Crew: The Hideaway
About: The Hideaway's purpose is a bit "loose," taking more of a independent, free to do what you want direction. Taking the odd jobs, helping others, and just living a more "free adventure life" of the Corsairs, even acting something like "Robin Hood" with their actions. It's a place Cid hopes to foster the talents of others and help them feel like they belong somewhere. However, although the Hideaway is on the "nicer" side of the Corsair group, they still behave and act more like outlaws, willing to bend and break the rules if needed. Just usually for good.

Pitch: If you just want to have fun and have five powerful Dominants behind your back, this is the group for you! We're pretty loose and Cid himself tends to look at people for their talents (especially tech savvy!) and need for a place. So yeah a fun, comfy "found family" type of group. Cid is also running a "magitech" type business so, those interested in inventing and engineering are also welcome. With their own island, they'll be looking to develop more so they have the ability to have more independence if needed. Those who may want to stay in Escordvi long term may also find a place here as Cid is looking into it and the rifts.

Even though they are Corsair affiliated, Paladins are welcome!

About: Leads a group of outlaws working to change the world's current system in treating magic users, making a name for himself as an outlaw in doing so. The Dominant of Ramuh, he's capable of using and turning into the Eikon Ramuh himself and wields lightning as his main element. Goodnatured, friendly, classic rogue, with enough wit and Dad jokes to help lighten any heavy situation. With his experience and endless worldly wisdom, he's the perfect mentor for any young lad who is going through a self-identity crisis and angst. Oh that's just Clive—but he can be a mentor or father figure for anyone who needs it, too. He is also a brilliant inventor and bit of an engineer. There will definitely be spoilers since he'll be after a certain canon point. I usually try not to reference canon events with non-castmates, but I'll be sure to mark them just in case. Between castmates, well, read those threads at your own risk— Spoilers, spoilers everywhere. For more info, he has a profile sheet here.

General: WELL things are a bit. Of an emotional roller coaster at the moment. With Clive leaving Cid is sad since the big lug was like a son to him. What makes things a little awkward is he proposed to Benedikta last month before Clive left so this is going to drive them to elope this month. There won't be any announcement since they'll be keeping it private (for a number of reasons, Clive's departure being one of them), and any celebrations or whatnot wouldn't be until March for same reasons. SO he won't be around for the end of February and I won't have any open logs or toplevels for him...probably. Otherwise he'll be working on a few new inventions including some kind of cooling/heating system (aka A/C lol).

And as a heads up, I did sign Cid up to be abducted in late March.

MANTA Board: Some things that he could be interested iiiin—

About: Typical stoic, aloof, silent elite agent soldier lone wolf type with the biggest soft spot for all things dog. His ideal is to live a life filled with peace and quiet, and so he fights to protect not only his peace but others as well. Eustace can be a bit rough around the edges, but he's softened up and can be amiable with those he's grown to trust and care for. Often compared to as a "guard dog" he is fiercely loyal to those close to him. He is skilled with guns, short blades, and grenades with his favored weapon being Flamek, a special rifle that can unleash lightning. His main element is also lightning in game. As an Erune, the dog-like ears on his head are very real, but he does not have a tail. Also as an Erune, the fashion choice of open sides and backs is the norm— He also loves dogs. Like. A lot. He has his dog Valo. More detailed info can be found here!

General: No real plans! Will just probably continue the usual of seeing what's around. He wishes he could live in the tundra with the wolves, though...

About: Benedikta Harman is a woman who is all about her survival and self-preservation first and foremost. Having climbed out of the depths of a cruel and terrible youth, she ascended to a place of power within the Kingdom of Waloed after being rescued, thanks to her talents in subterfuge and swordplay, as well as being the Dominant of the Eikon Garuda. Now the Head of the Elite Intelligencers, Waloed's spies, she is—or was, in the case of Escordvi—fiercely loyal to her king. However, not everything is as it seems with her.

She is loyal, but to a fault. And although things have changed for her since coming to Escordvi, she can still be the ruthless, cold-hearted, guarded woman that she has grown up to be. Deep down, however, she is merely a woman who has sought love and validation all her life, and a need to be useful, and once found it in all the wrong places. And now, after recent developments and revelations, she has found it and is working on healing those old wounds born from betrayal and loneliness, as well as trying to live a life that she was robbed of in the past.

General: I was on hiatus last month and reeeally took advantage of it, but I am officially back and ready to swing at RP again with a bat!

• Well, first and foremost, Cid and Benedikta officially got engaged at the end of January, after he kept asking and asking and asking and asking and— She finally said yes and he put a ring on it! They will be eloping this month, disappearing right after Dragon's Gale, and won't be back until the beginning of March. So, if anyone would like to do something with her, we can always squeeze it in during the first half of February. There will be no official announcement by them, but she'll be wearing a ring starting in February.
  
• Otherwise, she's still looking into the relics and the rifts, trying to find a way to close them permanently, everyone else be damned or not. :D
  
• She threw herself into the whale and crystal plots, and so she's going to be getting arrested in March. All according to plan, until it will not be, and shit hits the fan very quickly. Getting arrested right after her honeymoon... that's just her luck, isn't it?
  
• Cid will also be getting abducted later, so uh, good luck to anyone in her vicinity. As Cid so kindly puts it, Benedikta's rage knows no bounds, and that's on a good day. She'll most likely be semi-priming to bust out her hubby, so if you would like your character to get caught in those crossfires, we can definitely plot something out. :)

About: Jill is a woman who is starting to grow into her own person after spending thirteen years in captivity and being forced to become a warmachine for a less than savory nation. For the last five years, she's spent her newfound freedom joining up with one Cid and one Clive in their plan of changing the world for the better, especially for Dominants like her and the Bearers, people who can use magick without the need of a crystal.

She's empathetic and sympathetic to those who are in need, friendly and polite to people who are likewise to her, and has a desire to travel the world and experience the things that will be new to her. However, Jill can be stubborn and will drop the polite routine and become rude if someone dehumanizes her (she's had enough of that, thank you very much!) or towards people who she considers enemies. I'd be a fool if I didn't mention how close she is to Clive... like attached at the hip close. One will most likely find her near him, if not behind him, supporting him like the good potential wife friend she is. Her loyalty to him runs deep and gods forbid you talk bad about him in front of her.

General: HOO BOY. WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN? Well, first things first, Clive's gone and his leaving is something Jill will not be taking well (both for in-game reasons—they were supposed to get hitched, dammit!—and canon reasons that I won't put here for spoiler reasons but if anybody wants to know anyway, feel free to PM me). She will be announcing his departure sooner or later, but she's also going to pretend everything is fine because you know, it is. It absolutely is and nevermind that she's lying and just doesn't want to burden anyone else with her problems or ruin anybody's upcoming happiness. Someone to call her out on her shit would be great! Or just talk to her until she lets the walls down. Perhaps someone to get her white girl wasted for once in her life to get her to open up? Yeah, that's a good one.

About: Tifa is the "Mom Friend" if there ever was one. She is a kind, empathetic, patient, protective soul who is always looking out for others. Sociable and friendly as she can be, she's much more reserved than she appears—she never wears her heart on her sleeve and keeps her emotions close, and prefers to talk about anything but herself. But don't let her shy, timid exterior fool you. She is a savvy business woman who ran a bar and can kick a lot of ass, too.

Internally, Tifa is carries a lot of grief and anger, and has had plenty losses in life, is incredibly self-critical, and it's because of this that she is always pushing herself to do better. She'll always try to think things through first and put on a smile for others, but deep down beneath all of that is a woman still struggling from her past. In spite of her anger and her past, she is still always trying to do the right thing and to help anyone in need, and treat everyone with kindness, regardless of who they are or where they come from.

• Tifa is still running the Seventh Heaven Bar and Grill, so people are always welcome to come by and say hi!
  
• She and Eustace finally worked out their feelings together and are now ~official~ as of December's Winterstide event, so now it's just a matter of figuring out how to do the dating thing...
  
• Canon update coming soon to the end of Rebirth? Yes, probably. She's going to be a very, very sad and worried bean when that happens. It's been about a year since I updated her to mid-Rebirth, so now it's time to throw her to the wolves—
  
• Other than that, she is mostly just cruising along and helping people where she can. I don't have any big plots planned for her, but I think she's done her time. It's her turn to relax and sit back and try to do what she can for those in need!

About: Playing up that he's a vapid, airheaded playboy, it's difficult to get a meaningful connection with Hawks. It's by design, considering his background and the fact that those who own him wouldn't approve of him making any meaningful connections. He is not convinced that they're as disconnected from home as they appear to be, and so he's on his best behaviour, lest he get caught doing something he shouldn't.

He's always far more informed than he appears to be, and incredibly calculating, not that he wants anyone to know that. On the other side of that, his life experiences are somewhat limited so there is basic knowledge he just might not have. He's a hero by day and a spy and assassin by night, although he's been enjoying only heroics since he arrived.

The most notable thing about Hawks are the massive wings on his back, which are his quirk, as well as his other bird-like traits. His full wingspan is about 20 feet or so, and he can manipulate his feathers individually, all of them at once. He can also pick up vibrations through his feathers, allowing him to use echolocation and listen to conversations, making him an incredibly effective spy. He has super speed as part of his quirk, his fastest known speed is 900km/h, but he says he can be faster than that.

General: He definitely needs to find a crew that would be suitable for him. He is not a fan of being on the ship and when he is, he likes to stay up in the crow's nest. Birds and high places, am I right?

Beyond that, I'm toying with the idea of having him be arrested or even abducted. He did some massive damage to one of the auctions, and it's something in particular that really gets to him. Trafficking in particular is something he's pretty sore about. He wouldn't be thrilled by that at all, but it might give him some interesting insight into the processes in this world.

MANTA Board: He'd be good at The Fluttering Butterflies, Loop Hero, Heart Shaped Box, Nega-Sacabambapsis. He really needs to take on a bounty, he's pretty broke, and/or the Temple Ruins

About: At his most basic, Roxas is the what happens if you take the protagonist of Kingdom Hearts, Sora, and put him on mute. He's an oddity in the world, but has finally fought through trials and tribulations to be his own person. And then he ended up in a pirate world just before he could start figuring out his life. It's been a time.

But overall, he's a friendly kid whose walls come down easily enough. Though watch out for that short temper.

-Probably going to let Roxas have a nice month since I was kind of mean last month. And also still focusing on those January threads.

-In general, Roxas is still adjusting to having Sora around. He'll be talking to the rest of the Plus Ultra crew to have Sora take over as Captain. And, you know, Feelings.

MANTA Board:
-Might look into that extra quest for the temple ruins, since he's got a stake in that now. Maybe do some exploring in the desert since he didn't get to do that last time. And he has every to avoid the tundra. Gotta look for more horse stuff after all.

-Catching magical butterflies sounds like fun

-Probably looking to tag out this month and maybe have a log or network post for the other stuff.

-He'll probably be at the festival the most, but he might go exploring for more dragon stuff and see if he can fly on one again. That was fun. I'd like to get him into trouble exploring. Or just lost.

About: Chris is an asshole with a lot of deeply horrifying trauma. They're also a telepath, a bio android, and (technically) a supervillain, though they try to keep all three of these things secret, with varying degrees of success.

PLANS

General: Well, there's a bounty out for their supervillain identity now, with all the shit they've pulled at the auctions. If you wanna do something with that, please contact me. They'll actually likely be kinda scarce for the first half of the month as we are nearing the anniversary of the most traumatic event in their entire life: last year they were distracted by suddenly being in a new world, but this year that grief and anxiety is gonna hit hard. Still, there's plenty of info I'd be willing to let people discover about them/their secret identity, and they will show up later in the month for confrontations.
MANTA Board: Well, they've got a bounty on them.
Event: No concrete plans for the event yet. Chris may actually spend a lot of time sulking and hiding.

Legion | Mass Effect | Paladin

About: Legion is a large (six and a half feet tall) and probably rather intimidating robot hivemind. They're a calm and peaceful sort personality wise, if strange and socially awkward.

General: Right now I'm just having fun doing whatever with Legion, not a lot of plans. Need to establish more CR, and possibly see about regaining their gun.
Event: Well, unlike Sidestep, Legion will be participating in the event and not hiding, but I don't have much in the way of plots for them right now. If you wanna do something with the weird robot, let me know!

About: Your stereotypical shounen/JRPG protagonist inspired character, Darin is hot-blooded, occasionally arrogant, but ultimately kind. He's got a whole heaping helping of trauma because he's also got half the soul of a Demonic God of destruction tethered to him, which gives him superhuman strength and resilience— powers that he's only now just looking to learn how to use after a lifetime of suppressing them to appear "normal." He's prophesied to be the destroyer of his world and is even scared he might bring ruin to this one.

PLANS

General: Short term? Darin needs someone to work with and train him to use his abilities. He has no idea how and he doesn't even realize his strength is tied to his emotions. The more worked up he gets, the more power he can draw. However, if he slips too far, he could end up destroying everything, especially himself. Looking for any and all CR, especially antagonists. Boy needs to have his life ruined, he's had it too good lately.
MANTA Board: I would absolutely be up for a lot of these. Nothing is leaping to mind but that doesn't mean I wouldn't tag into someone's log if they wanted Darin to do some things.
Event: I will probably top-level. Darin is going to be getting kidnapped by his dragonified not-girlfriend and it's gonna be a *time.*

About: He's big, he's round, he's a mad genius, and he's all about **THEATRICS.** Dr. Eggman is all about shaping the world to conform to his genius vision alone. He thinks himself above everyone and is often looking for any and every way that he can put himself ahead of others. Also? He loves theme parks.

PLANS

General: As of right now, Eggman is just getting himself established. He has a very tenuous agreement with Sonic that he's going to be on his best behavior, which he will honor until it suits him. For the moment, he needs resources and a place to set up shop. I'm looking for anyone who wants to either work with him/be used by him, as he can always stand to have a few mooks around to do his bidding. I also plan on having him start making toys of some of his classic badniks, specifically to play up the image that he can potentially be reformed, all to mess with Sonic. I'll be looking to do a long form player plot with this down the line but for now, just getting him around and building CR would be great.
MANTA Board: Like I said with Darin, I'm up to have Eggman tag along with anyone or anything just for CR's sake.
