CR WORKSHIP: MAY 2026

Our ~~CR Meme~~ CR Workship is where players can drop all the cool info for their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. Be sure to look over the MANTA Board as well as current events if you'd like to include them in your post.

To help coordinate specific plots for players, we have a few designated toplevels that can be used to highlight particular plots, scenarios, etc. These can be useful for players who may not want to write a full comment but have ideas. Players who do write full CR comments can still use these toplevels and link their comment if you have your ideas in there instead.

Crew Recruitment. Players can make OOC ad posts for others to join, looking to join, or make a crew. This is all for OOC coordination, so you'll have to figure out how it works ICly.
Event Plotting. If there is something specific that you'd like to do or there is a prompt that you're interested in that may require more coordination, this is the place to try and hash it out! This is not for general plotting, such as "I will be doing A, B, and C;" please save those for general meme comments! Here is recap of the event notes from the Captain's Log for easy reference:
- This month there will be a mini log featuring the Festival of the Whales that will go up on Saturday, May 9th. It is in commemoration of the tragedy that occurred last year where whales were hunted, mutilated, and crystalized along with other people who were abducted. It is also in hopes to appease the leviathan, Enysos.
- Strange dark water is spreading throughout the ocean that is not harming anything, per se, however it is making the marine life more hostile. There is also a giant catfish that will emerge near the end of the festival and must be stopped.
- Meanwhile, the MANTA Board is filled with strange quests made by the "Namazu."
Side Plotting. This is for any personal plots or MANTA Board quests that require more coordination, perhaps to bring about a resolution or make an important discovery of some kind. Like with the Event toplevel, this is NOT for generic plotting that would fit a general meme comment.

- Ever wanted to narrate your thoughts and actions like in a play? No? Too bad it's happening now.
- The Grand Sipsa has appeared! Will you be drawn to the strange fishes to its even stranger island, or will you try to stop those who are under its effects? Will you become a fish?
- Strange sun and moon islands have appeared out of hiding and are trying to spread their influence! But their attempts went haywire when the ancient relic they tried to use exploded and the fragments are now affecting the weather everywhere. So not only do these weird sun and moon people need to be stopped, but there's also relic fragments to try and find to fix the weather.

This month is a mini MANTA log featuring the hunting competition. Players are welcome to make up their own creatures and locations! If you have an idea, definitely comment to this toplevel.
Current Event Notes Recap:
- Mini MANTA log instead of a full blown that will go up on Monday, November 10.
- Month long hunting competition for hunters to show off their skills and either keep their kills or donate to islands and villages who may need additional supplies for the upcoming winter months.
- The log will have examples of beasts and feature special targets (currently no known previews but can assume there will be powerful beasties). Island exploration will also be possible.
- There will be other potential sources of conflict such as encounters with poachers, kill stealers, illegal traders, etc. Players will also have freedom to create NPCs and organizations for this.
- There will be a disruption of baby pearly crabs and a surprise giant pearl crab appearing. The result of the crabs is open ended and will be determined by character action.
- Other quests can be included or occur within the log, particularly the Bread Curse Continues as it features some special creatures and locations.
- A large feast will be included at the log that is forward dated to the end of the month. Cooks will be able to showcase their skills here, and the feast also serves as a general mingling opportunity.

An abbreviated version of our CR Workship! Same concept, just a lot smaller. If you have multiple characters, make an individual toplevel for yourself with your player info and comment to it with each character separately.

We also include a designated toplevel for Crew Recruitment where players can make OOC ad posts for others to either join or request to join or make a crew. This is all for OOC coordination, so you'll have to figure out how it works ICly.
