There have been reports of a strange sickness sweeping through some of the smaller towns on various Leviathans. The sickness appears in the form of thick thorny vines that wrap tightly around the wrist. This vine-like appendage seems to grow tighter and thicker over time. Eventually the thorny vines grow up the arm, to the shoulder, to the neck and down the rest of the body which tightens and tightens until it’s unbearable. It leaves behind painful, angry welts and bruises and pierces the skin with its sharp thorns.
The cause of the thorn sickness is still unclear but there have been suspicions that the sickness appears randomly and is highly contagious. And stranger still, if the victim indulges even in their simplest desires, the vines only grow faster.
Investigate a cure for this strange sickness while avoiding catching it yourself.

Last month, an investigation was conducted on Crescent Isle about strange mangled creatures roaming about. There were rumours saying that the abominations were connected to a shady man that had been collecting all kinds of animal body parts from various different locations and markets. His intention with these animal parts is still dubious but we did learn that the alchemist seems to have a way to track the phases of the moon. And all signs point to this man using alchemy to meld together all of these animal parts to create horrific monstrosities.
It seems that these chained abominations are now appearing on other islands. While they avoid the main Leviathans and islands, they are appearing on various smaller islands out at sea. It’s almost as if the man who might be creating these things is hiding them and continuously trying to improve his craft in secret.
Look for these smaller islands out at sea. When they’re found, kill the monstrosities found before they can become a greater danger. These creatures are all matter of animals fused together, such as cat bodies with pig heads or dolphin bodies with bull horns. Whatever you find, they must be killed. It doesn’t matter if they are docile or aggressive… They’re not meant to exist.

A fabulous new trend has appeared on Naughtilust and various brothels are boasting the wonderful magical feeling of sensation sharing through the use of binding potions.
When the liquid is consumed by the same two people, the potion magically interlinks the two drinkers' physical sensations. That means whatever your partner feels, you will too.
It’s quite popular in the brothels as of late. Care to give it a try and have a nice night of being the most vulnerable and connected that you’ll ever feel with another human being?

An explosion of rare exotic sharks have appears just off the coast of Eltrut’s current location. Beautiful sapphire coloured sharks are swimming through the water and helping themselves to all the local fish. These sharks are calm and confident. But the best part about them is that these sharks look like they’re made out of pure gemstones.
Since they seem to be rare, collectors and connoisseurs are hoping to get their hands on a few live specimens. Go out and use special netting to collect these beautiful, gemstone sharks.

A fish merchant on the water is offering a little fishing competition. He’s challenging others to go out on small rowboats armed with simple fishing rods and to catch the biggest fish possible.
It’s a simple challenge on paper but the reality of it is that Spring is fast approaching so the waters are filled with freshly migrating fish that are bigger than ever and looking to breed and lay eggs. The fish in the ocean are often massive in size or extremely territorial or aggressive. So it might be difficult to fish up a big fish with a little dingy boat and a simple fishing rod alone. But that’s the challenge!
Bring back the biggest fish you can hook for a nice reward.

Strange little green men seem to be wandering the wilderness on Eltrut. These minions are called Saibamen and are malicious troublemakers when left to their own devices.
The culprit who set them free might be Nappa who unleashed the rest of his Saibamen stock to aid him during a fight, but most of them wandered off into the wilderness because he failed to properly command them. They need to be rounded up and captured before they cause too much of a ruckus.

Reports have come in that a baby whale has gone missing from a large flock of peaceful migrating whales far in the ocean. The reports contain sightings of corsair ships in the distance that may or may not have poached the baby whale directly from its mother.
Paladins have been scouting the waters for weeks but have not been able to find the missing baby whale or the shady ships. They’re starting to fear that the baby whale might be dead by now and its body sold by shadier black market corsairs.
Take up the charge to help find the baby whale before it’s too late. Or is it already too late...?

The magitech researchers on Elah are at it again, they’ve created their newest magitech creation, the DINGKULTUREN. It’s a large mechanical frog that can be found roaming and hopping around Elah. Luckily, this contraption isn’t completely faulty and won’t attack on sight. But it does have a tendency to kidnap people in its giant mouth and take them for a hoppy ride around the Leviathan.
Try avoiding the mechanical frog or go right up to it to see if you can get out some of these little glitches and kinks if you’re the more handy type.

Spring has sprung and with it fresh spring crops are starting to sprout on Elah. Unfortunately, that also means that the insects and pests have started to wake up from their winter slumbers too.
The local crops have recently been attacked by special poisonous caterpillars that keep eating all of the baby sprouts before the crops can even take root. If the caterpillars aren’t eradicated, there might be a huge food shortage on Elah very soon. Go out and try and deal with the situation.

While Nogard doesn’t have many places to store and archive books and documents, it does boast a large variety of rare bookshops. These shops are often the bread and butter of Nogard’s archiving and hub of information. Most people just have to pay to get the information they want.
Unfortunately, there has been some sort of creature that has been breaking into these shops and has been eating the papers and books. A small, rectangular creature with tiny teeth and an appetite for paper and words. And it’s ransacking these poor shops!
The only lead anyone has on this little thing is that it might have come from a paladin ship. Perhaps a paladin is sabotaging Nogard’s businesses? Either way, find this little creature immediately and get rid of it!

Some of Nogard’s freshwater pools have recently been infested with strange little fish. Or are they bugs? No one is sure. But they are cute, round, little fish-like creatures that seem to enjoy being pet.
They’ve been affectionately named cuddlefish and since there are so many of them littering the freshwater pools now, local corsairs are looking into what they can do with these little things. They don’t seem particularly edible when cooked or roasted so… What else can be done with the explosion in their numbers?
Funnily enough, when the fish are cuddled they do seem to puff up and explode into thin air. ... So maybe get cuddling?

A new travelling street vendor is offering a very special food eating challenge! Challengers will be faced with a plate of fresh live octopus to eat under a time limit of thirty minutes. All means of utensils and techniques are allowed to be used, so long as the octopus is completely consumed! Are you up for the challenge?! Show your physical and mental fortitude when it comes to live cuisine!!
Just be careful, as eating live octopus can prove to have some special dangers. Not only is swallowing live and wiggling tentacles a serious choking hazard… Sometimes the poor octopus might let out a scream or cry as well.

"Despite its name, this deep-sea cephalopod is not a true squid nor a true octopus. It has bioluminescent organs and a unique webbing between its tentacles. And it likes to suck on blood!"

"Concerned upper-class citizens have placed a bounty on a maid who stole private documents and goods from her place of work, which she has since vanished from. She used the name "Mary Watson," but this is believed an alias for a man with remarkably similar features who worked at the auction house under the name "G. Lestrade." He was responsible for allowing highly valuable product to go missing. Whether this is the same person with the ability to change sex or a brother-sister team, we must apprehend this gentle(wo)manly thief! A strange large leaf as big as a wagon wheel drifts to Eltrut's shores with a barely legible message scrawled on it: hELp KUdZu
Beneath is a rough "map" that includes coordinates. Although it could be a trap and tensions are high, there is concern that a hostage may have been taken to this island or could lead to more clues for the investigations.
(Mod note: This is the special quest that will have its own log on March 15.)

400 dubloons in compensation for those targeted
After investigations have revealed how wide and how deep the whale hunting and crystal markets have gone to include influential members on both sides of the Armadas, distrust is starting to reach an all time and has led to questionable actions taken by various law enforcements. To make matters worse, there is a spike in abductions, either as ransom, revenge, or worse—clean up. Efforts are being made to reveal corruption, but it's a difficult task. Efforts are being made by those on both Armadas to try and keep the peace as well as expose the corruption. They are also working hard to free any who are unjustly arrested and rescue hostages before it is too late. However, they are short manned and have to be more vigilant, so any assistance or information that can help us will be appreciated. Let's get to the bottom of this and restore the peace!
(Mod note: This is the general quest related to the current arrests and abductions happening through the month. Anyone participating, including those signed up as targets, can use this to mark their threads for the full 12pts.)

Word has spread about the mysterious treasure map that was featured in several auctions. Renown treasure hunter Hawk Jimins is looking to gather those who acquired the pieces and plan an expedition over the summer once a team has been assembled and preparations made. Current happenings will slow this down, but for now any information or research into the map pieces will be crucial!
(Mod note: This is just a "preliminary" phase of sorts for this quest chain and to encourage those who have the map pieces to try and meet and exchange or find new info. This phase will continue into next month for those who will be unable to participate fully due to the "Growing Tensions.")

Although a few keys have been found, the Snakefolk say there are still more. They now reveal a total of twelve (12) keys and so far eight have been found. The Snakefolk suggest that the remaining four could be hidden somewhere in Ocard, but other possibilities include the coliseum in Sarht's desert or perhaps in another desert location entirely. In the meantime, the Snakefolk have provided a cipher to translate any writings on the keys.
(Mod note: This will carry over for next month.)
