About: Rikku is an energetic young thief from the desert. Her specialty is tinkering with machines and making explosive combinations, and she always tries to look on the bright side. She's here to help! Probably.

PLANS

General: Rikku would really like to find a crew to join when that starts. It feels weird venturing solo, and she tends to get lonely without someone to chatter at. She'll likely start using the shellphones to chatter loudly at Everyone, of course!
MANTA Board: Diving for lanternfish! She's really good at underwater work so it should be fine. She also thinks she's got the skills for the candy corn quest! Come on, sugar's good for the spirit...
Event: Rikku has literally never dressed up for a formal event before, so that'll be new. She'll try it once, but she's a bit young for the naughtier activities so she'll be dipping out early to enjoy the festival.

About: Benedikta Harman is a woman who is all about her survival and self-preservation first and foremost. Having climbed out of the depths of a cruel and terrible youth, she ascended to a place of power within the Kingdom of Waloed after being rescued, both by way of her talents in subterfuge and swordplay, and awakening as the Warden of the Wind, the Dominant of the Eikon, Garuda, which allows her to wield powerful wind magic. She is the Commander of Waloed's Elite Intelligencers, and is fiercely loyal to King Barnabas.

However, not everything is as it seems with her. She is loyal, yes, but to a fault, and is stung by the bitter bite of betrayal. She is ruthless, only cares about her own skin, and resents the world for what it has done to her. But deep down, who she really is is a woman who has looked and continues to find love and validation in all the wrong places...

In short: she's a mess. :)

PLANS

General:

🍃 Currently dealing with recent developments between her and Cid... and while things ended on a more positive note than last time they tried to talk, she is still Going Through It, as they say. So she'll be seen around Naughtilust still in the coming weeks leading up to the masquerade...
🍃 Lots of cast drama incoming, as well as a priming into Garuda's full form in the near future so keep an eye out for those wind storms.
🍃 I really want her to lure someone into stealing a ship with her and then try to ditch them on some remote island someday.
🍃 On that note, I would like for her to steal some ships, place bounties on people's heads just because she doesn't like them (with player permission of course!), and just sow some seeds for general chaos, which her and Barnabas are very good at.
🍃 She will also be trying to recruit others to Barnabas's cause and her crew by using whatever tactics that she can because they are definitely looking at making their own! Well, Barnabas is. She's here to help.
🍃 While I'm not looking to fully redeem her (because let's be real, she is far from fully redeemable), my main goal for her is to eventually come to terms with everything she's done wrong. She's gotten a taste of that after what happened in canon before arriving, but still has a long way to go before she accepts it. I have some plans in the works for how that's going to come about, but it's going to be a long journey to get there.

MANTA Board: You know me, I'm easy, but for more specifics:

🍃 Spirited by Spirits, I already have plans for having her possessed, but she might be fun to toss against other "Larger Than Life" people. Perfect way to annoy her!

Event: She will only be tagging around this time at the event, but lots of potential here!

🍃 Not sure if she will participate in the festivities, unless someone is able to convince her, but it will take MUCH CONVINCING.
🍃 But she will definitely be at the party on Naughtilust, drinking and dancing and dancing and drinking, so if anyone wants either of those things with her, then feel free to! Just let me know and I will happily make it happen.
🍃 For Reasons I shall not disclose here, Benedikta is going to be very angry about the ghost ship crashing the party when they do, so she is going to be absolutely feral when fighting them. Yes, probably also semi-priming, so if you would like to fight alongside half-form Garuda, now is your chance! She won't need pumpkins and light magic, she will just use her claws—

For Tifa, I defs want them to hang out and get drinks and be Paladin buds!! If she needs a friend who will listen to her grief, Xenk would be more than happy to be there for her.

For Benna🍃DEFINITELY need them to meet again at the masquerade and not recognize each other and have just a lovely time together, only for the truth to come out and Xenk get justifiably slapped for his Lawful Good nonsense, I just think that would be amazing and I'm always down for Xenk getting dunked on

About:
Ashi is half-demon and the only one remaining out of seven sisters called the Daughters of Aku. She was raised as an assassin with one goal -- to kill the Samurai. Now after a mighty heel turn in canon as well as coming to love Jack she is still learning about herself. She has been shown there is so much more to her than she thought there.

All in all Ashi loves to help others when she can. She likes to talk, to interact and even if there's a lot she might not be familiar with she's eager to learn as well.

General: I want her to make friends more or less. Ashi still carries a flame for Jack but I'm not beyond diving into some romance or smut either.

About: Toge is a jujutsu sorcerer, studying at the Tokyo Metropolitan Technical College. His cursed technique manifested at birth and to that end Toge has had the power of cursed speech. He speaks in a rice ball cipher to protect those around him from the power of his compulsion. Fortunately, his phone has text to speech to give him a hand, but he's not a huge fan of texting while speaking face to face.

Oh and it's his birthday in October. He will be seventeen!

PLANS

General: Toge is a Corsair and one that is all about freedom. He hasn't had a lot of it and the chance to get out and explore, see new things, meet new people - all of that is simply perfectly amazing.
MANTA Board: He's gonna go for Spirited By Spirits, Fishlight Fantasia, Smashing Pumpkins...and he'd love to go for the Headless Pumpkin. Free candy? Sign him up.
Event: He will definitely top level. He probably hasn't been to a festival in possibly ever so he's planning on having lots of fun. He'll be attending the masquerade of course, although he's never danced. And he's probably even open to sneaking off in the Naughtilust too. He may as well enjoy this Halloween and thank god he's not at home.

About: Dion is a very serious kind of Paladin, who's incredibly rigid in his beliefs in justice and fairness. That said, everyone he knows is a chaos gremlin, apparently and they're all Corsairs. At home, he's a prince, and the leader of the dragoons, but so far he's mainly just felt alone. That, and sea sick. The sea's not agreeing with his stomach, even though Joshua helped him get some tea.

PLANS

General: Dion is confused why he's here, and what he's doing. He needs to find a purpose.
MANTA Board: He'll happily plant trees for a good bottle of wine. Anyone who can talk him into Unconventional Couture, kudos. I'm up for it, Dion needs convincing. He could also use A Latte Love Story
Event: Sure, Dion will top level. He can attend the masquerade perhaps, but he's kind of morose at the moment. Maybe he needs to get some of his thoughts off his chest.

Oh hey, they're both Corsairs. But also Ashi doesn't know a lick of this 'fowl language' you speak of -- aside from what she's heard on the ship. Which makes the idea of her actually listening and learning any even funnier to me.

About: Leads a group of outlaws working to change the world's current system in treating magic users, making a name for himself as an outlaw in doing so. The Dominant of Ramuh, he's capable of using and turning into the Eikon Ramuh himself and wields lightning as his main element. Goodnatured, friendly, classic rogue, with enough wit and Dad jokes to help lighten any heavy situation. With his experience and endless worldly wisdom, he's the perfect mentor for any young lad who is going through a self-identity crisis and angst. Oh that's just Clive—but he can be a mentor or father figure for anyone who needs it, too. He is also a brilliant inventor and bit of an engineer. There will definitely be spoilers since he'll be after a certain canon point. I usually try not to reference canon events with non-castmates, but I'll be sure to mark them just in case. General: Oh he's definitely roping Clive and co into stealing a ship next month 👀 If anyone wants in on the Hideaway group of the FFXVI cast (ie, the better group), let me know. Cid gets to be captain...again...lmfaooo. He just wanted to retire and enjoy a vacation— Anyway only other thing I foresee on the horizon is Cid looking into that ~mysterious treasure map~ about the ancient artifact that started this whole rift business. For reasons.

MANTA Board: OKAY I DIDN'T GET TO LAST TIME but will try to make an open log this time!! So the quests I'm thinking about:

FISHLIGHT FANTASIA: I've wanted to have Cid go fishing so this sounds close enough— Although the option to try and steal them is also on the table fufu
EVEN WOODIER RARITIES: Look the reward is wine. He can plant a few trees for that. (And maybe pilfer a few lemons and oranges for his future crew.)
SMASHING PUMPKINS: LOOK OUT ESCORDVI CID IS GOING TO ENGINEER THE CRAZIEST CANNON AND EVERYONE WILL HATE HIM—

I'm also thinking The Headless Pumpkin and The Carrot Crusade Conspiracy, though for the latter I'd like to join up with some Paladins, too 👀 The other two bounties are also available so I may make a quick "Bounty list" prompt for that.

Event: I will probably toplevel depending on actual prompts. Since I have open logs going for both guys having toplevels for both may also kill me LMFAO BUT WE'LL SEE. If I do, I think I'll try to keep it small with something with the festivities and the ghost ship for sure. For the masquerade, I may opt to tag out unless someone wants to have a dance with Cid! I could make a general prompt for that then.

About: Typical stoic, aloof, silent elite agent soldier lone wolf type with the biggest soft spot for all things dog. His ideal is to live a life filled with peace and quiet, and so he fights to protect not only his peace but others as well. Eustace can be a bit rough around the edges, but he's softened up and can be amiable with those he's grown to trust and care for. Often compared to as a "guard dog" he is fiercely loyal to those close to him. He is skilled with guns, short blades, and grenades with his favored weapon being Flamek, a special rifle that can unleash lightning. His main element is also lightning in game. As an Erune, the dog-like ears on his head are very real, but he does not have a tail. Also as an Erune, the fashion choice of open sides and backs is the norm— He also loves dogs. Like. A lot. He has his dog Valo. More detailed info can be found here!

MANTA Board: I am debating if I want to do an open log with him or not, but here are the quests I'm looking at for Eustace:

THE SEAHORSE MIDWIFE: I decided to stick this one to Eustace because lmfao. He would be so weirded out but then be very serious about it.
FISHLIGHT FANTASIA: Since he did the Caviar one last time and has his lightning proof gloves, he'd be good for this.
BOUNTIES: Mostly the Giga Mantis Shrimp, but also The Headless Pumpkin. He'd give the reward to someone else, though lol.

Event: I may or may not toplevel with Eustace as it will depend on the prompts ssh yes i know i'm helping to write them ljsklf but it would likely focus on the festivities and the ghost ship! It's. Canon: Tales of Zestiria, canon point being as he passes out, prior to Rose joining the party and him being taken to their base.

About:

Sorey is a sheltered, trusting and naïve teenager who grew up in a village of seraphim (basically like elemental spirits) with Sorey being the only human/mortal. He could see and hear and interact with the seraphim because he grew up around them as they raised him and this increased what is known as his Resonance (like a spiritual sense). He's what is known as the Shephard back home (basically like someone that has enough Resonance to interact with the seraphim, to be something like a go between for them and the humans since most humans can't sense the seraphim, also helps deal with what is known as Malevolence, like a negative energy, able to purify it.)

He loves history and exploring ruins. The biggest History Nerd. He is trying to figure being here without his bff Mikleo, a water seraph. Mikleo is usually the one that's less reckless, that grounds Sorey and looks out for him when Sorey is the most clueless and trusting, that others don't take advantage of Sorey. Sorey can be reckless, determined and selfless in his efforts to protect and help others.

General:

No particular plans yet beyond exploring, beyond developing his cr and seeing where things go since things are still pretty new. Maybe figuring more with the Bers crew and armatizing eventually. Otherwise he is just excited to figure exploring and learning more about this place. More about the history of this place. About this treasure they are supposed to find.
