Quests are separated into five categories and all have flat point values: General (4pts), Corsair (4pts), Paladin (4pts), Bounties (6pts), and Specials (12pts). Note: characters helping opposing armada quests will only be rewarded 2pts for participation unless specified otherwise. Special quests won't always be available so it may appear blank at most times. These can range from group quests such as for special ship upgrades or island related quests, or they could be special event quests. All quest points can be used for the Rewards Shop.
For this month's board update, the quests have been completely refreshed with brand new quests! For the Hidden Chamber Special quest, comment here for questions and findings. For the Whale Helpers Special quest, comment here for questions and inquiries about the investigation.
If you have any other questions for the quests, comment to this entry.

A few months ago Snaxburg was discovered which was native to a sprawling amount of food-shaped creatures called Bugsnax. It was later discovered that consuming any parts of these creatures would infect the body and cause abnormal growths such as growing strawberries for hands or celery sticks for legs. After this discovery, the island was closed off to the public until a safe investigation can be done and a proper cure can be found.
The headlines are in, thanks to a ship of corsairs using a Bugsnax called a Megamaki to essentially enslave several people and change them into parasite-ridden workers, the investigation has been pushed forward. A cure needs to be found for the afflicted as soon as possible.
The island of Snaxburg has been reopened for research purposes only. If travellers are willing to explore this island to find answers to the Bugsnax issue, they will be fitted with the information needed to conduct a throughout investigation. Travellers are informed to never, by any means, eat any of the Bugsnax no matter how delicious they look. Head back to Snaxburg to see what can be found.
Snaxburg is littered with various Bugnax and here is a list of them. The bugs themselves are quite peaceful or skittish. If captured, they can be cut up or dissected to try and extract the cure’s ingredients that will reverse the effects of eating a plain Bugsnax. Find whatever might work, submit mixtures with other substances and test out finds.

A trendy new fashion statement has been making its way around all the Leviathans. Beautiful, rare, silvery fish scales being worn as jewellery. These gorgeous scales are said to be crafted from a rare deepwater fish that has luminescent, glowing scales that are as beautiful as they are hard to find. The fish are called Rainbow Fish.
Due to the rarity, the fish have been heavily poached. If the poaching continues, the fish will be in danger of going extinct. But due to the supply being lower than the demands, the scales fetch an incredible price. Either stop the poachers from killing and collecting more, or join in and make a pretty buck by collecting the fish and their scales too.
Or perhaps a better solution can be found? Fish breeding and fish farms aren't unlikely. That, or simply hoping that the fashion trend dies down before it’s too late…

Eltrut is suffering a little jellyfish conundrum. Due to some sort of algae explosion, jellyfish populations have exploded all around Eltrut’s waters. The jellyfish are infesting all of the beaches and even the lakes and rivers that flow through Eltrut’s shell as well.
These jellyfish need to be cleaned up as soon as possible because it appears that these jellyfish are highly toxic. If they’re left for too long, it might result in Eltrut getting very sick. Use whatever means necessary to clean them up and get rid of them. But beware, stepping on or getting stung by these jellyfish will result in some serious nausea, numbness of the limbs or even temporary paralysis.

A sneaky corsair specializing in creating fraudulent items named Jin Ramona has forged a famous artist’s painting and is now selling copies of it for a ton of dubloons. Because most people value artist integrity, find the fake paintings and dispose of them.
The painting itself is of a powerful warrior brandishing his axe against a towering titan.
Markets and art sellers will need to be investigated. Search through collections and anyone who might be selling these paintings and look for the fakes. One can tell that they are fakes by the strange little man that is painted hiding in the works. Perhaps even a con man likes to leave their mark on their work. Even if it's not their work in the first place.

A couple of months ago, Emet-Selch extended an open invitation to all manner of engineers to participate in the development of magitech engine, with the eventual goal of creating a ship engine based on schematics once held by Leroy Longbones. After working hard on a workshop to build this goliath project, it’s finally time to test it out.
Workers and visitors to the Forge will see an old ship sitting on the ramp outside now, being retrofitted to hold a prototype of the magitech engine, Emet-Selch's schematics detail. Whether it sinks or swims is dependent on the efforts of those working on it. If all goes well, perhaps a wealthy investor can be convinced to fund the building of a proper ship…
Head out to give Emet-Selch a hand with testing out the engine. And if you would like to invest, do see Emet-Selch to start some contracts.

A local man on Eltrut is requesting a special material harvested from the fire sprites located on Avaleci Island. He heard a rumour that this special material can be crafted out of their dead cores and can be used in fortifying various construction components and materials. He wants to make his mark in revolutionizing the construction world by using this material but he needs to get his hands on the dead fire sprite cores first.
Head out to the volcano side on Avaleci Island. Roaming around the volcanos, especially in the caverns, are the small flame sprites that can talk, sing, and dance. They are mischievous little things with a penchant for trouble, and love playing tricks on people, so keep your eyes peeled for them. Be careful, they also have some very sticky "fingers" and will try to steal whatever you might have on you. However, those sticky fingers are also very fiery, and will burn whatever they get their grubby little hands on! Overall, they seem to be very lighthearted creatures with sentient thoughts and feelings. Regardless of that…
Kill and harvest as many of these fire sprites as you can and bring them back to the man for a cut of the prize. Or keep some of these dead fire sprite cores for yourself…?

Cid has been busy making various things and once again requests volunteers to help test them out! They are mostly related to the home but there are some fun toys as well. Like before, along with monetary payment, those who help will receive the final product for free if they wish.
TEACAF
The Teacaf is a unique machine that can prepare either tea or various types of coffee with just a few switches. Pour in cold water into the reservoir, add the tea leaves or coffee beans in their appropriate chambers, flip the appropriate switches and settings, set the timer, and that's it! The machine will be able to boil water and process the drink. For tea, it will steep the tea for the set time. For coffee, it will grind the beans depending on the setting, for example normal drip coffee or espresso. Valves allow the user to adjust the pressure and amount of water to further customize one's drink. There are other modules to include milk that can be steamed, or cream, milk, and sugar to add.It has a self-cleaning feature utilizing the water reservoir and steam functions. There is a special environmental cleaning solution provided that is added to the water reservoir and after boiling it will flush through the entire system, filtering out through a hose that can exit straight into the sink. It will then use steam to dry out the inside. The individual modules can also be removed for further cleaning or repairs.
Only a few machines are available and will need to be tested at Cid's workshop with only trusted individuals able to take one home for a week.
TEMPECUP
A special mug that has a temperature reading function, capable of reading what temperature the fluids inside the mug is. Through the use of some magictech and elemental gemstones, it can also heat and cool the contents depending on desired setting. Automatically provided to those testing the Teacaf.Should it be successful, different version such as cups and thermoses will be developed.
IMPROVED SELF-CLEANING OVEN
Not so much "new" as improvements on current ovens available in Escordvi. Cid can install a system to current stoves to improve how quickly the stovetop and oven can reach set temperature and a new self-cleaning feature to help clean the inside of the oven using steam.Full sized ovens are in the works, but Cid is testing the system first to make sure it works well.
BAHAMUT'S BREATH
Small clockwork toys that can be wound up and move around. They take on the form of five different dragons and one can collect them all. What makes these little toys unique is they are advertised for "fun battles" and have a special capsule inside that can be filled with safe, colorful powders to "spray" out, mimicking a dragon's breath. The powders are not poisonous so if accidentally consumed it will pass safely (and colorfully) and it won't stain. Easy to wipe or wash away. There is a "boss" version that involves glitter. A larger dragon, to receive this, one must collect the five different toys available.
For those who wish to contain the dragon battles, a simple stage enclosure is available. Otherwise, it's mostly meant for outdoors, but consideration has been made should they be played with elsewhere.
Cid hopes to expand the line with water toys featuring the leviathans after testing how these work.
Player note: there is an open log available for use for direct interaction with Cid. Cid's involvement with certain items can be handwaved so long as it's discussed with the player!

Various reports have flooded in recently about animals and people mysteriously going missing. As this is a high level and delicate situation, it has been elevated to the top of the board.
After a few leads, all reports around Elah have ties to one place- Atnam. All missing subjects were reported having been outside with a small stingray charm they found. Therefore, a noble’s mansion on Atnam is under a secret investigation due to suspicious activity with mysterious carts coming and going at strange hours of the day.
Because the paladins don’t want to arouse too much activity and risk putting the missing subjects in danger, this will be an undercover investigation and rescue. Dress up as butlers and maids and infiltrate the mansion. Find the locked up targets and rescue them.
When found, be it an animal a child or an adult, there seems to be something wrong with them. Their bodies are mysteriously encrusted with strange gemstones or crystal-like patterns, almost as if they were turning into precious stones themselves. And the life in their eyes is missing, leaving them looking soulless and bodies weak…
The keyword here is to not kick up any violence. Sneak in, find them, and sneak out with them before any fighting or harm can be done. Justice will be delivered at another time, the missing targets are the main priority.

Rumours of a fantastical little island have Elah in abuzz lately. Apparently, a cat-shaped island called Tavolara Island is the place to be. It is said that the infamous warrior cats originated from this island, and residents from all over Elah want proof.
Head out to Tavolara Island and search for the warrior cat’s home. The island itself isn’t very big and can be traversed in about a day. Despite that, search the island and find many of the wild warrior cats living there and snap a few pictures with your shellphone for the locals back home to see. Everyone loves a good cat picture.
Just be careful because being as this island is home to the wild warrior cats, they are quite vicious and territorial. Explore at the risk of a few cat-caused injuries.

Paladins have recently brought in a young injured dragon that was found wounded on the coast of Ocard. It appears to have several arrowhead injures through its wings and tail. It will need to be treated with care and delicately cared for in the paladin’s conservatory before it can be returned to the wild.
Helpers are required to help administer medicine, antibiotics and water. Don’t forget helpers to help feed the injured creature as well. Fresh live chickens and sheep will need to be carefully fed to the dragon so it can regain its strength.
Do be careful, this dragon is wild and hurt and will not be friendly to most… But paladins must do their best to help it.

Various reports have flooded in recently about animals and people mysteriously going missing. As this is a high level and delicate situation, it has been elevated to the top of the board.
After a few leads, all reports around Nogard have ties to one place- Atnam. All missing subjects were reported having been outside with a small stingray charm they found. Therefore, the ships around Nogard are under a secret investigation due to suspicious activity with mysterious unaffiliated ships coming and going in the night.
The corsairs do not wish to start an uproar (just yet) so what better way to infiltrate these ships easily by posing as paladin commanders and pretending to do routine checks on these suspicious ships? Dress up as paladins, both commanders and officers and perform checks on the ships and find any of the missing subjects.
Remember, it’s better not to start a riot. Any targets found in shipping crates can be safely seized and should be saved first and foremost. These ships will get their comeuppance, yet.

A half-sunken ship has been sighted just off the coast of Nogard. As corsairs do, most are set on searching the sunken ship for any remaining treasures or loot to be snatched up.
Inside the ship, there isn’t much to note besides the broken wood and bits of metal casings. Yet, further inside will be a mess of rotten fruits and bits of old half-eaten food and broken booze bottles. Almost as if this ship is occupied… by a gang of messy and very drunk gorillas.
Searching the ship will yield various little treasures to be found. Search to your heart’s content, just mind the disorderly, drunk gorilla men.

The dubiously legal fighting rings around Nogard are at it again. This time, challengers are being asking to bring a knife to the fight. This month’s local fighting rings want everyone to brush up on their stabbing skills and win one for the money.
Show your grit as a corsair and participate in a knife fight. Be it against another fellow corsair or someone just passing by that was dragged in… Remember your skills on how to handle a knife! Don't worry, there are healers on site too.
If you can hold your own, you’ll get a nice prize! Or just some time in the healer's den.

An anonymous coalition of gamblers on Astares have placed a bounty on an Eagle-eyed Card Sharp and his Bunny, demanding their capture and compensation for cheating at the card tables. The pair are described as a silver-haired man with sharp eyes and a beautiful long-legged blonde who definitely hexed them, so tread with caution! Or laugh at them REALLY hard.

Rumors are spreading about a youth harassing the docks of Eltrut, specifically the merchants ships. While they aren't directly aggressive, their idea of pranks and mischief seem to involve no small amount of spoiled cargo, ship damage, and plenty of bumps and bruises for the crews! The single identifying feature everyone can agree on is a short ponytail, but other than that and general build, reports are torn between black or red hair, or even whether they're a girl or a boy...!

With the main hall making progress, some rubble has been cleared away to reveal an entranceway further into the temple ruins. The oysters continue their strange song and seem to sing with more fervor as they go through. However, the researchers are forced back when they are sprayed with black ink. Realizing there are many octopi inside, they request further help.
- Octoproblem. There are many octopi within the chamber and they are ready to spray ink that is strangely similar to the ooze from the walls. They are weak to light based spells and abilities and will retreat to dark corners if shone directly on them. However, some are more aggressive and will glow red if they mean to attack. While the researchers would rather not harm them, any killed will be taken to be studied as they are a new species they have never seen before.
- Mirrors. However, be careful with the light. Once inside, many mirrors will be found lining the walls. Most of them are broken but the glass is enough to reflect the light and potentially blind those inside. While the researchers will want to maintain the chamber's integrity, a few samples of the glass and smaller mirrors can be taken out for further study. These mirrors will not leave the temple. Those interested in studying the mirrors either on the walls or the extracted samples can comment to the designated thread for info on what they can find. Please provide specific questions and what the character will try to help us formulate specific answers.
- Drowsiness. One should not stay within the chamber for long as those who enter will start feeling drowsy after a while. Not good when underwater! Find and bring back any who are floating asleep.

After determining the cause of the whales' aggression, efforts are underway to rectify it.
- Hunt the Hunters. While many of the whales have already attacked several of the hunters ships, many more are still out there and are on the run. Only the fastest ships will be able to catch them, but they may receive help from dolphins and whales that join them, helping to guide them to them. Just be warned, these ships are heavily armed and will seek refuge in the most dangerous waters.
- Operation Cleanup. The trash is not just from the whale hunters, but from careless seafarers who just dump everything overboard. Those caught in the act will be fined or arrested. Otherwise, come up with ways to help collect the trash that has already started to spread out and drift further into the ocean. Like the hunters, dolphins and whales will help, and will even try to "collect" treash in bubble rings.
- Corsair Investigation. There is something strange with how merciless the higher ups are behaving towards those involved. It's not uncommon for the Corsairs to turn on each other, but the bounties on the hunters are higher than usual. Corsairs may want to investigate further, as there may be something else to do with this. (Corsair only, but Paladins can assist.)
Re: WHALE HELPERS: INVESTIGATION
Re: WHALE HELPERS: INVESTIGATION
The fishermen will also tell them an interesting legend of why they respect the sea as much as they do. In a world filled with large leviathans and other creatures, it's no surprise that there is a belief that there is something greater that dwells in the deep. Whether a leviathan, a deity, or just another large creature, there are countless stories of a large beast that lives in the deep oceans. Some say they've heard tales of entire islands consumed by tidal waves from this creature's wrath. The only warning they have is a massive shadow before there is a dark red eye peering from its depths before destruction. As for why they were destroyed, no one is certain. However, there is a common thread that the people of these islands had been disrespectful of the sea, so many believe it as "divine punishment" of sorts from the "gods of the seas."
These incidents are said to have happened centuries ago so these legends could just be put as made up fairy tales to teach everyone to respect the ocean, born from that turbulent time when the Escordvi oceans of today were formed. But should further investigation be made in the old records, some entries will be found of islands that had disappeared or utterly destroyed by what could only be assumed as a tsunami due to the flooding and water damage left behind. Perhaps remnants of these islands may still stand...
Hope this helps!
