Character: Agatha of the Woods Beyond Canon: The School for Good and Evil (Book) Armada: Paladin
About: So Agatha's hometown of Gavaldon has a curse you could say -- every four years a mysterious figure known as the Schoolmaster comes to town and kidnaps two children. One goes to the School for Good, the other to the School for Evil and neither are ever heard from again. Well, most of the time -- sometimes they may show up in fairy tale books that the local bookshop receives from an unknown benefactor.
In the first book Agatha and her best friend Sophie are the ones kidnapped. Sophie has dreamed of being a pretty princess in the School for Good and everyone thinks Agatha is definitely a witch destined for the School for Evil. Imagine the shock when Agatha ends up in the School for Good!
Beyond her looks (which nowadays aren't quite as witch-like anymore) Agatha is said to have a soul of such pure good that her talent is making wishes come true for other people. It also helps her be very talented with magic
Despite starting off the series as withdrawn and sullen, seeing herself as dark and depressing and ugly Agatha's opinion of herself shifts a lot in the first book.
By the end of the second she comes to grips with the fact that she deserves to do what is best for her now and then rather than everyone else. Her leadership abilities also begin to develop, though they won't fully bloom for another few books.
PLANS
General: Make more CR! Agatha has witty attitude and a sharp bit of sarcasm to her and though it's softened in the second book she gets along with people a lot better by then too. She's around 16 at her current canon point so I'd love for her to make friends around her own age, though I'll take CR with anyone.
MANTA Board: A MOOGLE BY ANY OTHER NAME: What a good chance for Agatha to test out her Escordvi-given light abilities.
DOING IT THE BARD WAY: Because I love the idea of sharing lyrics and her getting all flustered over how bad she is at it.
DON'T GO CHASING WATERFALLS: Because I think the idea of her going, "No way why would I do this?" and then ending up in the freezing cold waterfall still is real funny.
LIGHT CLEANERS: Another chance to try out light abilities!
MEGAMAKI MADNESS: She's sneaking in mogrified as a cockroach so she can go skuttling around to try and find the captured people. You want to hear a cockroach talk to you?
SEEDS OF HOPE: Agatha took some of the mushroom caps from the Abyss so she's going to be planting and cultivating those. At first she might try them in the dark because mushrooms but once she notes they want the sun she'll transfer them over.
Event: I didn't do a top-level last time so I'm definitely doing on now.
