad Things Happening, has finally gained friends (not one, but two!) and was making a solid attempt at sorting out his life when The Bottle Concept brought him here. Luckily he has his new gift with him -- a memento resembling one of said two friends -- to help keep his spirits up in this strange new world.

Yo, what's up? It's me, Heather, your resident Dion Lesage and Fantomex player, bringing in my 3rd character, Vincent Valentine from FFVII! He's from the OG storyline, has lived through Advent Children, and has just had a giant piece of materia ripped from his chest in the middle of Dirge of Cerberus (a game no one remembers, and no one really ought to).

He's very quiet. Sometimes he won't even actually say anything, but there will be a lot of narration, probably some unnecessary cape swirling, and bad assery, because tbqh he's much better at doing than he is at speaking. He doesn't like to get involved unless there's some form of personal investment and would really rather just go back to sleep...or disassociate. You know, whatever.

Oh, and did I mention he's the vessel for Chaos? The harbinger of the end times? Yeah. It's a thing. I'm really looking forward to throwing around this actually awkward semi-undead goth at everyone!

Hello! I'm Manda, and I'll be bringing in Saix from Kingdom Hearts.

I'm totally new here, and just coming back from an RP break that lasted... uhh I want to say 6 years? I RPed for years before that but now I'm shaking off the rust so bear with me if I seem to not know anything. That impression is true. I'm in PST and tend to be tagging mostly in the evenings after work. You can reach me via discord, where I am manda, and I also managed to finally get into my old plurk so I'm over at sidereal. As for Saix, well, he's the middle manager of Organization XIII. When Xemnas is like "We will collect fifty bajillion hearts and make Kingdom Hearts!!! Muahahaha" Saix is the guy who tells people where to go and what to do to actually make that happen. And they love him for it. (They do not love him for it.) But of course, that's not all to his story, and I've taken him from midway through Kingdom Hearts III - which means he's had a change of heart (get it) and is now in deep cover within the Organization playing a villain while quietly working against them in his own way.

Except that got interrupted and now he's here. Which is fine, except for all the unfinished business and all that time he was actually a villain (and then the part where he pretended to still be a villain and was really good at it). Anyway, it's complicated. Saix is: kinda cold, kinda mean, pretty smart, trying to be good in his own terrible way. He is going to Do His Best and it probably Won't Be Very Good. I'm looking forward to getting him out there!
