CR WORKSHIP: NOVEMBER 2024

Our CR Meme CR Workship is where players can drop all the cool info for their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. Be sure to look over the MANTA Board as well as current events if you'd like to include them in your post.

We also include a designated toplevel for Crew Recruitment where players can make OOC ad posts for others to either join or request to join or make a crew. This is all for OOC coordination, so you'll have to figure out how it works ICly.

If you have multiple characters, make an individual toplevel for yourself with your player info and comment to it with each character separately.

About: Cyrus is a thirty year old professor with a deep and powerful love of all things knowledge, from learning about anything and everything to teaching and sharing that knowledge with others. Insanely curious and wildly effusive about it, Cyrus is deeply passionate and it comes through in all of his... everything. If you can think of something that is even remotely scholarly, he loves to do it. If there is something in the world he doesn't know, he wants to learn it. He loves to solve mysteries, deduce facts about people from observation (with varying levels of success) and of course, he loves loves loves to yap. He is a man who says things like 'phooey' and 'indubitably' and 'oh, woe is me' and calls people 'my dear girl' completely unironically.

Important to know also is that Cyrus is like, insanely charming, to the point that he gets scolded by one of his party members and one of his NPCs because he does not seem to realize the effect that he has on people with his words. He is both super genuine and very eloquent and also completely oblivious to things like feelings directed towards himself and/or his neighbor's house being on fire (because he was reading a book.) Real 20 Charisma, 20 Intelligence, 2 Wisdom kind of guy.

Abilities:
📖 Magic! Cyrus is a scholar, which is an Octopath wizard. He can currently do fire, ice and lightning magic, and augment his own strength in his spells. He can't punch his way out of a paper bag but my god he can blow you UP with a spell.

📖 For the tattoo, I know Cyrus will want to develop other types of magic - both the more familiar to home (wind, darkness, light, etc) but also the UNfamiliar! i think learning magic that is completely foreign to him is actually one of my short term game plans because he will just love it to bits and pieces. please. 🥺

PLANS

General: i'm still getting my feet wet so these are EXTRA general but:

⭐️ literally just learning All The Things, i cannot stress how much he will want to talk to every single person about their homes AND here - maybe taking academic surveys for the paladins, but also for the world as a whole? this is his paradise!

⭐️ he'll naturally be hanging out with alfyn a lot so maybe joining a crew.....

⭐️ opening a magic school with gale who is going to be his platonic soulmate and everyone will regret letting them speak to each other. this is how christine pspsp'd me into TDMing.

⭐️ i really want someone to develop a crush especially if it's ill advised i'm not being ic if i don't accidentally romance someone and never realize it

MANTA Board: related to above: someone do the love fruit one with me. please. i'm begging it'll be really dumb. i will also probably pick up sherlock's quest and would deeply love to collab on that with someone too!! nerds unite...

Event: i will certainly top level since it's my first one!!!! EXCITED. i haven't really had time to run through everything relating to it yet so bear with me but if anyone needs a wizard to tagalong please count me in. i'm thinking about investigating the blood rituals bc. familiar. lol, and trying to get those cracks closed for sure!

CR Dreams:

⭐️ nerdy friends he can have long intellectual debates with and/or learn from and/or idk do whatever nerdy scholars do.

⭐️ fellow magic users! people who have been here for a while and are studying the place as a whole! etc.

⭐️ people (esp younger crowd/teens but anyone is fine) to mentor!! cyrus is a teacher by nature and often gives good advice - he loves to look after and nurture young minds. i'd love for him to eventually have a magic pupil. a sorcerer's apprentice if you will.
