About: Gale is a Wizard with a capital W, meaning magic is his entire life and his whole heart. He is a former prodigy who was found so talented that he drew the attention of Mystra, goddess of magic, and went on to become her Chosen as well as her lover, until he defied her in the name of his own ambition and their relationship came to a swift end. He continues to pay the price for his ambitions and tampering with forbidden magic, but even tired and worn down as he is, he is a pleasant personality who puts on a good face when possible and is thrilled to discuss a good book or chat about magic theory whenever he gets the chance. He's also frequently accompanied by his assistant/familiar Tara, who is a tressym— basically a magical talking, flying cat. More information can be found at his app and the BG3 Wiki!
Abilities: Capable of all kinds of magic, right down to creating his own spells and composing the Weave to bow to his whims when at full power. Though he is currently debuffed due to the orb of destructive magic that's now housed within him, he has worked hard and regained access to a wide array of spells, and has been interested in tapping into elemental energy here in Escordvi to use it the way he would manipulate the Weave back home. He's regained some of his ability to conjure illusions freely, as well, though large-scale or long-term conjurations are exhausting and must be used sparingly.
PLANS
General: He currently has a shellphone post up and is participating in the Garuda player plot, where he'll be getting a bit roughed up, so he'll be recovering for the first part of the month. He has a lot of ongoing threads from the TDM and late last month that I plan to continue, as well. Also getting to know his new crewmates from the Hideaway! His encounter with Garuda is going to shake him up enough (quite literally) that I'll be progressing his own personal arc afterwards with some good old fashioned physical deterioration, so I'm looking forward to that.

Gale is friendly, curious, and gets along with most people quite well. He also loves cooking, in addition to just enjoying eating well. I would love to have him help some people with learning magic or studying/comparing different worlds' takes on magic and alchemy.
