PLAYER INTRO: NOVEMBER 2024

YO HO AND AHOY EVERYONE! This post is our catchall gathering place for all new and old players to meet and greet. Introduce yourself and the character you're bringing in, giving us whatever info you feel comfortable with! Don't forget to join the Discord server if you haven't already! hello everyone!! im aaya and i have, for some fuckin reason that i still am unable to fathom, brought you xehanort from kingdom hearts. however as you may have noticed this is not the old-ass man you may be familiar with, but rather the young one from all the weird homoromantic chess flashbacks in kh3. they made a game about those.

this xehanort is around 16 years old, raised by a single heavily traumatised elder in a shack on the beach of destiny islands, where for like fourteen years he was plagued with lore-relevant dreams and barely interacted with people that werent the other island kids bullying him. then he ended up falling out of the sky in scala ad caelum, joining what is basically keyblade high, and making a bunch of friends whom he loves very dearly. i am sure nothing will happen to them and its all going to be Fine.

he isnt the best at dealing with strangers, but he is generally helpful and kind, if a bit unintentionally aloof. this comes from being very sharp and also having uhh strong literal empath heartpings, which he only has limited control over. the whole keyblade thing comes naturally to him, so he's pretty damn strong for an apprentice, especially with magic. he asks a lot of questions and cracks dry jokes and gets weird and analytical a lot, but he isnt difficult to make friends with. please be nice to him, he kind of needs it. or dont!! i love negative cr!! get him into fights and have him try and hit you with his big key!!!

as for me, you can find me at yagyuu. feel free to add me, i basically only plurk about cardfight!! vanguard and kingdom hearts right now but i love making new friends and learning about other peoples canons and stuff. super excited to play with everyone!!

dark road is the one KH game is admittedly fell off from because it got too hard to keep up u_u but I have played all the other KH games!! yes even the music one and all the ones on the DS!!!

anyway i honestly think xehanort and alhaitham will be pretty fun because alhaitham is also weird and asks a lot of questions and acts very aloof so perhaps something can come from there (fingerguns emoji)

thats extremely fair like... the gameplay wasnt great but dark roads story is SO good im gonna be so mad if it never gets an official summary at least. there is a fandub being worked on though!! once thats out i will become even more annoying about it than i already am.

oh thats cute, they can play 20 questions and learn stuff and have a nice time (quietly). parallel play type thing. im completely genshinblind but i like learning about these funky hoyoguys always.

I did read up on a summary of what happened in dark road after it ended and suffice to say it continues to give more questions than answers LMAO. KH4 when will you come...

Paraell play is very much the thing this man likes to do best. And I obviously won't go too deep into the Genshins becuase... lmao... but as a quick summary Alhaitham is just A Dude who loves his 9 - 5 office job to the point he took charge of a coup to overthrow the government so he can keep it :'). And then got promoted for it anyway (which he resigned from ASAP because he never asked for it!!). Other than that he loves reading, napping and is incredibly down bad for his roommate (who has now become his husband here). He's very much just A Guy and probably won't give two fucks about the whole light and darkness thing, for better or worse.

i am a huge union x enjoyer too but goddamn i need kh4 (or at least missing-link) news like yesterday. i need to see my dandelion children again. mr nomura what did you do with them.

oh what a guy. congrats on the marriage and stable employment, dude. xehanort is also mostly just A Guy at this canonpoint... he and eraqus squabble a bit about the darkness vs free will stuff but theyre [tips wrist] Like That so it never sticks, they forgive each other too fast. if asked, xehanort is truthfully a "side of light" guy, but it might not even come up.

We need to see the dandelion children again... And see what the masters are up to... And also Sora needs to pay his taxes or something I guess.

The squabbling is something that will be very familiar honestly because Alhaitham and Kaveh (his roommate) also have constant arguments over many things, but particularly altruism vs egoism, idealism vs realism, emotion vs logic etc etc etc. their whole relationship is about debates on all those things and more. And it did actually cause them to fall out once in the past but then they made up later because of (gay) reasons so yeah. Needless to say all of that is a whole song and dance Alhaitham will very much understand if it ever comes up somehow.

Hello Aaya!! I'm Mich, I play Zack Fair (ff7) and Joshua Rosfield (ff16) and Izuku Midoriya (my hero academia). Welcome to the game!

I am also a long time Sora player (he's retired for now after many many many years of playing him LMAO) so Kingdom Hearts is a series that is extremely close to my heart. It's amazing to see someone grab a early canon Xehanort because I can see it being a big challenge to tackle! I hope you have so much fun here!! <3

oh lord being perceived by a kh enjoyer of such caliber......... i really hope i can do him justice. unfortunately uxdr (and ml which doesnt even EXIST yet) ate my whole psyche over the past few months and babbynort here is really just so fascinating to me because hes so genuinely good, but has those weird hangups about fate and stuff and we all know how doomed he is... its a lot.

lmaooo yeah its like the last possible canonpoint i could pick without him being like. constantly panicking at minimum, yknow. hes able to shelve the "wow hope the darkness residing in my Good Friend doesnt start its murder spree" concerns just enough. time passes differently between worlds... itll be fine(?! no)

that said it might be interesting to play ddd/3-era yx at some point. i have a lot of thoughts about him.

Aaaaaaya I'm so glad you got in! You've been so fun to play off of. I have to laugh at the KH roster just having all these teens about the same height and then a tall red-head in the middle. Our cast photo must look ridiculous lmao

I don't even know where our CR goes from here, but I'm excited to find out. I like to think of both of these two trying to tiptoe around trying to get intel out of eachother but failing to just sit down and talk in any normal capacity lol

I can't wait to see Xehanort's boat adventures

HI RJ im so happy you got in too!! our thread on the tdm was tons of fun. actually xehanort is pretty tall lmaooo hes like nearly 6', so hes the stepping stone between the small teens and beanpole on fire here.

xehanort is the type to get tired of tiptoeing pretty fast, but he doesnt want to scare axel off and he is a little scared to ask, so hes not sure what to do. i think they will figure it out though!!

Ello Aaya it's nice to meet you! I'm Jarret and currently play Denji from Chainsaw Man alongside Loid Forger as of this month as well! Unfortunately I never played Dark Roads but I am certainly familiar with KH in general and know of Xehanort from the other games though he looks a little older. Awha

I'd love for Denji and him to get into some trouble or Loid potentially taking on a mentor/father figure role for the boy considering it seems he's started to collect newfound children under his wing already. LOL In any case welcome to the game and I hope you have a blast here! :)

Hi Aaya! I'm Caprica and I just have this here tiny nerd (Hiro) and his walking marshmallow (Baymax) here. I played a little of X but missed Dark Road. So all I have to go on for younger Xehanort is the flashbacks we got from the other games. But that is def an interesting canon point for him in taking him from earlier before /gestures at the majority of the series and all. I'm curious and keen to see where things go with him in Esco!

oh Boy its really yx (extended tragedy) and the homoromo chess huh... well heres my standard dark road shilling (i am on my hands and knees pleeease experience dark road by just watching the cutscenes its so GOOD its not even that LONG) okay ahem. yeah before all the [gestures] is. yeah.

i like hiro (and baymax!) a lot and would love to have them meet this guy sometime!!

I really should sit down and watch on Youtube or something. I didn't get to the end of X either. If there's something on Youtube or the like that has at least the important cutscenes for me to get through to get the main plot. I haven't checked but I probably should. No doubt it will be Important Lore because Nomura.

But yes! I'm totally down for cr together. Hiro has spoken to Ventus but Xehanort hasn't come up so he's oblivious and won't be immediately on guard or anything.

i can wholeheartedly recommend the union x fandub, it is masterfully done. as for dark road, it is all compiled here. i dont have these links on hand always dont worry about it. sorry about my shilling

xehanort is also oblivious!! hes just an apprentice right now!!! none of... whatever that is!!!!! he would be so interested in hiros robotics and such.

But yes. He has no idea lol. Ven hasn't mentioned all that yet. Hiro's still new so has barely met the kid to have learned much on his past just yet. But he and Tadashi are trying to figure this place and plan, settle in more and see what they can work with and what they might need still from home etc sort of thing.
