Our CR Meme CR Workship is where players can drop all the cool info for their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. For this first Workship, we are excluding crew discussions since it's still a bit early. We'll make a separate post once everyone is more settled and has had a chance to meet and thread with each other!

About: Roxas is the Nobody of series protagonist Sora. He's a little like Sora on mute, not quite as outgoing, a little more cautious and careful. But no less loyal or determined. He might not be trusting at first, but it doesn't take long to break through that exterior to find a true and loyal friend underneath.

Abilities: Roxas can wield 2 Keyblades (Oathkeeper and Oblivion) and can use combat magic.
I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of abilities he'll develop going forward
Also might want to learn how to swim.

PLANS

General: I admit I don't have a lot of plans right now beyond getting him established. He's a little worried about Sora right now, since he seems to have disappeared, and Roxas will probably be looking for him. There's a lot of similarities to The Caribbean from Kingdom Hearts, so he'll be wanting to see if there's any similarities.

Learning how to swim, again, probably a big one, and figuring out this whole Paladin deal.
MANTA Board: He'll probably help out with cleaning the town up and maybe sending a message in a bottle.
Paladin-wise, let's go fishing. That won't go badly at all.

Event: He'll probably have a top level
Thinking he'll have some ultimate sailor or capture the flag fun for general stuff and then more settling in things at the Paladin base. You might be able to convince him to go out to those ruins, or he'll get into a fight with a Dodo.

CR Dreams: All types! Roxas needs friends! Roxas needs adults! Don't let him mope! In return, he'll do his best to be helpful on missions and be a good team member. And maybe, he'll open up to friendship. (I make it sound hard. It's not. He's a Kingdom Hearts Character, they run on friendship)

About: Is he a cat? A dog? A lab rat? Nanaki is that which you see before you, nothing more. Nanaki is a beast who hails from Cosmo Canyon, and who possesses human-levels of intelligence and the ability to speak. He possesses a strong sense of honour and a warrior's spirit, and wishes to not only protect that which is precious to him but also be a warrior worthy of the legacy of his predecessors. Though he is intelligent, he sometimes finds "two-legged" things to be ridiculous and does still have a feral side that can certainly make itself known if the right situation calls for it...

Abilities: His canon abilities can be found here! As for Tattoo abilities, I was thinking for now maybe more fire-based magics? I haven't thought too hard on it yet, but still workshopping!

General: As of right now, nothing specific! Nanaki here will be settling in and getting used to things. Also once he's settled on a ship he won't be able to do any deckswabbing but can probably make a fairly good Ship Mouser.

About: Rikku is a very friendly and bubbly teenage girl! Back home she was a member of a treasure-hunting and exploring crew called the Gullwings, and she's kept up that life ever since. She's used to flying around freely, finding fun, and helping people out! She hopes to figure out what she really wants from life along the way.

Abilities: Rikku's main magical ability is Spherechange. She has five dresspheres with her, which are like D&D/classic RPG job classes that she can freely change between. Each comes with a nifty costume. She usually has the thief class equipped, which gives her an agility boost and twin daggers, but she also has access to Gunner (twin pistols), Warrior (broadsword), Black Mage (offensive magic), and White Mage (healing magic).

On the non-magic side, she's well trained in building and disassembling small machines.

PLANS

General: Rikku's mainly going to be focused on searching for treasures and clues! It's what she's good at, and the...less than savory aspects of piracy don't really interest her. She wants to keep helping people out wherever she goes. If she can find a crew that aligns with her values, she'll join it. She also wants to try out ziplining and goad other people into trying it, because it looks super fun!
MANTA Board: She definitely wants to try observing and befriending creatures. The seahorses and the horned dolphins both interest her, but she doesn't want to hurt them!
Event: She'll largely be settling on Nogard, ziplining around, and exploring while doing her best to earn money to get by with repair work. If she can get to meet some mystical creatures, even better! She's more than happy to work with people across factions should she meet them.

CR Dreams: Rikku could definitely use some friends...moderating impulses for her zanier and riskier behavior, perhaps. She's a friendly face willing to reach out to shyer people, and if a more stubborn and risk-averse character needs goading, she's your gal! She's used to being the youngest in the group and working alongside people of all ages for a shared goal, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Ashi is one of seven sisters raised by their High Priestess mother in an all-female cult known as the Daughters of Aku. Later in canon that's revealed to be literal -- Ashi and her six sisters are part demon, part human and all Aku's daughters.

She spent most of her life being trained as an assassin alongside her sisters with one goal -- to kill the Samurai. During the initial fight all six of her sisters die with only Ashi herself being spared because Jack couldn't bring himself to kill her too after realizing she (and likely her sisters) had all been 'brainwashed'. A series of events ends with Ashi realizing Aku isn't the force for good her mother said and then siding with Jack. Through learning about all he had done through his adventures from the people he saved Ashi realized what Aku had truly done to the world.

Despite her upbringing of harsh training and the emphasis of weakness equalling death Ashi has become a very sweet and curious soul. She never experienced the world itself until her mother finally set her and her sisters off to go kill the Samurai and so there is a lot she doesn't know about life in general. Things like the names of animals and social customs elude her even if she does seem to have something of a grasp on emotions themselves.

Above all Ashi just wants to help others. She's done enough killing and while she won't hesitate to do so again should the need arise she would rather save people with her strength than hurt them.

Abilities:
I'll be honest here, because of the amount of abilities Ashi already has both innate and learned I didn't really consider her tattoo abilities. I think it might be nice if she can learn healing of some type, it would make her really happy to have some ability that wasn't fighting-based I think.

PLANS

General:
I want Ashi to make friends, to learn about the world and life in general. Past her canon point she goes on to marry Jack and I've always wondered how much she learned in the time between destroying Aku and their marriage. I want to see her experience emotions, have relationships and just live in general.

Event: Definitely gonna top level.

CR Dreams: Anyone and everyone basically. If your character has some demonic heritage and wants to talk about it them please hit her up. Do you have an assassin type? Then hit her up too! Fighters? Yes please! Ashi likes fighting, thinks it's fun and all that, so if you like to fight just for the hell of it then come spare with her.

About: Nimona is a shapeshifting being, who lies about how she got this ability. She's a chaotic gremlin, who loves violence and blowing stuff up. Her idea of a plan is "something, something, we win!" and will cause trouble even if she's been denied the chance to kill people. The people of her world view her as a monster, just because she's different, so that word has become a trigger for her. Even though Nimona wants to be a villain sidekick, she's willing to stick with an innocent individual and help him prove it. Underneath, is a lonely and depressed girl, who sometimes has suicidal ideation/tendencies. That will be marked accordingly. So really, people accepting her as she is - that's going to go a long way for Nimona.

Abilities: Shapeshifting: Into animals - which are all pink. And the larger ones will be sized down to match the rules of the world. Into people - will leave this generally open to others to pick. Will ask if she specifically wants to turn into someone. Healing - has some fast healing abilities. Could potentially be immortal (outside of potentially one fatal wound). Firebreathing - in any form. Invulnerability - seems to be able to avoid injuries like resting arm on a moving sawblade. Still gets shot with arrow and bleeds.

She might pick up some more elemental abilities, usually depending on what form she's in. Like sea creatures = water, large creatures = earth, flying creatures = wind.

Event: I will be top-leveling and tagging out! I haven't looked much at the event yet, but Nimona will likely be in the middle of things, where it's most chaotic. Bonus points if she gets to fight people (NPC or PC-wise), but I'm all for her teaming up with familiar TDM faces and new ones!

Long terms, I would like Nimona to develop meaningful relationships like familial bonds - people who don't see her as a monster and that she can trust almost completely. She won't be looking to make her own crew, only join one where she feels like she can be herself all of the time.

CR Dreams: Again, familial bonds. People who begrudgingly accept her gremlin behavior and will "babysit" her. People who will gremlin with her. Those she can trust, and who trust her - and those she doesn't. Someone let her be a little duckling sidekick!

About: eizen is the first mate of aifread's pirate crew back in his world. he stands tall, isn't afraid to speak his mind and is okay with getting his hands dirty when needed. he's also something known as a malak with the power of earth. worth noting also is that eizen is cursed with uncannily bad luck called the reaper's curse that afflicts him and those around him.

underneath it all, eizen is a giant nerd about history and artifacts. he'll get into heated debates about dumb stuff like about how to classify a bug.

Abilities: being an earth malak means he has earth abilities (called artes) and that's one of the tattoos he got here. he also has some wind artes that he'll be able to use as his secondary element and a few healing artes since they'll be tied to his earth element. healing dirt, yes.

aside from magic, eizen's main weapon is his fists so he's handy in any brawl.

General: in general, he's just settling in right now. i'd just like to get him to build some cr and get some friends/drinking buddies.
Event: i'll be topleveling with him and i'll be tagging out, too.

CR Dreams: friends, drinking buddies and people he can mentor are some of the first things that come to mind! also anyone that wants to get dragged into his bad luck messes. i'm honestly open to anything!

Sorey l Tales of Zestiria l Paladin

About: A selfless, sheltered and naïve teenager with a particular ability with his resonance (ability to see and hear seraphim and other supernatural beings, like a spiritual sense) that he takes on the role of the Shepherd. Basically, this means he goes around helping to purify those tainted with Malevolence (like a bad/negative sort of vibe). He will always be willing to help and do what he can for others, even at his own expense. Sorey does sometimes need to be reminded he is only human, that he has limits and shouldn't be so reckless. Or so trusting of everyone. That's what Mikleo, his bff water seraph is there for, in keeping an eye on him and keeping Sorey in check. He adores ruins and exploring them, figuring the history of when they were built and what the building initially was and such. Also loves goblin carts.

Abilities: Shepherd:

As the Shepherd, I'm going to try umbrella this since it covers a few things:

Armatization - being able to channel the seraphs in the party and use this to their advantage in combat. Combining into one (the seraphs using Sorey's body as a vessel) and thus granting Sorey access to their Seraphic Artes (using their particular element that seraphim is attuned to, out of fire, water, earth or wind) in combat along with their particular Divine Weapon. This does take time initially for him to adjust to in willing it to finish however, but he does eventually come able to revert back to himself at will.

Resonance - Ability to see and hear seraphim, potentially other supernatural beings most other normal humans cannot usually sense, due to his having been brought up among seraphim back home at Elysia. Think of it as like some sort of spiritual sense. Along with this is his ability to sense Malevolence, which is sort of like a dark energy that makes him feel ill, tight in the chest. It's basically a big part of his whole 'purity' thing, really. His resonance is what allows him to become the Shepherd, basically, because he can see and hear Lailah in order to make a pact with her. This pact is what allows him to thus be able to purify the hellions. He can manage animal or plant based hellions fine, but humanized hellions, according to expanded information in the anime, means Sorey takes on their Malevolence.

Pacts - Sorey can make a pact with another human with resonance to take them on as a Squire. A Squire can essentially also assist in purifying hellions and help the Shepherd on their journey, basically. Acting as a support to them along the way and assisting them in carrying out their duties to deal with the hellions. If the Squire has a high enough resonance, such as Rose in the game, they can also then armatize with the seraphim once they have made their pact and been given a True Name by the Shepherd. In Sorey and Rose's case, if something happens to the Shepherd, the Squire can thus make a pact to take on their role in turn too.

- History/Ruins Knowledge - Sorey is really keen on this sort of stuff and grew up wanting to explore ruins and learn about history so this is kind of his Thing. He and Mikleo are all about geeking out over ruins together. So he will easily pick up on this sort of thing in Incensed's setting and all.

- Fighting/Hunting ability - Sorey has a sword and can use a bow when hunting as well, so he can fight/defend himself or go hunting for meat for example if he has to with these basic survival skills.


As far as the tattoo I am debating on if I want to add anything else there as well??? idk yet. But that is what his deal is in canon at least. To give some idea.

General: Initially probably just gonna be freaking out wondering where the others are. Where be fire mum and water bff???? Little earth sis???? But once he figures determining if they are around or not. He might chill and be open to exploring and figuring this place at least so he can help if and when one of the others shows up?? I don't have anything in particular in mind yet since things are just starting.
MANTA Board: I have not yet checked but I would not be against something?? I'm just a bit slower/more tired at the moment with being sick. Bear with meeeee!!!
Event: I will probably top level. I just can't promise how soon exactly. Or I might just tag out, depending on how tired I am. Ruins stuff will be right up his alley though!!

CR Dreams: Friends, allies, people to take advantage of how sheltered and clueless he can be?? fellow history nerds to go probably set off booby traps in ruins with??? idk this game is new so I'm open to things.

Jarlaxle is essentially a high fantasy crimeboss who's decided to take up adventuring as an excuse to get out of the dark miserable hole in the ground that is the Underdark. He's an excellent example of how "nice" doesn't necessarily mean "good", as he's quite charming and tends to come across as friendly and cheerful, while generally having very little emotional attachment to or concern for anyone other than himself (with a few exceptions). He's getting better about it I swear. Jarlaxle is pragmatic and clever, but also quite arrogant and greedy, a flaw that tends to be the source of a lot of his problems.

Abilities: I haven't given too much thought to abilities he can develop yet, but with his tattoo Jarlaxle can cast darkness, dancing lights and faerie fire. He's also a skilled swordsman and marksman with a penchant for drow sleeping poison. He used to have a pretty vast list of fun magical items to use, but he's still got some fun toys left, including a wand of illusory fire and a portable double sided hole.

General: I don't have too many ideas yet aside from settling in. He'll want to go out and meet as many people as possible so he can start carving out a spot for himself here, make as many friends as he can and build up a decent enough reputation with people here.
Event: No plans yet other than being a pain in the ass with Capture the Flag, please plot with me for everything else I'm so lonely.

CR Dreams: I'm good with any and all possible CR, and Jarlaxle is good for any of it too, considering the kind of person he is and can be. I'm fond of rivalries/frenemies stuff, maybe a bit of Cops and Robbers sort of chemistry for the lawful types, he's good for friends and unto an extent romance as well. The only thing I'll ask is if you wanna gun for genuine animosity, please just talk it over with me first! I'm good for that as well but I'd like to to be planned oocly.

A sweet precious little meow meow G'raha has a rather interesting background. He essentially has a PhD in Allagan studies, but he also has what is known as the Allagan Eye - so he has a certain "affinity" for anything dealing with Allag. G'raha locked himself up for like 200 years and then got sent back in time and waited another 100 years to stop a lot of bad things from happening. Then his 300 yr+ soul gets put into his 24 yr old body and poof! It's a fun time.

He's someone who has a huge guilt/martyr complex. Definitely someone who works hard to prove that he's worth having around. That's why G'raha is as helpful as can be. But also bratty and sharp tongued. Excitable from time to time as well. Honestly he is about to be LIVING because ADVENTURE! Like a kid in a candy store tbh.

Abilities:
Healing magic, Destructive magic ( fire, thunder, ice ), Float, Vanish, Break... Sword/Shield skills, and a certain affinity for technology relating to an ancient civilization called Allag. GENERAL HISTORIAN NERDINESS.

Honestly, I'm not sure how I would like for his abilities via that tattoo to develop. He's generally an All-Rounder as is? I'll have to give this some thought.

Just here to have a good time with this cat man. G'raha has always wanted to go adventuring ever since he had been a wee thing. So he is going to see it as an opportunity to do just that! It'll be good for him.

About: I kind of went off in my intro about him, but Xenk is basically Lawful Good personified. He doesn't get wordplay and he doesn't like colloquialisms and he takes everything seriously all the time (most of the time.) He believes that All People Are Good inside, deep down. Or at the very least likes to believe that people Can Be Good if given the chance to redeem themselves. Unless they are Evil and subjugate others and create zombies, in which case they need to be destroyed for the greater good. Xenk is cursed, you see, and he's immortal and has been alive for over a century, so he's seen a lot of things and wants to spread the light of Tyr to every corner of the world if he can. (More details in his app)

Abilities: Xenk is a level 10 Oath of Devotion Paladin (kind of low for being this old tbh) who has a whole list of cool Radiant skills that he uses to smite his foes and take down the undead. I don't plan on developing any unique magic for him, since he values his Oath so highly, but he can Detect Evil and Good, so please let me know if you want or don't want him to vibe check your character by smell alone. If your character gives off demonic/undead vibes, then Xenk would kinda feel that. But likewise if your character is able to detect undead vibes, then they'd be able to sense Xenk's as well.

PLANS

General: I don't have any solid plans for Xenk right now, besides getting him situated and spreading his Lawful Goodness in helping as many people as he can. He is slowly learning how to lie (gasp! no! ok it's complicated) and how to maybe embrace nuance a little bit, but these are things that will happen naturally as he adventures. My realest goal for him is to help as many people as possible and help others discover their best selves. Could he do that by getting his own ship, or something like that? He lives to serve, and that means helping out at the docks, finding seahorses to whisper to, and anything else. If you are interested in a buddy for any MANTA board excursions, consider adding Xenk to your party. The sea horses are my first priority, since every Paladin needs a noble steed to ride, but I'm open to almost anything here.
Event: I'll be top-leveling with Xenk for sure! My plans right now are for Xenk to be involved in the send-off shenanigans (he has friends in Corsair! Delightful!) and for some fun Paladin bonding on the trek over to Elah. I plan to put him on Archive Duty and also join in on the Ancient Castle expedition since that's both a good chance to work together with his fellow Paladins, but also run into some ne'er-do-well Corsairs.

CR Dreams: Rogues and scoundrels for Xenk to judge and befriend. Fellow paladins to find camaraderie with. Any other cursed-types who are defying their cursed lineage and trying to do good despite everything! About: A charmer, magician, and the former captain of a privateering vessel, Alucard usually comes off as an easy-going individual to most and a bit shady to others.

Abilities: In addition to being able to perform fun feats of elemental magic, Alucard can see magic. I have his permissions for that up and would appreciate anyone who wants to take the time to fill it out. I would like to try to develop more abilities for him in the future, but right now I'm content with what he's got.

PLANS

General: Short term, Alucard has been struggling with his pride and a cultural aversion to getting a tattoo to regain his magic. With the announcement that everyone is shipping out from Eltrut for a month, he's finally going to cave and get it. Before then, however, he will be participating in the games as a normie. I would love for him to make connections, either friendly or antagonistic, with people who have no idea who they are dealing with, and then letting them get rewards or consequences of that in the future.

Long term, I intend for Alucard to captain one of the Paladin's ships and thus am looking for potential members. He is definitely a moral grey type of person leaning more towards good, so someone who is not willing to bend the rules a little or be distracted while they are is probably not a great fit. I actually wouldn't mind playing out a line of that nature, where expectations on either side as captain and crew member were confused, and conflict that arises from that. Neither Alucard or I know if he's going to be more interested in exploring or privateering, though you can bet either way getting his crew paid is a priority.

MANTA Board: I'm interested in all three Paladin prompts, though the mine is likely to bring some bad memories for Alucard. I also like Woody Rarities and also volunteer Alucard as a recipient of Bottle Voyage for anyone who wants to go with that! His inbox is already up in his journal.

One idea I did have was for the vigilante quest. I think Alucard would probably want to just find that person and talk them out of doing it instead of turning them in, either temporarily or permanently. Doing this secures him a contact in the shopkeeper, maybe even an actual monetary reward for the tip off. As for the thieves, he would probably likewise try to gain contacts through telling them which area of the city (so the shopkeep can stay anonymous) not to fuck with anymore and not capturing them. I would be up for an accomplice here (who might have ideas of their own) or someone to argue with him over it.

Event: I will probably be top-leveling a few prompts for anyone to engage with, but am happy to craft some custom starters from there. The two Eltrut going-away events will be in the top-level for sure. Some quests (like the mine and vigilante) I only feel comfortable writing with people I've planned some things out with in advanced.

CR Dreams: I think I've well enough said what I'm interested in as far as CR goes. I can offer in turn someone who is an easy flirt (with hang-ups, so not likely to follow through), a competent spellcaster, a mischief-maker, and the sort of person who will be nosy about interesting people without being deterred by churlish reactions.

Abilities: Being part Gear (thanks Sin), Ky has all the benefits of being one- superhuman speed, strength, reaction time, the works. This was a fairly recent development in the canon, only confirmed in Strive, but still important to say. Ky also has complete command of lightning, and Thunderseal (his sword) only amplifies that control. He’s really good at magic- so much so that he’s gonna be real excited to learn different kinds of magic- at least, the ones he doesn’t know naturally- through the tattoo. He’s a nerd and he doesn’t hide it too much. Ky’s going to be hella confused when his chords don’t work.

General: The plan is to have Ky really dig deep within the Paladin’s ranks to figure out if he’s a right fit for them. Call it a hunch but he’s sure them Paladins aren’t really what they seem. If Ky’s disillusioned enough, he can definitely sway and even shift armadas to the Corsairs! It’s all about letting my nerd really refine and follow his own sense of justice and order.

She is loyal to a fault, stung by the bitter bite of betrayal (looking at you, Cid), and deep down, she is a woman who has sought love and validation in all the wrong places...

Abilities: Benedikta is a skilled spy as well as swordswoman, and being the Dominant of Garuda grants her access to power wind-based magic, as well as the ability to transform into Garuda herself.

🍃 MAGIC: In canon, she can wield strong wind magic, such as summoning tornadoes and violent gales, and can also teleport herself and anyone else she chooses to another location. Benedikta can also summon her egis, Suparna and Chirada (wind-based elementals). In Escordvi, I'd like for her to develop at least most (if not all) of this magic through her tattoo, and she has already started practicing plenty.

🍃 GARUDA: Being the Dominant of Garuda, she is able to take on two forms of the Eikon: semi-primed and fully primed by drawing upon her aether. When she is semi-primed, she grows a set of large feathered wings, has glowing green marks over her skin, and bright blue eyes. She is fast, agile, and powerful, and can summon claws that are large enough to tear apart buildings. When she is primed, she transforms into the much larger version of her Eikon. Under Garuda's influence, she can summon powerful, devastating wind storms. However, until she experiences a strong emotional trigger, Garuda will be taking on an itty bitty form.

General: Spoilers ahead!

🍃 She will mainly be dealing with the fact that she is dead in canon by trying to make a name and finding a place for herself here where that won't happen again. She is incredibly self-preserving and will do whatever she can do to make sure that she is secure.
🍃 Lots of cast drama incoming, as well as a priming into Garuda's full form in the near future so keep an eye out for those wind storms.
🍃 I really want her to lure someone into stealing a ship with her and then try to ditch them on some remote island someday.
🍃 On that note, she will probably be stealing many a ship, placing bounties on people's heads just because she doesn't like them (with player permission of course!), and just sowing some chaos in general because she hates the world. So if anyone is interested in any of those things, points at my eyes, points at you.
🍃 She will also be trying to recruit others to her cause and her crew by using whatever tactics she can to manipulate people. Or, if you're just looking for a place where you don't have to follow the rules (except for hers), then /gestures.
🍃 While I'm not looking to fully redeem her (because let's be real, she is far from fully redeemable), my main goal for her is to eventually come to terms with everything she's done wrong. She's gotten a taste of that after what happened in canon before arriving, but still has a long way to go before she accepts it. I have some plans in the works for how that's going to come about, but it's going to be a long journey to get there.

CR Dreams: Honestly, I'm great with any kind of CR but Benedikta isn't the most pleasant person (actually, far from it) so anyone who is okay with some negative CR would be ideal. People she can manipulate into doing her bidding, or people she can team up with and then betray later, whether they are paladin or corsair, she will take them. I have discovered that she does have a bit of a soft spot for younger girls who have had troubled pasts, so that would be a fun thing to explore! Also, I love pitting her against people who are really good at getting under her skin. But honestly, just give me all kinds of CR, I'm here for it.

About: Reaper is more or less a mercenary described as death itself given how terrifying he can actually be; dramatic and edgy as hell, but the man has the skills to back it up when he feels the need strike given the years of military training and time spent being head of a black ops. organization- that and being genetically enhanced as a super soldier, and an energy devouring wraith-like being made of nanites.

He can be both morbidly playful, and then downright serious when it comes to working with people and the mission at hand. A dark sense of humor, dramatic death-ly aesthetic, and very willing to make that everyone else's problem outside of a few specifics he may grow attached to; still likely to tease and troll those chosen few if they come to exist.

Can very much be a hardass, and even now there is the rare soft-spot if he sees someone does genuinely need help and they might be useful to have on his side later. Some of it a play of advantages and usefulness, whatever is necessary at the time. Whatever may give advantage to the goals at hand, and names kept in mind from then on out.

Abilities: As said above, Reaper is essentially a genetically enhanced super soldier -think captain america if ya gotta- on top of also being a genetically created nanite-cloud wraith that isn't alive, but isn't dead either; most things don't pick him up as a living being. He's capable of taking on a wraith form that makes him quick and temporarily invulnerable, and other neat little tricks that make him really damned good at stealth.

I plan on that tattoo of his enhancing the shadow/dark qualities of what he already has, allowing him a deeper manipulation of shadows and more or less playing up on being a spooky scary cryptid of an old man. Might add onto this as time goes on, and he picks up on other useful magical items and the like.

General: Basically I'm letting this man loose to be some of his most dramatic and best self- he is the type to throw all in if he's stuck in a place like this and damn well blend in; reason he's already made himself an outfit to blend in better, while sticking to his own aesthetic. Claws and mask ofc a part of the entire general look.

Other than that? I'm honestly up for seeing what sort of character arc he can get out of this place.

CR Dreams: I'm down for almost anything, vague and unhelpful as that sounds. It's not hard to get negative CR with Reaper given the type of personality and everything he carries, but positive is also just as easy to work out depending on the situation. Do you want your character to somehow end up with a weird cryptid grandpa that while grumping and growling will actually help out and be reliable in a tight spot? Reaper's surprisingly good at that.

He's also good at playing part of just another set of muscles, acting as if all he can do is follow orders- and follow them well, unless he ever sees a need that will play to his own advantage to let something... slip. All for playing to his own goals, hopping from here to there depending on what suits him at the time.

About: Jill is a woman who is starting to grow into her own person after spending thirteen years in captivity and being forced to become a warmachine for a less than savory nation. For the last five years, she's spent her newfound freedom joining up with one Cid and one Clive in their plan of changing the world for the better, especially for Dominants like her and the Bearers, people who can use magick without the need of a crystal.

She's empathetic and sympathetic to those who are in need, friendly and polite to people who are likewise to her, and has a desire to travel the world and experience the things that will be new to her. However, Jill can be stubborn and will drop the polite routine and become rude if someone dehumanizes her (she's had enough of that, thank you very much!) or towards people who she considers enemies. I'd be a fool if I didn't mention how close she is to Clive... like attached at the hip close. One will most likely find her near him, if not behind him, supporting him like the good potential wife friend she is. Her loyalty to him runs deep and gods forbid you talk bad about him in front of her.

Abilities:

To begin with, Jill was enjoying the idea of a magickless life as she was already suffering from the petrification curse that all her world's magick user eventually get. Unfortunately, Dominants are not safe from that. Plus the idea of a tattoo kind of read too closely to how Bearers are marked to identify them.

However, a chance encounter with someone who should have been long dead made Jill realize she was at a true disavange without the tattoo, so that changed her mind real quick. Her mark is of a small snow daisy on her right wrist which will usually be covered by her glove or sleeve. Her ice spells will mostly consist of ice walls, icy rocks, freezing sea mist for stealth coverage, and ice spikes as defense.

She will be able to semi-prime with the tattoo and once she gets the require emotional trigger for full priming (transforming into Shiva completely), Jill will realize that her usual larger than life form is teeny weeny now because we've gotta have limitations in game.

Also, she has her rapier with her and Jill is quite skilled in using it.

PLANS

General: Right now, Jill will be trying her best to get settled in a new world, exploring the strange food scene (WHAT'S A BUFFALO AND WHY DO THEY HAVE WINGS?), hopefully avoiding any enemies from her world and making friends because I said so.

MANTA Board: She will help with dock repair! What better way to get the job done faster than to have someone freeze a patch of sea for you to stand on? Unconventional Couture would be good for her along with Traded Secrets.

Event: I'll try to top level, but as I'm in the midst of packing for a move, I can't promise that. I can promise to tag around, though!

CR Dreams: Jill needs friendship! She's in her 30s and a little inexperienced in the ways of life for valid reasons, so people closer or just a tad younger than her would be great. This doesn't mean she will refuse to speak to younger characters--she absolutely will and probably end up befriending them anyway--but I, personally, wouldn't mind her having CR with older adults.

Negative CR is welcome too. She already has one person here that presses her buttons and I am sure there will be plenty of Paladins and Corsairs both that drive her batty.

About: Toge is the kind of guy who's a bit of a playful troll in personality, but he's generally very caring and he'll throw down his life for those he cares about. He grew up extremely sheltered in the Jujutsu Sorcerer underground, and hasn't known a whole lot outside of that life as a clan kid. His high school experience is kind of like on-the-job training as a curse exorcist. He's very good at it.

Most notable is his rice ball cipher. Due to his abilities, Toge cannot speak in ordinary language, but rather has ten or so safe words. It's a bit of a learning curve, but he's got body language and at the worst - text to help him out. His shellphone should have text to speech enabled for him due to the nature of his affliction. Spend enough time with him and those simple words will be sentences to the right listener.

Abilities: Toge is afflicted with the ability of Cursed Speech. Unlike most abilities, he cannot turn this off. His voice triggers the effect and it forces people to do as he says, unless they know how to block it or they can't hear him. It has massive power with a massive trade off - overuse will cause severe injury to the point his vocal chords might snap, or worse. He can be cursed by his own speech. This is the reason he speaks in his own made up language containing rice ball ingredients. He is an excellent self-regulator and I always leave many opt-outs but please do not hesitate to contact me about this ability should something not suit your vision.

As this is not elemental magic, but curse-energy based, his element of choice for his tattoo will be ice. He's probably going to have fun with that, creating things like snowflakes. I don't expect him to do very much with it in the beginning, but just maybe he can tap into that energy he literally can't expend curse-wise because his body always gives out first.

General: Toge really wants to revel in some freedom for a change. He's had a very structured life and a lack of choices and he's really going to love the whole pirate vibe. He might also learn a thing or two about himself in the process.

MANTA Board: He'd like to take a crack at seahorse whispering, although obviously not literally. But he can be a very gentle person they might be able to connect with on a quiet, body language kind of level. He can also be tapped for the caviar prompt - and he'd love to learn the secrets of the soup. He's a bit of a cook, you know?

Event: So many good prompts though! I will definitely be top leveling and tagging around. If you want a communication challenge, hit me up!

CR Dreams: Toge should get a chance to meet people from all kinds of walks of life and get out an experience the world a little bit! It would be nice to make more friends too, since his are back home. He's never been great at that. He'd also like to have people understand him someday.

He quickly gets along with others and often encourages them to do their best and can often be seen as having a very puppy-like personality. He might not be the smartest guy around but boy does he have spirit.

Abilities:

🐺 Not only is Zack a biologically enhanced super soldier he is also a final fantasy character which gives him access to a plethora of things like magic, healing spells, summons, super strength, massive anime swords, and more. He can do ridiculous things like summon a tonberry that can stab you, dance with a cactuar that spits 1000 needles or even kick you with a chocobo. he can also summon a helicopter He also has access to summons such as Ifrit and Bahamut and he may accidentally summon some of the FFXVI cast in the future.

🐺 Some of these things will be reduced in power coming into the game like his Odin's Zantetsuken will only inflict killing blows on weaker monsters and heavy damage on stronger ones. But with time I hope to regain his skills with all his monster summons and his materia use.

🐺 Short-term is getting Zack settled into the game. He's coming from a canon point where he was at death's door so he's pretty sure he should be dead right now. It will take some time for him to accept what is going on. And to adjust to the fact that some of the people he knows are here and he has somehow found them and that they're okay (mostly).

🐺 Getting right to work doing PALADIN work. He is a so gung-ho about getting to help people and uphold the rules and to protect the nerds who wanna do research for the paladin ships. I also really hope to have him meet and team up with other paladins.

About: Info post here! In brief, Faris was born a princess, raised a pirate, is genderfluid pronouns yarr/harr. She joined a quest to save the world in order to find answers about her past and slowly became a bit heroic in the process. She's also a dyed-in-the-wool pirate who will start a barfight at the drop of a tankard, once dove into a whirlpool and came out with a dragon, and has a tendency to react to any event she hates by yelling that it isn't actually happening. She has a bit of a soft spot for adventurers, determin'dly heroic sorts, and anyone ornery enough to stand up to her when she's in a piratey mood.


Abilities:
Canon: Faris learned his skillset through the almighty power of DRESSING UP with the spirits of long-ago warriors resting in crystal shards. Although the shards aren't with him anymore, he still knows the skills that he mastered under their tutelage. He has a lot of agile utility skills from the Thief, the ability to jump real high and come down real hard from the Dragoon, and the ability to summon a tiny cannon out of hammerspace and mix up a little of this & a little of that to create explosions of various effects.

Event: I used to love Legends of the Hidden Temple so I am for sure going to shove Faris into it; if you've got a Paladin and you want to team up with him at the sendoff, PLEASE.

At the corsair base, Faris will be keen on exploring the island (and doing some ziplining). He'll also join the Unethical Archaeology expedition (so if you've got an Honest Archaeologist Paladin and want an altercation, I'm down)! He won't be interested in any of the "hunt a creature for its body parts" missions, having borrowed bad memories from his sister there. The exception there is the mantis shrimp since it's running around eating people.

CR Dreams:
- Other pirates: This one is obvious, but Faris is going to be 1. very interested in meeting pirates from other worlds and bragging swapping stories, as well as working together without having to restrain herself from being less nice than she's gotten used to. And 2. relieved to be hanging around people who understand that sometimes a good old barfight is just the thing you need.
- But also everyone else: Faris' party in canon includes the most absurdly altruistic princess in all Final Fantasy, a hobo with a chocobo, an ornery old coot from another planet, and his impish granddaughter. So in spite of Faris' professed preference for pirates, she would actually take an interest in anyone resembling the above. Because of that, Faris is pretty willing to team up with a lot of different folks for Mantaboard things or monthly missions. She's also willing to help the less piratical sorts find their bearings, if they catch her interest in the right way.

Or if you just want to have a blazing row, honestly, Faris is pretty good for that too. I'm down for some negative CR!

About: she's one of the game's main protagonists. She's a mage and an armored fighter type. She's wound very tightly, but she is kind and amiable in her own way. Think a knight, but also a rebel princess.

Abilities: Ashe is a pretty talented melee fighter, and a mage that's focused mostly on offensive spells. And she can summon two giant monsters to fight for her.

PLANS

General: My long term goal is for Ashe to learn to open up about her traumas and to accept what she can. This is going to be a long, long process, and will probably not be easy even if she wants to. She's been through hell, and isn't really an open person to begin with. I would, in the short term, really just like for her to make One Friend and to get to know people. It'll be an enormous help for her to adjust to not having the responsibility of home on her shoulders.
MANTA Board: I'd be totally up for most of the Manta quests. Seahorse Whisperers, Woody Rarities, Unconventional Couture, and either of the Bounty quests would be the ones that stand out most to me.
Event: I'm thinking of top leveling, but haven't decided just yet!
CR Dreams: I can offer the most loyal, dogged friend CR you could ever ask for. I could also offer some of the coldest, pettiest, and most belligerent CR you could want! Or an extremely, extremely slow burn found family (or possibly romance!) too. I'm kind of wide open, but my goal is for Ashe to gain a really tight knit friendship with at least one person. Anything more is extra!

About: For those who aren't familiar with this latest version of Final Fantasy's "Cid," he's one of the older characters who leads a group of outlaws working to change the world's current system in treating magic users, making a name for himself as an outlaw in doing so. The Dominant of Ramuh, he's capable of using and turning into the Eikon Ramuh himself. Goodnatured, friendly, classic rogue, with enough wit and Dad jokes to help lighten any heavy situation. With his experience and endless worldly wisdom, he's the perfect mentor for any young lad who is going through a self-identity crisis and angst. Oh that's just Clive—but he can be a mentor or father figure for anyone who needs it, too. He is also a brilliant inventor and bit of an engineer.

There will definitely be spoilers since he'll be after a certain canon point. I usually try not to reference canon events with non-castmates, but I'll be sure to mark them just in case. Between castmates, well, read those threads at your own risk— Spoilers, spoilers everywhere. For more info, he has a profile sheet here.

Abilities: Pretty much all things lightning for this old man. He'll have his canon movesets as well as me being a bit creative because well we only see a limited set and the tattoo will allow him some more creativity. He can semi-prime and turn all purple to have access to even stronger attacks, and then he can prime into the Eikon Ramuh himself. But due to nerfing, when he primes into Ramuh he'll be very tiny at first until gains more power and all that. Even that will require an emotional trigger so IT'LL BE A WHILE MAYBE.

BONUS SUMMON OPTION: If there are ever any characters who can summon Ramuh, especially in other Final Fantasy casts, you can have Cid appear instead. 8D

PLANS

General: CURRENTLY I don't have too much planned outside of cast shenanigans. It's still a toss up whether Cid or Clive will be captaining their inevitable crew ship, but that will likely happen at some point. He will also...probably...try to design or redesign this ship and make their own upgrades lmfao. If no one stops him he might even start delving into the magitech and try to start making things. Telamon Tech Industries coming soon— Otherwise, Cid is quite content to just learn more about the world and explore it, see what all there is to it. Given how different it is from his world, he'd like to see how the lifestyle is working since it aligns similar to his own visions. Other than that, just tackling things and making CR. Adopt kids probably IDK.

MANTA Board: Can I say all—okay now, I may actually end up making a catchall log for these, so if I do I'd focus on: Seahorse Whisperers, Woody Rarities, Giga Mantis Shrimp (weak to lightning ho ho), Horned Dolphin (might be able to help make that fog if he has someone who can use ice magic).

Event: Topleveling for sure, but I'll also be on the lookout for place to tag. I'm also up for pre-planned threads! Otherwise, I'll have Sailor Warrior, Capture the Flag, pretty much all of the Black Market prompts, and I think he may choose Ring of Returning as that's a good "emergency quick escape."

CR Dreams: ANYTHING. Cid can make CR with anyone, and he can be an annoying rival or enemy depending who they are. He will always have a soft heart towards kids and young adults, so if anyone needs a father figure or mentor, he's a good candidate! Characters that are also into the tech, engineering, or sciences will also pique his interest.

About: Kotori is one of the protagonists in a cooking slice-of-life where she gives cooking lessons to her widowed high school teacher and his preschool daughter, despite not cooking herself due to her fear of knives. On the surface, Kotori is a shy, easily anxious and flustered, completely ordinary teenage girl who looks and feels VERY out of place in a pirate isekai. But underneath is a somewhat lonely heart looking for people to care for, and a VERY enthusiastic passion for food, with an appetite and sometimes encyclopedic knowledge to match. She can even have a surprising (even to her) impulsive streak at times, especially when it comes to helping out others. The only thing really holding her back from being a great and confident chef is a fear of kitchen knives, stemmed from cutting herself when she was younger.

Abilities: Kotori has ZERO powers in canon. Just plain, ordinary human girl. Right now she's squeamish about the idea of a tattoo, because squeamish, but Eventually I might have her be encouraged into getting a tattoo to do with healing, air, or lightning, or some other element that might be useful with cooking.

PLANS

General: Short term: Get Kotori a crew and meet people, start looking into cooking and potion making, have people nudge her out of her comfort zone. Long term... I'll see where the wind takes me. Part of the draw for her is seeing how the canon helps her grow in ways she wouldn't consider back in her world.
MANTA Board: If there's a food quest, Kotori will be on it! And she can be talked into other quests as well, of course.
Event: Definitely top-leveling, but still need to decide on prompts. If you need a Paladin for anything, definitely hit me up!

CR Dreams: All the friends, especially more teens her age, and doubly especially anyone who wants to cook or make potions with her. Doesn't have to be Paladin either; she's already unknowingly made quite a few acquaintances on the Corsair side that she's getting along with. She also inexplicably develops crushes on guys, but it's VERY early still and she needs to find her sea legs first.

About: Without giving any spoilers Clive is just... basically a giant dog (affectionate). He looks intimidating on the outside due to a lot of bad things that's happened in his past, and is a little jaded on his world view. But he got better!! He's pretty friendly and will literally help anyone who needs it! So as long as you can get past the initial brutey self, he's a great companion to have!

CLIVE ALSO HAS A WOLF NAME TORGAL. He'll be tagging around Clive and assisting him on his adventures. He loves pets, please pet him!

Abilities: God... he... just has so many AHAHA. You can check out my abilities section on my application, but basically Clive is a sponge for a ton of elemental power. For this game specially though, he's only going to limit himself to his fire magic that he obtains by being the Dominant Ifrit. He may acquire more as the game goes on, but for the time being you'll likely see a miniature Ifrit if things get too heated (applause).

ALSO SOMETHING TO NOTE if a character can actually summon Ifrit, Clive will happily come in its place! But that's something we can plot out whenever!

PLANS

General: A new world means new adjustments and trying to deal with the ghosts of his past. Clive will likely try to establish his life here while dealing with the old. I can certainly see him becoming a great first mate for a crew and keeping with his goal of helping others when he can.

About: Balthier is the quintessential sky pirate, being dashing, bold and clever, and he'll waste little time in reminding people of such if it ever comes into question. He's also a gifted engineer with a knack for all things mechanical; while he much prefers the sky to sailing the sea, once he gets past his initial grumbling, it's going to be near impossible for him to do anything but throw himself into adventure full-tilt. He has an info page here and an app over here for general stats and more in-depth info, but he's quickly going to find himself right at home among the Corsairs. He's been eager to sink his teeth into a new adventure, anyway— he's been on a forced sabbatical from piracy a bit too long for his liking due to injury.

Abilities: He has some pretty basic support magic at his disposal, accessible now that he has his tattoo, but he's always been more of a physical combatant, whether it's with guns or poles/quarterstaves. He'll be interested in finding ways to develop other gadgets he might use for combat or other purposes, but he isn't against the idea of using those tattoos to develop new abilities if the opportunity arises— it's just not immediately on his mind.

PLANS

General: In the short-term, he's going to throw himself into things and keep pretty busy— he's the curious sort who has to stick his finger into every pie, so he'll be all over the place during this maiden voyage. In the long-term, he's used to being captain of his own ship and doesn't do well with taking orders, being the leading man and all, so getting a ship of his own will definitely be on his radar as he gets a foothold for himself.

MANTA Board: Potential for both the Woody Rarities and Seahorse Whisperers! He'll also be assisting with dockside repairs; despite his appearances, he's not afraid to get his hands dirty and his background in engineering means he's quite handy.

Event: I'm planning to top-level on the opening log since he tagged out for the TDM! Specific prompts not decided yet, but it should include both Corsair base and MANTA board things.

CR Dreams: Friends, crewmates, RIVALS. He's all for being friendly with folks in the Paladins— it pays to have connections everywhere— and he would love to talk to anyone else who's mechanically minded. He's quite social and makes acquaintances easily; real friends are more difficult to come by for him, but he's become a little more open to bonding over the last couple of years. He's also a huge nerd and will be found doing all kinds of research and studying available maps while drawing up his own during various tasks and outings. There's always a chance he'll butt heads with other Big Personalities since he likes to be the center of attention, but it's usually in good fun.

About: Astarion is a vampire spawn and a rogue, who was recently given the ability to walk in the sun again after 200 years! He'll do whatever it takes to complete his goals, whether it's theft, or using his body, or murder. He tends to start relationships by trying to manipulate people, which is sometimes via flirting. But underneath all his layers of complication is a sad person and under that is someone who probably wants to do the right thing. He can be quick to judge based on who he thinks will help him and who won't and can come off kind of catty when he doesn't approve of actions, but keep working at him and good cr might still come of it.

Abilities: He's a competent rogue and is great at theft and stabbing people in the back! He's got some latent magical talents that he doesn't use much, which I'd like to learn in the long term. He doesn't have a tattoo yet, but he'll get one eventually.

PLANS

General: In the long term, I'm looking forward to him settling in and making friends and rivals! The longer he's here, the more likely he is to feel safe. He's not necessarily against staying here if his problems from home don't catch up to him, so I'm excited for him to start to become his own person and find a space for himself in this world.
MANTA Board: I'm happy to receive any messages in a bottle! You might get something really snarky or really well written, depending. Aside from that, Astarion will also be showing off his pickpocketing skills and dressing up.
Event: I think I'll be putting up log for the month because there's a lot I want to do with him. He's going to be settling into his new home on the base, which is a big deal for him! He'll also be participating in the corsair quests (stealing from homes, going to the archives, delivering packages) because, despite claiming he doesn't care, he actually can be persuaded to do things. Also because these work well for his skillset. I'm totally down for teaming up with other corsairs, rivalry with other corsairs for better hauls, or paladins trying to catch him in the act.

CR Dreams: I just want him to get a wealth of experience!!! It's hard for me to say exactly how he'll respond to every character because he's temperamental, but you might get fun flirty Astarion or catty sarcastic Astarion and I think they're both fun.

General: March's priorities will be making friends and finding people to start a crew with. She's used to traveling with her family people who are very dear to her, and she'll want to replicate that here as quickly as possible. Given her general lack of leadership skills, however, it might be a bit of a tall order.
Event: I'll probably stick to tagging out for the event. I'm especially interested in Capture the Flag (I hear someone might be stealing a Paladin ship to capture their flag, which is CHEATING and she WILL DO WHAT SHE CAN TO STOP IT) and her exploring Elah. But really I'm down for anything.

CR Dreams: EVERYTHING. Grumpy and quiet types for her to inflict herself on, fellow extroverts for her to chatter with, people with brain cells to talk her down from stupid ideas, and anything in between!
