Our CR Meme CR Workship is where players can drop all the cool info for their characters and try to plot with others to continue existing or create new CR. Be sure to look over the MANTA Board as well as current events if you'd like to include them in your post.

We also include a designated toplevel for Crew Recruitment where players can make OOC ad posts for others to either join or request to join or make a crew. This is all for OOC coordination, so you'll have to figure out how it works ICly.

If you have multiple characters, make an individual toplevel for yourself with your player info and comment to it with each character separately.

About: A thousand year old plant fairy who accidentally brought the Three Realms' greatest "evil" back into the world, but it's fine because she accidentally and unknowingly placed a curse on him. Now he's her personal gardener. I mean, she has him practically wrapped around her little finger. Whoops, he is her protector. Dongfang Qingcang plays Hades to her Persephone and kidnaps her to his realm after the other fairies decide she's a traitor for being connected to him, she falls in love with him and tries to make him a better person. She isn't much of a fighter, but if she gets hurt, please fear the wrath of her gardener.

To those with Dendro power, she'll read as Aranara for now, but is secretly Nahida.

Abilities: Abilities are here. I don't have any solid plans to develop abilities, maybe better healing, and plant control.

PLANS

General: She will be Daqiang's handler, from now on. While helping him redevelop his emotions and humanity. Become stronger in her own right, but I want her to make all the friends to help look after her. Exploring the world and gaining more experience because she's seriously lacking. There is an eventual idea to deal with uh... a life-killing curse that is currently attached to her, but is dormant at this moment. Otherwise, just seeing how this game will help Orchid develop into a beautiful flower. Oh, plant collection; she wants all the plants.
MANTA Board:
- Spring Sprung Slugs; Orchid will be interested in this slime that has healing properties and will want to collect some just in case.
- Who lives in a pineapple; she needs the seeds, okay?
Event: Orchid will investigate the new island, she's a very trusting person, okay? Nothing really beyond that for the event so hit me up here for more plotting. I will likely tag out for it.

CR Dreams: Friends, people who pretty much adopt her, people who will teach her to at least protect herself, people she can protect. Orchid is the most loyal friend a person could ever have, seriously; someone could betray her and she'd still protect them. She will be a little nosy about their business, and try to help them with the whole goodness of her heart.

About: Roxas is the Nobody of series protagonist Sora. Or former Nobody, it gets a bit weird. Regardless, he's recently gained a body of his own and was all set to start living his life properly as a normal kid and ended up here instead. He's a little less than thrilled at having his plans messed with but you do what you gotta, even if that means dealing with seasickness and the big scary ocean.

Roxas himself is a pretty easy going kid. He's very much a teenager and doesn't trust super easily. He's fairly cautious, unless you manage to rile his temper up. But it's also pretty easy to break through that veneer and reveal the good kid underneath.

Abilities: Roxas can wield two keyblades and has access to your classic FF/KH magic set, with fire, ice, wind, thunder and cure. He tends to rely on those rather than any tattoo granted abilities.

PLANS

General: -Really need to get Roxas out and exploring some more. Just, get into adventures and scrapes and all those things. Fall into into some ruins, get lost in the jungle, all that.

-He's part of a crew now and is still figuring that out. It's the first time he's really chosen something like this and it is. Very new to him.

-Really just looking to expand his horizons and give him the chance to really start living a life. He hasn't had much of a chance up until now.

Event: There might be a small top-level but beyond that I'm not going to be doing too much. Roxas is definitely going to be more honest during the month so if you have any questions you want to ask, now would be the time!

He does have a Top Level at the Plus Ultra Crew log and that's probably the best place to find him for the month.

CR Dreams: Friends, pals, mentors! Really all sorts of CR is welcome with Roxas!

Etc.: I am on a low-key hiatus this month so I'm trying not to do too much, and will also be kind of slow throughout the month. But Roxas will be around! Thank you for your patience.

About: Darin is a big, loud, excitable, somewhat over-zealous, muscly blacksmith with a heart of gold despite his reluctance to be more than just a blacksmith. He's got abilities that he tries his best to hide; specifically super strength and resilience. He will likely be failing at this a lot and it is encouraged to needle him about it if you're interested in unlocking his tragic backstory. He's with the corsairs and, while he hates pirates, may or may not try and sabotage any efforts made by said pirates right under their nose if it means people could get hurt.

Abilities: Darin has super strength and resilience thanks to his demonic bloodline that he honestly hates. He's spent his life hiding these abilities because of being branded 'cursed' and 'a monster' by pretty much everyone he met. He also has transmutation magic but he doesn't even know about it yet and likely won't for a very long time. He's definitely interested in getting a tattoo that would allow him to work with metal, but he might need some convincing.

PLANS

General: Since he just arrived, taking on jobs and getting a feel for the world is his biggest priority right now. Over time, I'd love for him to be able to set up a forge and beyond that? It depends entirely on where his CR takes him.

CR Dreams: I'm good for all kinds of CR so long as both parties get something out of it. I'd love a villain to be a big damn hero against but I'm also here for Darin to be put through his physical and emotional paces. To me, the only bad CR is CR that both players don't enjoy.

About: Crowley was a cheery little angel once, who happily made stars and nebulae. Then he fell in with a bad crowd, and fell further into Hell on account of his tendency to incessantly ask questions and be really fucking annoying.

He's still very much the latter, just marginally more Evil about it.

Abilities: Demonic miracles, blessings, bizarre and metaphysical anatomy, a weakness to holy/sacred things etc. Since there's so much variety in what angels and demons are capable of, refer to the app for more detail and his permission post for any opt-ins.

I'd love to have his multitude of weaknesses exploited, and for his powers to come in handy in tight corners while Crowley plays it off as mere luck, because he's a little shit like that.

PLANS

General: Nothing solid yet. I HC that Crowley dabbled in piracy back in the 17th-18th centuries so he may be re-living some fond memories while he gets the lay of the land (so to speak), building alliances with his fellow rift-farers and getting comfortable in what is, for the foreseeable future, his new home.

He misses his car and Aziraphale's bookshop, but damn if he isn't delighted to be free from the influences of Heaven and Hell.

MANTA Board: oh god, are you kidding me, he's going to so be making and selling bootleg Dragon Heat, it will be terrible. He will also def be doing 2 truths and a lie and threatening growing undersea pineapples. They will be the, juiciest, most luscious, sweetest pineapples that ever grew if they know what's good for them.
Event: Crowley is very curious so of course he's going to investigate the island, and become insufferably optimistic about everything. I'm so sorry.

CR Dreams: /Grabby hands all of it please. Friends, enemies, frienemies, I love any and all CR. Crowley is very easy to bounce around, but he's also capable of being very grating so it's not hard for him to get negative CR (+ the whole demon thing).

About: Magic, Science, and all-the-ways-they-mix Research Team! There are a lot of forgotten relics, forsaken lands, and forbidden arts lost to the waves and time. The Raiders of the Lost Arts are dedicated to finding, researching, and potentially utilizing whatever they can find. Legal methods of acquiring information and research materials may or may not be followed.
Pitch: The Phantom Moon has started to explore the world away from the Leviathans to make new discoveries, further their own research projects, and generally be a nuisance to the wildlife of whatever islands they encounter. As such, there will be regular crew logs every couple-three months to cover the span of time they are out to sea.

The Phantom Moon is currently docked at Nogard's main port: Fang, but can be assumed to do a few day- or week- sails during the month of March for Manta Quest and Event shenanigans.

We have two requirements:
1.) Characters speak to and/or know someone already on the crew. This only means that there is an IC chain of how a character got introduced to the crew. It can be handwaved with agreements between players.
2.) Characters have and/or acquire a ring of returning within the first month or so of joining so that they can hop between the ship and the leviathans as needed.

About:
Old, old, old. Aziraphale was created millions of years before the Earth and happened to be the very first angel stationed on it. He was the original guardian the Eden, the angel who armed Adam and Eve with his holy sword after they'd been kicked from the garden. The original voice of goodness and holiness!

. . . Except he's kind of trash at being an angel.

Aziraphale has, by all accounts, gone native and grown to appreciate life on Earth far more than he ever did life in Heaven. He likes humans, likes human things (especially the food), and spending his days enjoying those human things with his best friend: Crowley.

Generally, he's fairly polite and pleasant. Easy to get along with.

Abilities: loose overview & sensing permission post — please fill it out if there is anything to sense about your character!

( due to his age, aziraphale tends to often forget he has about 80% of his abilities until something is inconveniencing him. )

PLANS

General: Nothing set in stone at the moment since Aziraphale is just freshly coming in. Some of the first priorities are going to be to get his bearings, interacting with other paladins, argue with Crowley some more, and exploration. He's fairly enamoured with the concept of being thrown inside of a ship in a bottle.

CR Dreams: Everything, everything, everything. I would love for Aziraphale to make some friends, find some people to butt heads with, and maybe even be a little maternal to someone. He'd especially be interested in making friends and/or chatting with other supernatural beings or otherwise long-lived beings.

About: I am copying from her app: Dehya wouldn't call herself a hero like the stories her father told, but her personality embodies the righteous bravery and kindness that makes them. Bold, brave, noble, sharp-minded. Dehya's a good natured and good humored woman who balances hard work with hard play. She doesn't let hardship or obstacles get her down, but she's conscientious of their existence and the inequality layered in them. Her sense of justice is strong and she believes in doing the right thing by her life. She doesn't seek to lord her sense of righteousness over others, just stand strong in her own convictions.

Abilities: Her abilities are basically Playing With Fire. No immediate plans for powerups but if you need someone who can punch with a literal flaming fist, she's your girl.

General: I am here to party with no formal direction. Much like Dehya!
MANTA Board: I think having her get involved in Belle Of The Brawl completely unintentionally because she thinks someone's in trouble in a real barfight would be hilarious. Otherwise, she can team up for some bounties!
Event: Dehya will probably be going through a very disorienting alternation between both air effects after deciding to check out the new island because that went okay the first time, dragon kidnapping's aside. Might be important, might need help, might be... a bunch of crabs?

Anyway, I'm particularly interested in the series of challenges, relic hunting, and she's a bit new to have anything besides temporary friendly competition with any paladins but that can always change.

Sherlock Holmes | Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened (2023) | Paladin

About: Sherlock is a 23 year old Victorian still very much learning how to be a consulting detective. He's more emotional than the average Holmes and is. trying. his. best. He hasn't gone on any of the cases he's known for yet. His first adventure with John Watson is chasing a Cthulhu cult across the world. He also got genre shifted from a detective mystery game to a detective horror game. It's rough. He has trouble sleeping because he has nightmares of drowning in the Abyss and Cthulhu because he saw things no human can understand. He also has trouble knowing what is reality because of said horrors and from a childhood with an imaginary friend/tupla named Jon(athan, not John Watson) from age 6 to 21 as a mental/emotional trauma defense.

Sherlock's application: cw: for child abuse, medical malpractice, and mental illness topics

Abilities:

- Marksmanship with a pistol
- Consulting Detective: but with shaken confidence
- Violin
- Acting and disguise
- Sketching
- Weakened mental fortitude: Sherlock is more susceptible to mental/emotional based powers or suggestion due previous detachments from reality and now from Cthulhu influences which have revealed to him glimpses beyond what humans normally perceive. While that could be a liability, it's also a chance for outside entities to possess or speak through him for a short bit and cause his eyes to go eerily pale and clouded. (Note for potential RP shenanigans more than it being an actual power/ability Sherlock can consciously use.)

No tattoo yet - he has too much cultist trauma to even think about it

PLANS

General: Short term goals: getting him help with his sleeping problems, working on removing/reducing his seasickness, him realizing that all this isn't him losing his mind and is real, getting him a violin. Oh and him getting used to the idea that this blond Mycroft is another version of his brother.

Long term goals: get this boy some self confidence, self worth, and finding himself again, put him on the path to becoming his own version of Sherlock Holmes rather than someone who feels like he's failing at every turn

MANTA Board:

- Has your character ever looked at someone, saw a mess, and went for the adoption papers? Adopt him
- Anyone with mental/emotional powers can have some fun with Sherlock, and I'm happy to provide information for shenanigans

Etc.: In Sherlock's world there are: Sherlock Holmes, Jon, John Watson, Watkinson, Holman, and mention of the older Frogwares Holmes counterpart. His canon touches the 4th Wall a lot. There are references from the various adaptations everywhere, and I think it accounts for some of Sherlock's madness and feeling like he never fits. Things are out of order, referenced by other people, and so on.

I have no problem with characters knowing or being fans of Sherlock Holmes in general, just not that he's the specific fictional video game character. People will definitely get the sense that he's the young man who is supposed to grow to be the famous detective... but things happened.

Also Cordona is a made up island by Frogwares. Sherlock will speak of the island, but it won't be on any map unless someone is from his canon. Even more confusion for him.

About: Tl;dr - Douglas is the Watson analogue to the elder Holmes brother! He's 43, originally from Trinidad, and a former sailor turned owner of a tobacco shop AND boys shelter. He's an unfailingly kind and modest man, much preferring to let others take the spotlight while he fades into the background, but he's actually very smart and capable in his own right. He's a big literature nerd, a decent fighter (ask him about the capoeira!), and a steadfast and mature friend to have around. Also he actually knows how boats work, he's got your back on all the sailing stuff guys. :|b You will probably see him hovering around Mycroft Holmes because they're insufferable.

app & additional info; please also check out his permissions, although i'll never bring anything up unprompted his canon does touch some sensitive subject matter.

Abilities: He can kick his leg real high in the air and if you're in trouble he can do a killer Dad Voice. That's it, he doesn't trust magic enough yet to even think about using it himself.

General:
Mostly just looking to hammer out some CR and make some more friends (or enemies if you're nasty?!) He's settled into the crew of the Raiders of the Lost Arc and is taking it easy while he's here, so I really want him to continue making connections. I also have a long-term goal of him finding a magical cure to the injury to his heart: he has some bullet fragments in there that are too close and dangerous to remove, maybe even by modern medicine. I would love to spend the next few months warming him up to it as a possibility and finally doing it, so if anyone wants in on that!!!

Also there's an alternate universe version of his best friend's baby brother here now, what is up with that... please hold on how that castmate-not-castmate drama is going to affect him

MANTA Board: He is on 2 truths and a lie! Other than that, I don't have plans, but I am potentially open to all of them, local man can and will be dragged into your nonsense.
Event: I'm playing FAST AND LOOSE with crabs island so I'm probably gonna tag out and see what happens??? But I could be convinced into writing custom starters.

CR Dreams:
- CR that is a bunch of old guys drinking and complaining ("old" and "guy" need not necessarily apply as long as you've got the spirit)
- other Victorians, this is crazy to you guys too right?!?!
- characters from hysterically mismatched canons to weird out the Victorian, come bewilder him with far future scifi and magic and stuff
- Weirdoes to drag him around doing freak shit. Don't worry he loves shenanigans but like secretly.
- That but with weirdo young people, I love the 'ace attorney normal guy and weirdgirl sidekick' dynamic and he's such a straight man that he is PRIME for it
