CR WORKSHIP: NOVEMBER 2024

Our ~~CR Meme~~ CR Workship is where players can drop all the cool info for their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. Be sure to look over the MANTA Board as well as current events if you'd like to include them in your post.

We also include a designated toplevel for Crew Recruitment where players can make OOC ad posts for others to either join or request to join or make a crew. This is all for OOC coordination, so you'll have to figure out how it works ICly.

If you have multiple characters, make an individual toplevel for yourself with your player info and comment to it with each character separately.

Character: Benedikta Harman
Canon: Final Fantasy XVI, post "Wings of Change"

About: Benedikta Harman is a woman who is all about her survival and self-preservation first and foremost. Having climbed out of the depths of a cruel and terrible youth, she ascended to a place of power within the Kingdom of Waloed after being rescued, thanks to her talents in subterfuge and swordplay, as well as being the Dominant of the Eikon Garuda. Now the Head of the Elite Intelligencers, Waloed's spies, she is—or was, in the case of Escordvi—fiercely loyal to her king. However, not everything is as it seems with her.

She is loyal, but to a fault. And although things have changed for her since coming to Escordvi, she can still be the ruthless, cold-hearted, guarded woman that she has grown up to be. Deep down, however, she is merely a woman who has sought love and validation all her life, and a need to be useful, and once found it in all the wrong places. And now, after recent developments and revelations, she has found it and is working on healing those old wounds born from betrayal and loneliness, as well as trying to live a life that she was robbed of in the past.

Abilities: Benedikta is a skilled spy as well as swordswoman, and being the Dominant of Garuda grants her access to power wind-based magic, as well as the ability to transform into Garuda herself.

🗡️ MAGIC: In canon, she can wield strong wind magic, such as summoning tornadoes and violent gales, and can also teleport herself and anyone else she chooses to another location. Benedikta can also summon her egis, Suparna and Chirada (wind-based elementals). In Escordvi, I'd like for her to develop at least most (if not all) of this magic through her tattoo, and she has already started practicing plenty.

🗡️ GARUDA: Being the Dominant of Garuda, she is able to take on two forms of the Eikon: semi-primed and fully primed by drawing upon her aether. When she is semi-primed, she grows a set of large feathered wings, has glowing green marks over her skin, and bright blue eyes. She is fast, agile, and powerful, and can summon claws that are large enough to tear apart buildings. When she is primed, she transforms into the much larger version of her Eikon. Under Garuda's influence, she can summon powerful, devastating wind storms. At the moment, she refuses to use too much of Garuda's power, and the Eikon herself has been in a "slumber" since the incident in May.

General:

There is still a lot of baggage and old wounds that need healing, so she is still trying to Work On Things. Right now, she's in the middle of trying to find hobbies and things that she's good at that aren't spying and killing people (though she does it on the side still, as a treat). So far, she's learned that she doesn't mind gardening, and that she's terrible at baking.
She's gonna punch a god in the face this month and help Joshua and the rest of the FFXVI cast banish Ultima from this world for good.
Time to dive head first into trying to find the relics that control the rifts again. Still waiting for her villain arc again where she wants to close them forever, everyone else be damned—
Speaking of searching, now that she has been afflicted with the petrification curse that all Dominants eventually suffer from on her back, she will be trying to find a cure for that, too.

MANTA Board: Mostly saving my energy for the event, but there are a few that did catch my eye if anyone is more interested in these:

Sword in the Stone: her actually getting the sword out would actually be kinda funny because of how much she's changed, and then she would vehemently refuse to believe it...
Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire: can she hang some people upside-down and then light them on fire—
Either one of the bounties
Underwater Ruins: I'd be interested in having her go down there! She'd be mostly interested in it if it has any potential to lead the the rifts relic...
Whale Helpers: She's gone and destroyed some whale poachers, but she's always happy to do it again! She and Cid will likely be going after some buyers in the near future, so I'm not interested in doing that part atm, but the raiding and whale support are fair game!

Event: I'm going to try and top level with Benedikta, since she hasn't had anything open in a while, but we'll see! I don't really do well with top levels and do better with tagging out, but I am open to plotting either way!! 🫣 She will be going to the Farplane, though... but will be a little hesitant for obvious reasons.

CR Dreams: Honestly, I'm great with any kind of CR but Benedikta isn't the most pleasant person (actually, far from it) so anyone who is okay with some negative CR would be ideal. People she can manipulate into doing her bidding, or people she can team up with and then betray later, whether they are paladin or corsair, she will take them. She does have a bit of a soft and protective spot for younger girls (especially any who have had troubled pasts), so I would adore exploring that, if any want to come rest under her wings. Also, I love pitting her against people who are really good at getting under her skin. But honestly, just give me all kinds of CR, I'm here for it. She does get along with like-minded people, so anyone who is just as ruthless and cutthroat as she is, and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

She should be getting her wings back hopefully by the end of the year, depending on some other developments so they can do that in the new year like they promised they would do 🥹
