SAIL WITH ME: AUGUST 2024

An abbreviated version of our CR Workship! Same concept, just a lot smaller. If you have multiple characters, make an individual toplevel for yourself with your player info and comment to it with each character separately.

We also include a designated toplevel for Crew Recruitment where players can make OOC ad posts for others to either join or request to join or make a crew. This is all for OOC coordination, so you'll have to figure out how it works ICly.

Now that I've actually read the quest! ...I'm honestly inclined to think Alfyn would show up not to do the challenge, but because some people will end up getting way too dangerously cold and wet, because everyone on these islands seems to share that specific brain cell religiously.

WHICH IS TO SAY if he spotted Sherlock in distress in any given situation he would approach and try to help, but this one seems perfect for your "delve more into his Issues" wishes and look a convenient reason for a familiar face to pop by...

There will be something happening with Sherlock at the challenge whether he's just outright refusing or something a lot more dramatic

Sherlock is not going to be able to get out talking about his fear of water one way or another. Alfyn is likely to unlock the "mother tried to drown me as a child" lore

So I heard back on the mods and have control on how the senior Paladins will react to a newbie refusing to participate in the challenge. How much distress would you like to see? Low end, relentless teasing and peer pressure. Middle end, attempt to push into water. High end, YEET THE VICTORIAN oops he just blacked out in the water (but he has a bubble charm for this reason so he's not in risk of drowning)

The latter would be the most obvious with mental distress, but I also don't what to inflict the water panic on people who'd rather not

MAYBE NOT so far as yeet the victorian but Alfyn will not be letting any stuffed-shirt senior paladins force someone into the water when he clearly? Doesn't want to? He would go in after Sherlock too if he felt it was necessary.

Exactly why I asked. Sherry will still be pretty distressed by senior paladins even playfully pushing him towards the water, so it'll give Alfyn ample opportunity to come to his rescue
