I'm looking for a crew willing to adopt one (1) vampire hunting witch. Maria hails from France around the time of the Revolutionary War and is wholly invested in that cause. She's also extremely used to fighting and comes with several familiars she can summon up in a fight. She's also fairly good with most blades.

I'm not picky about who is in the crew, in fact tension leading to friendship would be nice! Maria is going through a lot emotionally and could use the support of others. She'll support you in turn, don't worry -- Maria is a spitfire but she's quite kind!

About: Naeva is a dhampir by birth, and through a strange combination of spite and loneliness, has become a naturally grandmotherly meddler with a kind of prickly, stern exterior and a hell of a resting bitchface. She's actually quite willing to make new friends but she is not very good at it if you are not an adorable woodland creature.
Abilities: Oh boy! Naeva is a natural shapeshifter who can turn herself into an adorable yippy jackal and a nine foot tall monster lady. She can also just talk to animals. These are just the natural abilities that come with Naevas. She also comes with nature and healing magic and blood magic don't even worry about that one free of charge! Take this yippy multitool on adventures!

General: I'd like for Naeva to collect more friends! She's a little awkward and hasn't met very many other corsairs. perhaps someone should teach her out to use a shellphone....
MANTA Board: Oh she is going for round 2 with that goddamn goose, TRUST.
She's also very hard to kill (she thinks) so she's willing to get stabbed for poke and prance. Warning, making her bleed too much may result in her being very bitey.
Bite-Sized Blessings and a Storm of Sneezes are also right up her alley!
Event: Because I have a character I plan on test-driving, I will probably not toplevel with Kaveh or Naeva on the event, but tag out instead! I may become a liar.

Dream CR: Naeva has a hard prickly exterior over a gooey grandma center and so I would absolutely love for people for her to adopt, the stranger the better. Come to her with your troubles and she will absolutely not understand but she will listen. You can hug her tiny jackal form. It's okay.

People who can pick up on and be a little AAAAA about the fact she is straight up half-vampire and needs a raw meat diet once a month are also welcome. She's used to it, she can take it. Please also be terrified by her being a nine foot tall monster lady. It's okay. She's huggable.

Kaveh | Genshin Impact | Paladin

About: Kaveh is a very kind and idealistic young man with a sharp temper and more stress than a bridge's last support wire. He is motivated by art, beauty, and the impulse to do what's right! ...And cripplingly traumatic guilt, though he's working on that a bit! Kaveh doesn't mind meeting and talking to new people, although he's a little awkward and slow to truly open up, but since he has a compulsive need to try and help and worry about everyone he ever meets, it's very easy to drag him into all kinds of nonsense.

Abilities: Kaveh has a Vision that allows him to do wild things like make exploding leaf bombs when he gets wet and control a semi-sentient robotic briefcase that wields a claymore telekinetically for him, because Genshin is a series that sure is happening. Kaveh's tattoo has been expanded to enhance his telekinetic abilities to work even without Mehrak! I am sure this will in no way cause problems! Tune in later when he gets into more explosive nonsense.

Because Kaveh is a man with more compassion than sense, he will also very likely get involved in a Storm of Sneezes AND A Very Beary Night. Assistance on playing fireball tennis would be deeply appreciated.
Event: As I am TDMing a new character I won't be topleveling with Naeva or Kaveh, BUT I am very likely to tag out with Kaveh for Reasons.

CR Dreams: I want most in the world for either people for Kaveh to get in over his head trying to help them, or people who could gently scruff him by the back of his cape when he is getting himself in over his head. As he's still getting his feet in the world, more the former than the latter.

I am also very down for people with very different opinions on the value of art to argue with him about it. Or just people he can complain to about city planning because WHY. WHY IS ELTRUT LIKE THIS!

Long-term, I am deeply always into a found-family dynamic, and family and the concept of homes is something deeply, deeply important to Kaveh, and he's always going to try and fill that gap for others, even if he can't imagine filling it for himself.

Maria Renard is the sixteen year old daughter of former Speaker Tera and the Abbot Emmanuel. As a child she was told her father was no longer around and didn't learn of her true parentage until near the end of Season One. Tera took in the son of Julia Belmont -- Richter -- after her death. He and Maria have a very close knit sibling bond.

Maria is a staunch believer in personal freedom and has a heavy dislike for the Church and Abbot Emmanuel. Yet she shows her empathetic and kind side when she approaches the Abbot in an attempt to "rescue" him from the circumstances he's gotten himself into. She's also a leader in her city's part of the Revolution so she knows a thing or two about trying to motivate people.

If you befriend Maria you'll have an ally through thick and thin. Here in Escordvi she's learning that her blanket impression of vampires might be utterly wrong. She's learning about dhampirs and equally waring with whether or not making friends with vampires isn't going against what she's done in killing them at home.

General: I'm down to play things by ear this month since it's the holidays, and I know everyone's got plans; castmates, if you wanna do something on the heavier side, let's talk forward-dating for January this month, maybe, and just pacing ourselves? Otherwise, I'm keeping Aerith open for friendship, enemyship, frenemyship, teasing, flirting, and chaos.
MANTA Board: I'm particularly interested in The Picture of Dorina Gray, but I'd like to keep this to currently existing CR. This is an easy in for finding out about Aerith's Cetra heritage, as in the fact she's part alien??? She'd probably only do this once, and avoid Dorina after, so I'll only do this quest once.

On the flip side, Aerith will be doing A Storm Of Sneezes, and she'll tag along with people doing Magitech Madness. I definitely would like to do Fountain of Blades. I'm happy to come up with a reason for Aerith to engage with the pools multiple times and tailor childhood memories for people, but I would love for her to help others, too. I think she'd also A Very Beary Night. I'll focus on finishing my bounty threads from last month for now, otherwise!
Event: I'm top leveling with Aerith and she'll probably be out and about, engaging with everything and everyone. But the biggest question is who is going to get into a snowball fight with her...

About: Jill is a woman who is starting to grow into her own person after spending thirteen years in captivity and being forced to become a warmachine for a less than savory nation. For the last five years, she's spent her newfound freedom joining up with one Cid and one Clive in their plan of changing the world for the better, especially for Dominants like her and the Bearers, people who can use magick without the need of a crystal.

She's empathetic and sympathetic to those who are in need, friendly and polite to people who are likewise to her, and has a desire to travel the world and experience the things that will be new to her. However, Jill can be stubborn and will drop the polite routine and become rude if someone dehumanizes her (she's had enough of that, thank you very much!) or towards people who she considers enemies. I'd be a fool if I didn't mention how close she is to Clive... like attached at the hip close. One will most likely find her near him, if not behind him, supporting him like the good potential wife friend she is. Her loyalty to him runs deep and gods forbid you talk bad about him in front of her.

General: Jill is out hunting for friends! Okay, I'm hunting for friends for her. She's slowly growing into her own self here with less opportunity to be up under Clive all the time, so she's discovering new interests. Romance novels is her first and current passion, with a collection that suspiciously grows larger each week, though Jill is still in denial she's been reading smut all into the late hours of the night. A LADY DOES NO SUCH THING. She's also really into her cat Bluetooth, so kitty playdates? AND SOMEONE PLEASE TEACH HER HOW TO COOK. She's been subsisting on sandwiches and tea since she got here and takeout is eating up all her book money, I mean, her doubloons!

MANTA Board: First things first, Jill is gonna be stealing some tea. Why? Because sometimes you might need a little outside help when you're too inexperienced with life in general to get things moving. Also buying it means she might be seen doing so and that's embarrassing. But so is getting caught and boy, I want her getting caught doing her first crime here. Open to both awkward encounters and actually helpful encounters, especially if you spoke to her via the bottle letters and you want to put two and two together.

Secondly, Jill will get herself mixed up with Crimbus Bunnicula! She doesn't want to kill it, but sometimes ya gotta do what you gotta do to defend yourself.

Finally, Jill will make hankies for Eltrut. She's great at needlecrafting, so anybody who wants to help is welcome. Maybe teach her how to make soup in exchange for her giving you a sewing lesson.

Event: I will be topleveling for once in my sad pirate life! Also she is totally down for some Merry Chrysler Robin Hood with the gifts. Maybe she'll play in the snow without any proper cold weather gear because when you house the Ice Queen inside of you, the cold doesn't really bother you anyway.

About: Magic, Science, and all-the-ways-they-interact Research! There are so many ancient artifacts, dusty tomes with cursed knowledge, and new advancements in the mixture of magic and science that are waiting to be explored and exploited! With the largest and most prestigious research center among the leviathans under the Paladin's thumbs and access granted at their whim, certain avenues of research are difficult to pursue. Unless you happen to have your own ship with a dedicated research lab. Which the Raiders of the Lost Arts will have ICly around the middle of the month.
Pitch: Since the purpose of the crew on an IC level is to gain the flexibility and means to pursue research that could be difficult if forced to remain within certain distances of the main leviathans, the crew is going to be looking to invite those who have shown an active interest in various magical and science research. Anyone with an interest in doing the dry lab research or who enjoys delving into dangerous ruins to uncover potentially life-threatening cursed treasures is welcome to approach one of the current members during the first half of the month as rumors spread about a crew getting items together to give to the leviathan for a ship of their own with the intent to pursue magical research.
Character should acquire at least a level 1 ring of returning to facilitate travel between the ship and other ports if they don't have a teleportation power.

About:  Rem is a young, friendly woman who grew up in a world in which all as “blessed” to forget the dead. She’s a child soldier, sees nothing wrong with this, and actively reaps souls (in her canon, called “phantoma”) when finished with enemies along the battlefield. She’s a ride-or-die kinda friend, literally, and she can and will kill others (or sacrifice herself) because she’ll give up anything to protect those she loves. That being said, despite all that she’s endured, she’s actually one of the more well-adjusted characters in her world! And that’s including how many times she’s lived and died in previous cycles in her world (which she can’t remember, but her soul somehow does— a good thing too considering last cycle she deemed humanity sucks and ended the world). SO YEAH ANYWAYS. She’s caring and puts others first, is actively conversational, and loves a good pun and to tease others. She's got some mysterious illness too but Don’t worry, she’s Fine. It’s fine. Nothing suspicious there. Permissions/info/opt-out here! which also goes over more key information about her soul for anyone who can sense such things.

✤✤✤ Rem eventually wants to find the origins of the tombstone and its related relics. because apparently there might be more than one! and that's dangerous! so when those archives open up again, she's going to need help pouring through old texts. also need others to help with looking through harbor logs of ships that fit the ghost's ship make/model.
✤✤✤ to assist in this effort, she's joined a crew! hooray. she is here along for the ride, mostly just happy to have a bit of research/study space.
✤✤✤ magitek. so, right. she's definitely beginning to like tinkering with this, albeit she's more on the magic side than the "tek" side. still, her abilities offer a lot of overlap considering she practices manalchemy (magic-alchemy), and that there is a lot of magitek in her world she's had to study in an effort to combat it. the magitek of her world is mostly more sophisticated on the Empire's side, but it does exist (of a more magical manner, but still involving appliances and airships) in her cyrstal-state's side. her one thought had been what if instead of a battery, one tethers the generator to the recipient machinery in question via linked sigils or materials, as it often is done in her world?
✤✤✤ alternatively, knowing how to utilize magicite in her world is something she and her peers have studied. let's make some dangerous crystal and/or batteries and/or bombs with this. she just needs the idea put into her head first, though.

UNLESS... unless, is this giant goose the next sea-leviathan-island in the making?? anyway, come join her for the battle. (another query: how many souls does a giant eight-headed goose head have? one, or eight?)

About: Benedikta Harman is a woman who is all about her survival and self-preservation first and foremost. Having climbed out of the depths of a cruel and terrible youth, she ascended to a place of power within the Kingdom of Waloed after being rescued, both by way of her talents in subterfuge and swordplay, and awakening as the Warden of the Wind, the Dominant of the Eikon, Garuda, which allows her to wield powerful wind magic. She is the Commander of Waloed's Elite Intelligencers, and is fiercely loyal to King Barnabas.

However, not everything is as it seems with her. She is loyal, yes, but to a fault, and is stung by the bitter bite of betrayal. She is ruthless, unkind, only cares about her own skin, and resents the world for what it has done to her. But deep down, who she really is is a woman who has looked and continues to find love and validation in all the wrong places...

In short: she's a mess. :)

PLANS

General:

🍃 Still working on that "freedom" thing. After living in servitude her whole life, she doesn't understand what it's like to live on her own terms, for herself, so she's going to be trying to reconcile with that in a number of ways. Basically, Benedikta is on a journey of "finding herself", so to speak.
🍃 She has also learned that anyone can be sent back at any time, so while Cid is working to find the relic that could possibly keep them here, Benedikta is trying to find a way to permanently close the rifts. Forever. So that no one can leave. Ever. (Obviously this will not work, but that doesn't mean she's not going to try!)
🍃 There will come a day when she learns about what happened to her after her death, and that will be the day that she primes into Garuda's full form, so keep an eye on the horizon, and stay away from those dark clouds.
🍃 I still really want her to steal a ship. But who is going to do that with her now? :(
🍃 On that note, stealing a ship with someone and then marooning them on an island would be fun. So would placing a bounty on someone's head just for pissing her off, so if you want a bounty on your character, she's your gal!
🍃 Just a general note: while I'm not looking to fully redeem her (because let's be real, she is far from fully redeemable), my main goal for her is to eventually come to terms with everything she's done wrong. She's gotten a taste of that after what happened in canon before arriving, but still has a long way to go before she accepts it. I have some plans in the works for how that's going to come about, but it's going to be a long journey to get there.

About: Tifa is the "Mom Friend" if there ever was one. She is a kind, empathetic, patient, protective soul who is always looking out for others. Sociable and friendly as she can be, she's much more reserved than she appears—she never wears her heart on her sleeve and keeps her emotions close, and prefers to talk about anything but herself. But don't let her shy, timid exterior fool you. She is a savvy business woman who ran a bar and can kick a lot of ass, too.

Internally, Tifa carries a lot of grief and has had plenty losses in life, is incredibly self-critical, and it's because of this that she is always pushing herself to do better. She'll always try to think things through first and put on a smile for others, but deep down beneath all of that is a woman still struggling from her past. In spite of her anger and her past, she is still always trying to do the right thing and to help anyone in need, and treat everyone with kindness, regardless of who they are or where they come from.

PLANS

General:

🌠 She's now thinking about opening up a martial arts dojo! It would be a place where she can pass on Zangan's techniques and teachings while also teaching her own style! But also, martial arts isn't just about kicking and punching, but it would also include things like strength training, stretching, meditation, and all that other cool stuff. It's still just an idea right now, but it's there in her head and now she can't get it out. This will definitely not be until after the new year though! She needs to gather some points first.
🌠 She'll be looking to join a crew of fellow Paladins as well. I'd prefer it if she had CR with the group first before committing to anything though. hey, ff7 crew, what's our plan
🌠 Besides that, she's mostly just been laying low and trying to keep out of trouble!
🌠 Always love sneaking her into Nogard because she makes a terrible Corsair so if anyone wants a Paladin buddy to help with any of the quests, she is (not) your gal!?

Miriam's a young woman who's seen and been through some shit (mainly unethical science and watching her found family die), but hasn't lost her kindness or sense of justice. Sure, she might be full of demonic power, but she's using that power to do good things. She wants to be helpful and prove that she's still human, let her be helpful!!

Those roses and petals on her aren't tattoos; they're part of a cursed crystal that lets Miriam use said phenomenal demonic power, but will eventually turn her into a crystal statue and kill her, with or without corrupting her mind first. Either or. The curse's spread is currently halted, but using her power too much or absorbing too many Shards (fragments of a demon's power) at once could cause it to start advancing again, no matter how much self-discipline she's capable of. So Miriam's in a constant balancing act of needing to use her powers to best help others but not so much that she crystalizes. No pressure.

PLANS

General: I blinked and November kind of disappeared on me?? Time is fake. This month I should be more on top of things.

As for game plans, Miriam wants to get more involved with studying the tombstone relic, since she feels she could be of use there. For longer term ones, I want to have her open up a bit more about her curse, since she's been dropping little (or not so little) crumbs about it.
MANTA Board: I'm still interested in Fountain of Blades to deepen or kickstart CR with other Paladins; Miriam also helped with Spellbound Circuitry last month, and would be at it again in Magitech Madness, both to help test out the new technologies and to quietly make sure no one's doing Unethical Science. She has some Opinions about that. If someone wants to do a bounty, Miriam can handle the guns. Miriam's also going to get roped into Paladin's Gambit, which will probably be the point she starts to chafe at this authority to the point of ducking out of filing paperwork whenever possible.
Event: I'll be doing my best to top level this time! Some prompts I'm interested in:
-Making Gifts, and especially distributing gifts to orphans. Miriam used to be one before being taken in by the Guild, so she has a personal interest in that.
-Mistletoe Bats, hello give me that fluffy cheek smooch shit. While I'd prefer F/F or prior CR for this, platonic cheek kisses is where Miriam would stay for now. Unless you want punching, but Miriam's trying to get better about resisting Random Violence Impulses since she had an unpleasant run-in with those effects soon after arrival.
