Quests are separated into five categories and all have flat point values: General (4pts), Corsair (4pts), Paladin (4pts), Bounties (6pts), and Specials (12pts). Note: characters helping opposing armada quests will only be rewarded 2pts for participation unless specified otherwise. Special quests won't always be available so it may appear blank at most times. These can range from group quests such as for special ship upgrades or island related quests, or they could be special event quests. All quest points can be used for the Rewards Shop.
For this month's board update, the quests have been updated to reflect progress from last month, with some carrying over as is.
If you have any questions, comment to this entry.

There have been reports of a strange sickness sweeping through some of the smaller towns on various Leviathans. The sickness appears in the form of thick thorny vines that wrap tightly around the wrist. This vine-like appendage seems to grow tighter and thicker over time. Eventually the thorny vines grow up the arm, to the shoulder, to the neck and down the rest of the body which tightens and tightens until it’s unbearable. It leaves behind painful, angry welts and bruises and pierces the skin with its sharp thorns.
The cause of the thorn sickness is still unclear but there have been suspicions that the sickness appears randomly and is highly contagious. And stranger still, if the victim indulges even in their simplest desires, the vines only grow faster.
A temporary cure to the sickness has been found but it isn’t exactly reliable. One cure is to cut the vine near the wrist and then burn the cut vine. It works but is generally not recommended due to leaving the victim susceptible to terrible infection. Now that this solution has been tested, some physicians and healers are doing their best to administer the cutting but it is leaving mixed results.
Perhaps a more permanent and safe solution can be found soon. Keep investigating and report anything back before the situation gets any worse.

Two months ago, an investigation was conducted on Crescent Isle about strange mangled creatures roaming about. There were rumours saying that the abominations were connected to a shady man that had been collecting all kinds of animal body parts from various different locations and markets. His intention with these animal parts is still dubious but we did learn that the alchemist seems to have a way to track the phases of the moon. And all signs point to this man using alchemy to meld together all of these animal parts to create horrific monstrosities.
Unfortunately, the man who has been melding these creatures and animals together has still not been caught. Because of this, several smaller islands and beachside villages have now been attacked by rabid, suffering alchemic-creatures. Several distress calls have been put out to both armadas for immediate help. Travel to these smaller villages and kill these monstrosities before the casualties start piling up.
The man responsible has to be stopped. While investigating, it has been confirmed that this man is related to another alchemist who had once been captured and executed for fusing innocent women together. So, while exploring these smaller island villages, find the man responsible and take care of him. Either arrest him for his ways, or take justice into your own hands...

Spring has sprung, and with it flowers and trees have been blooming at a rapid pace all over. Every Leviathan is blooming with bright colours and trees have exploded with lush green leaves and fruit blossoms.
It is said that a special tree, found only on Eltrut, blooms for just one night each year. During this rare occasion, the fruit tree adorns itself with stunning pink and red blossoms, but this fleeting display lasts only until sunrise. As dawn breaks, the blossoms close once more, preparing to bear fruit once again.
It has become a tradition to bring a loved one to this special tree during this blossoming night. Legend has it that if someone shares a vow under the branches of this tree while the flowers are in full bloom, the vow will be unbreakable, and any promises made will be eternal.
Take someone you love, friend or lover, to this special tree and share in a special promise.

There has been rumours that a buried treasure is hidden somewhere on Naughtilust. This treasure is said to be a chest filled with an insane amount of golden coins that could be worth the fortune of a lifetime. It has been a race to find this buried treasure, and Naughtilust has become a trampling ground for coin-hungry adventurers.
Attempt to find the golden horde. But be careful because some reports have come in that the treasure might be guarded by a slim, strange-looking creature with several monstrous heads attached to a slim cat-like body. Its eyes are filled with a cosmic, void-like magic that when stared into will turn its target into stone.
But for the glory and the coin, what’s a little petrification along the way? That hasn’t stopped other pirates before.

A very simple, very hastily written note has been left on the manta boards.
”Help!! Me precious pet chicken be lost at sea! I left her on me raft fer but a moment, and when I spun me head 'round, she be gone! I reckon she’s drifted off on her own, poor lass! She must be quakin’ in her feathers, scared outta her wits! I beg ye, rescue me fine birdie, or I'll be seeing the ol’ Farplane myself!”

Reports have come in that a baby whale has gone missing (again?) from a large flock of peaceful migrating whales far in the ocean. The reports contain sightings of corsair ships in the distance that may or may not have poached the baby whale directly from its mother.
Paladins have been scouting the waters for weeks but have not been able to find the missing baby whale or the shady ships. They’re starting to fear that the baby whale might be dead by now and its body sold by shadier black market corsairs.
Take up the charge to help find the baby whale (again?) before it’s too late. Or is it already too late...? How does this baby whale keep going missing...
Note: Due to current tensions between armadas, any corsairs found participating in this quest will be arrested and jailed for one week.

An SOS message in a bottle has been received from a small deserted island that has not yet been charted on any of the recent ocean maps. This small island is located extremely far north, where not many paladin ships have ventured to due to the high winds and dangerous whirlpools that have been sighted that way.
For any ships that are willing to venture out that far, the small deserted island is where a woman, alone and starved, can be found and rescued. Time is of the essence to save her.
The island is a simple island, with a collection of mountains, trees and pools of salty mineral water. There is nothing spectacular about it aside from the whirlpools surrounding it. But the island is also littered with strange stone eggs that seem inedible (or are they...? if cracked open and eaten, they are actually incredibly delicious). That can be extremely frustrating to someone who is lost and starving.
Attempt a rescue and maybe collect a few stone eggs for later research.
Note: Due to current tensions between armadas, any corsairs found participating in this quest will be arrested and jailed for one week.

Some of the paladin blacksmiths have created a new special armour for paladin officers to try out. These special armours are extremely durable in battle but are also very unique due to the fact that they look like sets of bones grafted to the body. For example, a skeletal spine of beautiful gold will be grafted to the back and neck.
The armour is in its last stages of development and needs to be tested. Get fitted for a set of fashionable bone armour and test them out with sparring matches outside. Test the durability of the armour against all forms of incoming damage, be it with swords, guns or magic.
If the armour can withstand it safely, the set may be kept free of charge. This time.
Note: Due to current tensions between armadas, any corsairs found participating in this quest will be arrested and jailed for one week.

While Nogard doesn’t have many places to store and archive books and documents, it does boast a large variety of rare bookshops. These shops are often the bread and butter of Nogard’s archiving and hub of information. Most people just have to pay to get the information they want.
Unfortunately, there is a gang of creatures that have been breaking into these shops and have been eating the papers and books. They are small, rectangular creatures with tiny teeth and an appetite for paper and words. And they are ransacking these poor shops!
The only leads anyone has on them is that they might have come from a paladin ship and they are eating a lot of sexy, smut novels...? Perhaps a paladin is sabotaging Nogard’s businesses? Either way, find these little creatures immediately and get rid of them!
Note: Due to current tensions between armadas, any paladins found participating in this quest will be put in public stocks for one week.

Rumour has it that there is a witch that lives on a remote island to the south. It is said that this witch grows a very special, rare herb called Witchdrop that is highly sought after. If consumed, the herb grants intense focus and speed for a short period, which is highly sought after by Nogard nobles. Although, all the side effect are currently unknown but the herb can cause some terrible disorientation after use.
Corsairs have been tasked with finding this remote island, sneaking onto it and stealing as much of this Witchdrop herb as they can from the witch’s gardens.
The island isn’t particularly remarkable. But it does have a very rocky landscape and can be hard to hike across it. There are also several varieties of lobster beasts that roam the island and the water, more than likely to protect the witch, her gardens and her home. And don't forget the witch's intense hallucination spells, as well. Corsair's beware.
Note: Due to current tensions between armadas, any paladins found participating in this quest will be put in public stocks for one week.

The competition is back again this year! The Naughty Gorgon tavern in Nogard is holding a Grog Brewing Competition. Whoever can create the next best pirate’s grog will have their beverage featured on the tavern’s menu for many years to come.
Use whatever ingredients you find fit, be it frog’s legs or sugar cane! So long as the grog gets people drunk as fast as possible the tavern doesn’t care how it might taste. But anything particularly tasty might have a hand up in the competition anyway! (Bonus props if your brew can also be used as lantern fuel.)
Alternatively, if you don’t find yourself a brewer the tavern is looking for brave corsairs to try the contestant’s various brews. Just make sure you have an iron-lined gut and a high tolerance for alcohol.
Note: Due to current tensions between armadas, any paladins found participating in this quest will be put in public stocks for one week.

As spring makes its way across Escordvi, the season is a special time for Eltrut. Not only is the giant turtle leviathan coming out of its hibernation, but the many turtle eggs that have been left on its back as well along many nearby islands are starting to hatch. This is a significant time for all of Escordvi, as according to a popular legend, turtles are seen as important creatures, even tying back to the world's very creation, from even before the Flood when land continents used to exist.
As the legend goes:
Gather 'round, dear sailors, and heed this tale spun from the ancient whispers of yore, when the world danced to a different rhythm, and wonders beyond imagining roamed the vast expanse. In the age when only the winds shaped realms with a breath, it was said that mighty turtles emerged, with shells as vast as mountains and eyes that held the wisdom of epochs, who roamed the barren lands. With a stride that shook the very earth, they journeyed to the heart of the infant world, bearing the weight of creation upon their ancient backs.
With each monumental step, they carved deep valleys and soaring peaks, until at last, weary but resolute, they plunged into the depths of the darkness, their colossal forms creating a tsunami of water in a final act of divine benevolence. Thus, from the steadfast actions of these celestial leviathans, the first oceans were born, teeming with life and mystery to find, covering the land from the beginning to the end. A testament to the marvels wrought by these first leviathans.
Now, we honour the leviathans of old, for they granted us the gift of exploration and the rhythm of tides that ebb and flow, the heartbeat of creation itself. And in reverence, we carry forth their legacy, by guiding hatchlings to the embrace of the life-giving waters and nurturing the cycle that sustains our beautiful world.
The turtles will be hatching over the span of several days, so it's an ongoing mission to make sure they all get to the ocean safely! Most turtles will actually hatch at night and will be attracted to light, instincts going towards the moon. But some nests will also hatch during the day. Regardless, there will be poachers and natural predators such as birds, crabs, and large fish that will take the opportunity for an easy meal, and while sometimes nature must take its course, no one will object or stop anyone from trying to protect the turtles from them.
Most nests can be found along the beaches formed around the edges of Eltrut's shell, and many have already been marked by conservationists and other enthusiasts. Help guard and ensure nothing gets in the way of the turtle hatchlings as they pop out of the sand and make their way to the water, and steer them to the water if they get off track.

A strange large leaf as big as a wagon wheel drifts to Eltrut's shores with a barely legible message scrawled on it: hELp KUdZu
Beneath is a rough "map" that includes coordinates. After the previous excursions, there is suspicion that something caused the sudden appearance of the kudzu, which is not native to the island. The glowing pillars are the most suspect and require further investigation. It's hard to tell with all the overgrowth, but while the locations of each pillar seem random, perhaps they aren't so after all? Keep looking!
(Mod note: reference to the previous log with more details prompts can be found here.)

400 dubloons in compensation for those targeted.
After investigations have revealed how wide and how deep the whale hunting and crystal markets have gone to include influential members on both sides of the Armadas, distrust is starting to reach an all time and has led to questionable actions taken by various law enforcements. To make matters worse, there is a spike in abductions, either as ransom, revenge, or worse—clean up. Efforts are being made to reveal corruption, but it's a difficult task. Efforts are being made by those on both Armadas to try and keep the peace as well as expose the corruption. They are also working hard to free any who are unjustly arrested and rescue hostages before it is too late. However, they are short manned and have to be more vigilant, so any assistance or information that can help us will be appreciated. Let's get to the bottom of this and restore the peace!
(Mod note: This is the general quest related to the current arrests and abductions happening through the month. Anyone participating, including those signed up as targets, can use this to mark their threads for the full 12pts.)

Word has spread about the mysterious treasure map that was featured in several auctions. Renown treasure hunter Hawk Jimins is looking to gather those who acquired the pieces and plan an expedition over the summer once a team has been assembled and preparations made. Current happenings will slow this down, but for now any information or research into the map pieces will be crucial!
(Mod note: This is just a "preliminary" phase of sorts for this quest chain and to encourage those who have the map pieces to try and meet and exchange or find new info. This phase will continue into April for those who will be unable to participate fully due to the "Growing Tensions.")

Although a few keys have been found, the Snakefolk say there are still more. They now reveal a total of twelve (12) keys and so far eight have been found. The Snakefolk suggest that the remaining four could be hidden somewhere in Ocard, but other possibilities include the coliseum in Sarht's desert or perhaps in another desert location entirely. In the meantime, the Snakefolk have provided a cipher to translate any writings on the keys.

Is it possible to talk to the witch and perhaps form friendly/neutral connections to barter the herbs with whatever witch might need? 👀 And if so what kind of conditions would make it work lol
