ENABLE ME INTEREST CHECK

YO HO HO EVERYONE! It is finally time, and this is our first official interest check for our pirates nautical themed game, Escordvi. Here is is a quick rundown of what to hit and what to expect in the next few weeks!

• We are a semi-private, invite only game. For this round, only those who are directly invited by the mods can apply for opening cycle. We will have another app cycle in November, as well as public app cycles pending open slots. We're seeing how this first round shakes out before cementing that schedule.
  
  
• We have a 50 player cap....but we'll see where this interest check goes, so even if there are over 50 comments to the page, go ahead and comment! Laena is used to upping caps, it's fine...
  
  
• Players can only app 2 characters at once with a max limit of 3 in game. But since this is an interest check/enable me, feel free to put more if you're having trouble deciding!
  
  
• Our Game Info should cover everything you need, from basic premise summary to the nitty gritty details of the game mechanics. If you have any questions, post them there.
  
  
• This is not a faction game!! We do have two "factions" called armadas split between Corsairs and Paladins, and characters will have to be placed in one or the other, but the game itself is not structured like a faction game. Characters on each side can either clash or work together and we have quests and "events" that will help with the cooperation aspect. If you need help deciding, you can use this post for help! As a heads up, players will have first preference, however if during the app process we find we have a huge imbalance (like 50 corsairs and 10 paladins) then we may have to move a few to make it more balanced. Please help us out by being open-minded if possible! Good news is it's possible for characters to switch sides in-game, too.
  
  
• This is not a claims page—except for mods. We will explicitly state which characters we plan to bring, so please keep that in mind! Everyone else is encouraged to comment with who they wish to bring.
  
  
• TDM is Friday, August 18th. This TDM will serve as the giant "first arrival" and intro log, so all threads will be considered canon once officially in the game!
  
  
• Reservations open Friday, August 25th.
  
  
• Applications open Friday, September 1st.
